      @@ExfilOffRoad Not too bad. It took me 2 full days to do the front bumper, winch, and the lights. I'm not a car savvy guy. The bumper wasn't too hard, but it took 2 of us to install that heavy thing. I had to grind an area on my Jeep for the bumper to sit correctly. I had to reposition the solenoid sitting near my front lower driver side radiator. The winch was fairly easy. Tightening the nuts was a bit tricky. Duct tape came in handy with that. And the lights were easy to install. The wiring wasn't too bad. What took me 2 days was my Jeep was giving me a 'check engine' light after my install. I had to run into town to get a reading on what that was all about. Basically it was nothing and eventually went away. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with my repositioning the solenoid. Then after a few days my battery went dead. I ended up having to disconnect my winch wires from my battery because it was draining my battery. I'll just have to connect them back when I need my winch i guess. Only need it for off roading anyway so it's not a big issues. Other than that it was a success. It added a lot of weight to my Jeep though. Now i need to focus on changing out my brakes.

      Yea the winches are known to draw battery and can also short out. Last thing you want is it doing that I’ve seen it and it sucked in the bumper and smoked. Do a quick connect if you haven’t such as I did. Love that set up.

    Nice install, would love to see how this stacks up to the Badlands.

    Hey man just watched your video ,I was actually kind of sweating it never hooked one of these up before this is for a customer's Jeep a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara you made it incredibly easy good audio good video and thank you for not having a bunch of loud background music and a stupid annoying intro like a lot of these UA-camrs have, I'm mounting this one same exact winch on the Warren elite bumper it was really easy to go from the underneath to put those mounting screws in, just curious are those Baja designs lights you have in the front of your bumper

      Thank you, I have not tried that, the wireless remote works quite well and I haven’t even tried to plug it in.

      @@ExfilOffRoad Thank you so much for replying back. Do you still love the winch and no issues? If you do try plug in with door half way up can you update here please. I want to buy this winch but afraid of the door clearance on my bumper.

    Glad to see a well done SX10SR install! I have a limited height install location, how tall is the winch from the base of the foot to the highest point after the control box is removed (the top of the bar bridge). How do you like the winch now that you've had it a few months?

    • @ExfilOffRoad
      @ExfilOffRoad  2 роки тому +2

      ill have to take that measurement and get back to you. I do like the winch. No ragrets, not a single letter.

    was there a breaker fuse or just direct to the battery? Thanks

      Straight to battery, however I have a quick disconnect and have the winch disconnect until I need it.

      @@ExfilOffRoadhows the winch doing so far and should i go with the warn evo instead? I can get superwinch 12k synthetic locally at msrp so im inclined to it. Idk if the warn evo is worth it being more expensive and still chinese. Not that i think there’s anything wrong with that im sure warn being warn will have quality control to back their name.

    • @ExfilOffRoad
      @ExfilOffRoad  5 місяців тому

      Winch is fine. Warn is just a name to me. No loyalty to anyone. If you want the name pay for it. But truthfully the badlands looks great and will get the job done at a fraction of the price. I got this prior to the new badlands release, but I’d probably buy one of those. I do not regret superwiinch but I like to save money. And even warn breaks

    Don't really care about how it looks. I just want it to work well. These are very SLOW winches. The 12k is only 23fps 0 load line speed. The old, discontinued, talon series 12.5k winch was 62fps 0 load speed.
    When you have 60feet of cable to reel in, that's 3 minutes vs 1 minute of time spent standing around.

    • @ExfilOffRoad
      @ExfilOffRoad  2 роки тому

      Interesting. Seems pretty fast to me. This one is on synthetic, and honestly if it rolled any faster it would be yanking things not dragging them. Maybe you should see if you can try someone’s.

    • @KurNorock
      @KurNorock 2 роки тому

      @@ExfilOffRoad I specified zero load speed for a reason. I am not talking about the speed at which it pulls a load. I am talking about the speed it reels in under no load, as in, after the pull when you are putting your winch line away.

    • @ExfilOffRoad
      @ExfilOffRoad  2 роки тому

      Guess I just don’t understand why even say anything. The video was not about installing the most amazing winch ever made, it was how to install a winch. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @KurNorock
      @KurNorock 2 роки тому

      @@ExfilOffRoad Jesus man, don't take it so personal. I wasn't even talking about your video. I was talking specifically about the winch. I'm not even saying you should have gotten a different winch or anything like that. I was just pointing out a difference in speed between the former top winch and the current top winch for those people who might care about that.

    • @ExfilOffRoad
      @ExfilOffRoad  2 роки тому

      Nobody is taking anything personal, in your comment all you needed to state was “anyone looking into winches” . If you want to make a comment to help people, do so, this just looked like a random I don’t like it comment. I love when people direct efforts to be helpful and add insight.
