David's Mazda Cosmo | DRIVEN | Ep 12
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 лис 2019
- A pilot for many years, David’s fascination for early Japanese automobiles was most likely fuelled by growing up in Hiroshima - the birthplace of Mazda. Part way through his flying career he tracked down his boyhood dream, a 1971 Mazda Cosmo. His fondness for rotary-powered cars has seen him add numerous Japanese models to his collection which he hopes will be complete one day.

Wow! Great production! Thanks for sharing.
Really well put together short film, credit to all those involved! Is it any wonder free to air TV is dead, with excellent free content such as this here on UA-cam? Thanks David for sharing your journey with us...
This is one beautiful car with such a beautiful story behind it. Thank you.
Love it! Never have seen one in the States ........
Met David while visiting Australia at a Japanese classic car show while eating a hot dog and we both happened to be rotary fanatics and he told me about this car. Wow truly beautiful!
Fond rotating memories of my RX2 Cpe :)
Beautiful car David! I’ve never been a so called Japanese car enthusiast but my late dad had a 1973 Toyota Celica in metallic navy blue back in the late 70’s! I loved that car but your particular Mazda was always a favourite of mine! You share something in common with my late father. He also worked for Ansett, actually Reginald Ansett himself when he first started his business in western Victoria back in the day! Dad drove taxis & then buses I believe for Sir Reginald!🤣👍🏼
What a unique looking car
I wish they still made this
Rotary fanatic myself...would love to see a feature on the M13P Luce Rotary in the garage 😉
Nigel Coggins I was thinking the same thing. We all know about the Mazda Cosmo Sport. Not enough folks know about Mazda’s only front wheel drive rotary powered car.
Nigel Coggins check out my channel, did a basic feature a couple of years back. Also one of the Mazda Roadpacer (Rotary powered Kingswood)
Just love them and how rare they are
Totally agree,
my brother and I nearly bought a Luce R130 back in the 1980s...
Oh to be able to turn back time....
Lovely looking car. I've heard of the Mazda Cosmo. For some reason, it was never sold here in the USA.
Interior looks similar to my Mazda R100 which also had a 10A engine The R100 had a wood rimmed steering wheel, 4 speed gearbox, tinted windows including the windscreen, and the road wheels were big and narrow _ 14" x 145 if I remember correctly. I may still have the workshop manual but not the car alas
Or more like the R100 interior looks similar to the Cosmo! ;-)
