    In the extended versions, the Chevy is far superior to the Ford for trailer towing. The long overhang and shorter wheelbase on the Fords make them sketchy as heck with a heavy tongue weight trailer. The Chevy's are very stable. IMO the GM 6.0 is brutally tough as well. I'm running your 3" kit on my 2003 3500. I was not able to get the Fox shocks as they were backordered however I went with Bilsteins and I really can't complain about that setup. The 3" spindles are a sweet piece of design and machining/welding.

    Awesome video Jeremy! Love the 5" kit on my Express, great ride and tracks perfect. But those E-lines are tough out in the dirt for sure.

    Jeremy, I was wondering if you could do basically the same video except while you are discussing the differences you put each of the vans up on a lift and we get to SEE the difference up close?? THAT would really hammer it home for me for sure!!!

    The one thing I learned about vehicles and weight you have to have suspension set up and aligned with the intended weight you plan on hauling in/on the vehicle I grew up beside a costume shop that was building four wheel drive custom vans
    Their most expensive equipment and part of their builds ,,,suspension,alignment,wheels,and tires,
    The old mechanic had a light cigarette in his lips 24/7
    I quote if you can’t stop and drive them down the rd 365 days a year there is no sense even putting a battery in it
    Nothing costs you more then putting them in the ditch

    Great video, question why don’t you do lift kits 2000 Chevy express 2500, does three years make that big of a difference?

    I have an 08 econoline old medshuttle van lol, the 5.4 jist blew and now im stuck on paying 5400 for the motor swap or trading it in for a 2023 express, id be losing the 6'6 ceiling in the ford and getting a standard height in the chevy? Open to opinions guys, wouldnt mind losing the height

    The Chevy van with the longer wheel base and less rear overhang is better for towing compare to the Ford? Also, with the lift and big tires, don't that kill tow ratings and makes the van less efficient for the sake of looks? I never see a point on lifted vans and its purpose as again, makes the van less efficient and practical for use.
    I had a Ford with the 6.0 and loved the van. I tow about 9k lbs of enclosed trailer to race tracks across the eastern part of the USA. I'm looking to get the most efficiency out of the van for fuel milage and tow rating. I still think leaving mostly stock is the way to go for reliability.

    I enjoy all your videos!
    I'd like to see a similar comparison between Ford & Chevy 4X4 lifted vans. I have a 07 Roadtrek 190/Chevy 3500 Quigley 4X4 with torsion bar suspension, still dreaming about lifting it. Would like to hear your thoughts on that. Do I have to lose my torsion bars to lift it?

    • @kennethwalton2380
      @kennethwalton2380 3 роки тому

      Why not just get 2-3” out of torsion keys plus the height difference in larger tires

    • @vickimark9603
      @vickimark9603 3 роки тому

      @@kennethwalton2380 That is a thought. Not sure that is recommended over a well-engineered lift kit for ride quality and, more importantly, handling.

      @@vickimark9603 I’m a used car dealer that deals primarily in 4WD’s and I’ve put hundreds if not thousands of sets of torsion keys on and they ride and drive just as good as a regular lift after an alignment which is required on a lift too
      I’m not trying to sell you on it because it doesn’t matter to me but you’d be happy with it imo

    Dumb question time. I know I know ttb vs ifs. But why don’t you all offer lift spindles for Ford? Won’t work with the geometry?

    • @WeldtecDesigns
      @WeldtecDesigns  3 роки тому +1

      Correct, the geometry is key especially with custom bent i beams, its very easy to throw alignment out of wack as well as camber and castor to the point where you cant align in it! This entire 6" ford kit components all works perfectly together.
