AERODYNAMIC PERFORMANCE
Among the most important and widely studied properties in racing, no stone was left unturned
during the development of the X-Fifteens aerodynamics. Designed and refined in SHOEIs
state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility, the X-Fifteen boasts impressive improvements in all
aerodynamic performance measurables, most notably a 6.1% reduction in drag and a 1.6%
reduction in lift [as compared to its predecessor].
RACING VENTILATION
Overheating while riding and racing can have a direct impact on rider fatigue and safety, which
is precisely why ventilation performance was a crucial feature while designing the X-Fifteen.
Putting the helmet through its paces in SHOEIs in-house wind tunnel throughout development
revealed optimal airflow in multiple riding positions, but none more important than the
aerodynamic, tucked racing position.
FIELD OF VISION
Taking a new angle on performance, the CWR-F2R shield system provides vast improvements
in upper and lateral fields of vision. SHOEI engineers revised the eyeport trajectory to increase
the upper field of view by 5mm without changing the position of the riders head inside the
helmet. Though fractional by design, the resulting view through the X-Fifteens eyeport is
significant while positioned in racings extreme lean angles.

Yes sir iam glad your doing videos with it now. The channel will blow up
Thank you so much!
Doesn't seem like a good idea to attach a camera to a helmet that's being tested. Maybe it doesn't interfere with aerodynamics and/or noise isolation, but what if it does?
How else are we going to get those great POV shots?! It's for demonstration purposes only. We would need to ask our test pilot if it affected his ride.
@@SpeedAddictsTVjust test and inform us about the difference of aerodynamics between go pro and no go pro, would give some extra watchtime and more information, win win
If only shipping costs were low for Uganda id be buying this helmet yesterday on your website
Unfortunately, international shipping can be quite expensive. Sorry about that. We wish that wasn't the case.
I'm digging the darth vader black look.
It looks super slick for sure! Thanks for watching!
Is the X15 better than my GT air 2?
X15 should be good at aerodynamics and ventilation!
great ventilation but i have an issue w the cheek pads and something pushing into the back of my ear personally
Thanks for the response. I had to order a smaller size cheek pads on my Shoei. The ones it came with were so tight that I got a headache from wearing the helmet. Once I changed then out it was sooooo much better.
@@DominatorMods hows the noise? Im deciding between the rf1400 and x15
One question with or with out a Cardo if you get a BT added it can poke you in the ears a bit, but I would go for the 1400 Its a bit more Speaker friendly. Plus I sell those more at Cyclegear they only cost $579.99 instead of $919 for the matt black, you can get the helmet and the coms for it for about the same price as a a X15. But then again ece 2205 is over with and the z15 holds upt to exe 2206 standards. in short the biggest change is the eps liner thickness increase. Which i believe is why the speakers poke lol@@mikehunt7442
