    BEST WAY TO USE BOXES. First use paper tape and a bazooka.. fiberglass does not bond to compound.. Use a 10 inch box and a 12 inch box ... run the 10 inch box wide open , do not set any tension to the knife bar.. Also remove return springs from the box so air does not come in when spring opens box.. after dry scrape high spots and lap marks ..DO NOT SAND.. Then use 12 inch box ..remove return springs Set the blade tension to 3 .. When you mix mud with water if its too hard to push or you leave wheel marks themud is too thick . You should be able to fill the box with the pump and hold the box sideways and mud should not run out of the box or mud is too thin ... Use a measuring cup and find the correct mix and then use that water amount every time and then you can mix 20 buckets and mark the lids as box mud.

    get mud to a peanut butter consistency and they work fine. I imagine your running marathons with it by now . Have your helper or partner to follow and clean up it goes really fast.

    Once you get good at it you can even run bead with it and soon enough you’ll be putting up 35 gallons a day

    This tool is good. But you still need to do some by hand.

      They seem to work well. Cleanup seems to be the most important thing.

    Do you have to skim after using this tool? How about sanding etc??

    • @MaxRockatansky853
      @MaxRockatansky853  4 роки тому +1

      Usually a bed coat then two skims. Minimal sanding if done right. :)

    What do you think about it now that you have had some time to run it? If run told for years and the start of your video made me cringe, but I seen you started to learn by the end. It’s all about practice.

    • @MaxRockatansky853
      @MaxRockatansky853  4 роки тому +2

      This was literally the FIRST time we'd ever used them. Yes...practice was needed. You didnt cringe any harder than us. Lol Now its easy breezy.

    It’s not automatic. It’s has to be done manually, by hand.
