Nice. A natural and true design for picea abies. How many years do you let picea abies rest before styling? Can you style while in growing season? Thanks for great content
Thanks for watching! Usually I let the trees rest at minimum two growing seasons after collecting, if possible even more. I work Just on healthy and strong trees. The best time for work on Spruces by my opinion and in my climate is right after the new growth harden up. This is the end of June, begining of July here.
@@Torabonsaischool Do you cut back and clean the tree up a little for ramification every year, or do you let it grow completely free before working on it? From yamadori too first bonsai pot, how many years?
First growing season I let it grow without touching to gain as much stenght as possible. Then in next seasons maybe I cut back just the longest branches. But mainly I let them grow freely. How many years from yamadori to pot? It depends from tree to tree, how it reacts, how severe the styling was... But in the average I let the tree grow in training conteiner for one more growing season after styling to see how it will react and then if everything is ok, I re-pot it in to first bonsai pot.
I easily can tell when a bonsai is perfectly styled: the final result looks amazing even in an ugly plastic container. I can imagine how it will look like in a beautiful yellowish bonsai pot. These mature trees costs thousands of dollars but they worth every penny.
Is it possible to design a spruce in summer? I only ask because the temperatures are very high and the tree is stressed by the design... Thanks! Very nice work... 🙏
In my climate this time of the year is actually the best one for working on Spruce. Reaction of the trees is always great. Of course after care is very important, I protect the tree from wind and sun for a week or two and I also take great care about watering.
Omg, that must be the most satisfying bonsai transformation i have ever seen
Thank you! 😊
I am speechless. My goodness, do we need this beauty at the moment... Thank you

@@Torabonsaischool Thank you! So how exactly do you water this tree after it has been created in summer?
I cut the watering a little bit and I also moist the crown - that I usually avoid.
MAGNIFIQUE
Merci!
Can you tell me price before and after wiring please
I have no idea :-)

So basically give the tree a haircut, put on hot rollers and tease.
