Still waiting on this bad boy. Wish they could get them sent out soon for people that pre ordered months back. 😪 been waiting to test vs my badlands.
I have one arriving in a few days. I decided to go with the sx12 version. I love the looks of the cable and roller fairlead. Only issue I may run across is how to mount the front license plate.
That's somthing next on my upgrade list
Do they fit in a factory jeep steel bumper (on the JT) ?
Designed and engineered is the us. Where's it built?
Can it be installed in the OEM Mopar metal bumper that comes with the Rubicon JL...?
I like that white light 😉
Unfortunately it only works while using the corded remote =/
can the remote door on the control box open just a little past half way up and still be able to plug in the remote cable?
Can the SX line be mounted foot forward...???
That light makes this great for mall crawling...lol
Just got the winch.. My remote is not working.. does not activate the winch? Anyone know how long the battery lasts that comes in the remote? It may be dead..
what is unloaded line speed? It doesn't say on web site. It's like they are hiding it like it's slow.
It is slow. 3x slower than the old talon series. Which sucks because they are replacing my talon with this one under warranty since the talon is discontinued.
I guess i can't complain too much though. It's still a free replacement..
Does this have the auto-engaging clutch like the previous (now discontinued) EXP line?
No it does not. This has a pull and turn clutch handle
First time winch user, i just got this one and cant find a guide on how to use the wireless remote, the wired remote operates as should but the wireless one doesnt seem to work.
I hold in both buttons for a few seconds and then it works for me
@@dref4761 Thanks, I have been trying to figure it out for days!
@@AQSWEBGUY awesome! I only winched a tree off a trail so far,, but it seems like it'll be a great winch. I'm glad I bought it!
Why why why don’t they put the port door on the control box on the driver side ... just seems more logical
Because they are sold worldwide.
Because they assume you're going to have a spotter working the winch?
@@johnspurrier0001 lol..since when?
I think Warn Xeon platinum is way ahead of this as it's remote does everything without fulling around with drum engagement as it's done by remote.
yeah but the cost of the xeon 8klbs is the price of the SW 12klb model and theyre pretty close in quality and this is my deciding factor on warn vs sw.
Made in the USA vs Chinese shit. I'll take the Superwinch everyday of the week.
The Xeon is made in USA and has the upgraded Warn synthetic rope. So comparing the price of the two is apples and oranges JS
CYYNNNAA !
no thanks
Like every other winch except a top of the line Warn for 1k plus..
Are there any good American made winches under $1000? Or what really is the best chinese made winch?
@@felixvargas4112 Probably this winch and that warn VR series.
“ designed and engineered in USA” aka: made in China
Like Warn VR series...
@@glennm2354 correct
Which winch in this price range is made in the USA? Even the non-VR warns use globally sourced parts so theyre not exactly “made in the USA” either.
People really need to get over the whole “made in the USA” thing. If it is made here, great, if its hot, folks here i the USA are still being employed to engineer them and distribute, which many time it would employee more than manufacturing with all the robotics involved in that now days.
@@drsus0 You make a good point, but American made with American parts should be #1 on the list. Thats why you go with Orca coolers and not Yeti for my direct example.
No winches are made in USA, other than custom winches like the ones that Superwinch makes for the US Military.
