I, too, like the longevity of the Chevy model. I think I heard you say that 2021 was going to be the last year for production of the NV. Becoming another orphan may mean reduced parts availability for the NV. What is Nissan going to produce in its place? Body on frame or unibody? Same size or smaller? One thing I do like about the competition, and why so many are being built out for vanlife, is the ability to stand up inside them without aftermarket roof modification--available for Express vans, don't know for NVs.
Could you imagine though if Chevy offered their express with a high roof option and all of those premium modern features like in a transit? Nobody would be able to compete
We have an NV. We removed the back row and shifted the middle two rows back a little, so there is tons of leg room. We only have 4 people riding in the back, so it works great. I also like the engine being out in front of me instead of next to me.
We have an NV and absolutely love the power and space it has. Upgrading the rear air to put more cool air to the back passengers but all in all it’s a great van
We go on trips with the Nissan NV all the luggage fits in side with no problem . I didn’t have to move no 💺 seat at all . Only if I want too. Five people!
You can fit 8 people in the Nissan NV if you remove the back sets of two seats. You can fit 10 people if you just remove one set. The van with all seats in place sits 12.
We looked at both the NV and the Express. Settled on the Chevy Express 3500 for towing our 30' travel trailer. Tons of room for the family in the passenger version.
I appreciated this comparison. I have to reveal my 6th grade sense of humor and say I had a good laugh when this guy farts in the video. Especially funny that they didn't edit it out.
I work as a postal rural carrier in Alabama, I been wanting a van or box truck with the ability to do delivery packages and letters with the ability to carry a small chemical tiolet and add some shelves remove all the seats except the drivers seat and center console in bfe where sometimes I need 4x4 and convert it to a right hand drive with a kit in 2024.
The Nissan nv would definitely. Be my 2nd choice..that Nissan looks tough..minus the bells and whistles..that 6.0 mated with a 6L90 is a sweet package..4x4 would be beast.
I don’t understand the NV. They make a van based on the Titan (a good looking truck) Then spend the time and money to reengineer the front to be butt ugly. Imagine that van with the Titan front, then lifted and 4x4. Itd be awesome! Wonder if the bodywork could be swapped.
The NV is a great van size wise. But do watch out for their motors. They use the same engine as the titan. And current gen titans are notorious for having to get their engines changed from failure. So make sure to check into having it under warranty.
With the smaller engine in a heavy load you're going to spend more gas than with a larger engine and that same load. Not only that it's going to be a lot less maintenance on that bigger Engine too
The chevy one is best in my opinion as it seems to be very similar to the older ones and possible parts might be compatible. if im buying a nissan or a chevy its either gonna be a truck or van. anything else than a van or truck its gonna be the cars from the 90s
I have a 2021 nissan nv 3500 sv which is v6 engine. I heard you can't put a nissan titan 4 wheel drive. For our family we remove back seats so we can hang out in the back while kids are playing in the park.
I had a 2004 GMC...it was a good truck ...But when I bought the 2012 Nissan NV2500 ...the NIssan was so much better...It was like night and day...The old Chevy design is just plain tired.
You dont build vans better, just more expensive and not well though out. 3.5 inch blocks are not a 5 inch lift and even after the Bronco Skyjacker coils that sag not rated for econolines and you remove the sway bar so you sway and you bend the I beams plus your double doughnut radius arms are crap. Action van suspension is a better product and better price. For Chevrolet vans, i recommend Boulder Off Road.. save 2k and get 5 to 6 in with Action Van Suspension and a steering stabilizer, too. Plus, Action Van sits higher, rides better because of actual custom coils, and retains geometry. They also do 4x4 conversions.
Hello Jeremy, I have a Nissan NV 3500 and it has a 4inch lift kit on it . I saw 👀 that you got on your van king shock 2.0 , did you have to special order them to fit? I would love to get the information so I can put that on my rear . Or foxy shock can you help me out here? 😳
Haha Farts always elevate a great video! Awesome Video! QUESTION?..........I've ordered a new 2022 Savana and would like to do bumpers at some point.....should I opt not to add the lane keep assist or the blind spot detection if I want bumpers? or can one install front and rear bumpers with these options? Thanks for the info!
You don't check reply on your uploaded? I ask again. I'm living in Los Angeles. I have a 2014 Chevy Express Cargo van. It's a Quigley 4x4, 3" lifted. But I want to lift to 8"(because I'm a extreme off road enthusiast) Can you lift it 8"? If you can, how much the coast? Not just suspension lift, I want it to be an altimate off road muchine, thus rough terrain wheel, steel bumber should be attached.
@@WeldtecDesigns i have a 07 xpress 1500 w/6cyl, laying around. i want to convert to sa 4wd, wondering if i should scrap this & acquire a 25/3500 & start? ideas? thanks for all you do
@@preparedbear5727 Yes, you will need to scrap this if you want to get a 4WD by us. The vans that are compatible are the 2010-CURRENT Chevrolet Express/GMC Savannah 25/3500 6.0 Gas.
I honestly love how Chevy hasn't changed much about their vans in so long. Means parts are easy and cheap to find. And plentiful in junkyards.

With how cheap Nissan parts can be, the cost difference may not matter in the long run.
Try Boulder off road for chevy or Action Van Suspension for econoline. Better and cheaper
Wow those 2 vans are so beautiful. I’ve never given the Nissan van a second look till now lol
I love them both, but the Chevy will always have my heart. Awesome builds!

I love how they make these vans 4 wheel drive and fix up the suspension. It's a no brainer
I drive a 2000 GMC Safari. I love it but its old! i WISH Chevy would make a 2024 Astro/Safari with the Z71 truck front end.
We have an NV and absolutely love the power and space it has. Upgrading the rear air to put more cool air to the back passengers but all in all it’s a great van
@9:24 yup! The 1 thing I like about my express over something like the suburban or taho is that I can just walk to the back.

8 months ago, we thought $5 gallon was insane 😂
The 6.6 L cargo vans basically unicorns. For every 200 vans as you might have 15 6.6 l

Did you know the new Chevy express van comes with an optional 2.8 liter duramax four cylinder turbo diesel. Claiming 35mpg highway!
He mentions it specifically in the video

There's a hand gun holder on the front corner of the drivers seat.
Those Chevy Vans also run forever! Many are way past the 300,000-mile mark and still working with no major issues.

Nice seat upgrade in the Chevy
Hopefully I pick up my GMC with a quigley system in it tomorrow and see ya all soon for a WeldTex upgrade

All the stuff you want for it, we can do! Let us know when you get the van :)

Can you guys fix my Advanced 4x4 Vans conversion? My welds broke and had to be rewelded, and one of my CV axles has popped out twice.
Can you big King suspension build on a Nissan NV 3500 4X4?
You do 4WD conversions?
I have an extended 07 E350 with a 5.4 and the G. G. is a sure thing... are you able to do the conversion as well?
Thanks....
We only do 4WD conversions for the Chevrolet. However is a link to our 2WD lift kits: weldtecdesigns.com/product-category/ford/
