Just splurged on the Tab S7+ during Black Friday sales, definitely wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for Clip Studio Paint. I am very pleased with my purchase. CSP is definitely just a port of the desktop version, I've been using it since its inception and I feel right at home. After spending about 1-2 hours optimising the workspace, shortcuts and commands, getting a drawing lightbox stand, overall, it is as efficient as my Cintiq. The lack of buttons was offset by the fact that I can select stuff with my spare left hand. Your canvas might twitch if it detects your palm as pinch/rotate, but hardly the worst thing to happen. The drawing experience with Tab S7+ and CSP is excellent, better than a last gen Cintiq & not-new-computer combo. The only issue I ran into was that free transformation is very slow, I've used CSP on 3 different computers and it's never this slow. One tip. If you open CSP in Samsung Dex mode (basically their desktop mode), the icons will be smaller and give you more drawing space. The icons are still big enough for my small hands to click on.

When the pen is close, you can't touch the screen. That's a feature not a bug. It helps immensely with unwanted hand touches. I don't think they will be able to disable that.

thanks for the review teoh! i love clip studio paint, but not the subscription system. i think windows tablet with regular csp looks like a better deal
Fr! I really wanted to buy a Samsung Tab S7+, and I was even more excited to learn it was getting CPS because the android sphere is really lacking in terms of drawing software... but I'd rather buy something once no matter the sum, than sign up for a subscription.
Love CSP but that's kind of a robbery that they make you pay monthly or yearly even if you're already a customer of theirs. I've been considering getting the tab s7+ to work on projects away from my main set up and have been considering the ability to port my projects to a cloud storage where I can. I'm starting to wonder if I should use another software at least as far as android goes.
@@MaoRatto There is no need to explain because different people see value differently. CSP subscription is US $25/year, or $2+/month. For someone who draws often with CSP it's definitely worth the money for all the features provided. EASILY worth the money when you consider Photoshop is US $10/month. But CSP monthly subscription just an option. You can go with CSP desktop which is one time purchase, or go with the many other free apps, e.g. Krita, Medibang Paint Pro. Just because it's worth the money to me does not mean it's going to be worth the money for you. For desktop users, it makes sense to get the one time purchase. For tablet users, there's only the subscription model unfortunately.
I am try it on Samsung tab 6 lite and to be honest I don't like it , its try to be a pc version on tablet and forget the device is not a pc . I have heavy Machin pc and surface pro 6 using photoshop on both ( digital paint and photograph as hobby) but want a tablet for easy of use and long battery on the go . not need another keyboard and tiny tiny interface that i cant see !! disappointment . thank you for your amazing and honest reviews
great for a 13 inch screen. But if you have a 10-11 inch screen, it looks very massive. With all these tool bars, you have a drawing area like an iPad mini. I think so
I agree, though there are many ways in which you can customize the UI to make it take up less screen real estate. You can create pop up palettes for instance, or create a toolbox with your most used stuff (Quick Access). Personally, I like to have some thing open permanently on my iPad Pro, but you can in fact make it almost as minimal as procreate. You just need to push on more buttons to open stuff, which I find slows me down more. I guess it is personal preference. It took me quite some time to find the right setup on the ipad, but now I find it is the most efficient of all art apps for me.
I wonder if you can get it to have the same simple interface as it does on phones. I enjoyed using the sliders on it and it was surprisingly easy to find the tools I needed.
It's depend on how do you customize ui. I have a friend use csp on ipad mini just fine, but I'm not. I have iPad pro 12.9 and base on my workspace, drawing space is a little small and I hope one day Apple release ipad pro 15 or Macbook pro 15 with touchscreen and support pen.
To know if the line follows the pencil with greater speed, you must set the stabilization to 0, those option is in the panel on your left side, if you manage to test it at 0, you would give me your opinion if I change the experience in something, I would appreciate it. very interested in the product.
@@soulextinguisher 3/5 bars on the latency. Even with 0 stabilization, there's still latency. But 5/5 has significantly latency/gap. 3/5 is still something I can work with.
I just wrote the same thing, to make quick sketches, the stabilization must be removed, it is generally used when inking is required. also within preference, in inverted cursor the option should be marked without delay, those options are also because there are people who prefer to make the strokes slower, the program is for all tastes.
Apparently Samsung bought an exclusive (the released it as part of the Samsung S7) -- IDK how long it will last, but I suspect for 6 months, because that's how long you can try it on the S7 for free...
Good Review, if only this was available for all android since i wanna try it. kinda dislike how everyone called it CSP for Android when its actually just CSP for Galaxy.
CSP Tabmate works with both Android and IOS, so get that thing for better flow. It's wonderful on dekstop, so hopefully will match over well on S7 and ipad too!
Im a beginner digital artist and i was looking a new tablet, ipad pro or a samsung s7+.. lots of people use pro for the apple pencil i think cuz all they say is how good and realistic the pencil is. but i think the s pen is better and maybe the pro might be a little better but because of the money difference and and the fact that the s7+ comes with the s pen :) s7+ is a better choice. after i found out all these i was looking for an app and procreate was a tough choice. everyone was talking about it so i research it for a while. its a really great app but its for ios so i was lost again with choosing the right tablet, s7+ or a pro.. i think im gonna go with s7+, ibis paint, clip studio are really great apps and i enjoyed watching the video.. thanks for reading xx
Clip Studio Paint (subscription-based) on Android can draw whatever Procreate can draw. It's just the workflow that's different. If you haven't purchase Samsung Tab S7+. Note that the battery life isn't that good. It's just 7 hours with auto-brightness. If you don't mind a smaller display, Tab S7 have 12-14 hours battery life. Another option is to look at Apple website's refurbished section, and look for the 2020 iPad Pro models which are 15% off their official launch price. For displays 12-inches and larger. It's either 12.9-inch iPad Pro vs Samsung Tab S7+
Can you run the clip studio phone interface on the tab s7(+)? I like the simplicity of it on the phone and it would give more space for drawing. I don't know if it detects the device running it or if the one in samsung shop is different than the pre installed clip studio on the tab s7.
Awesome breakdown! I'm currently thinking of getting a mobile tablet to use when not at home. I currently have an XP-Pen Innovator 16 and I Love it! However I can only use it when it's hooked to my laptop. I know iPad pro's tend to be the best in the market, but I just want something to use Clip Studio Paint on and the Galaxy S7 Fe 5G caught my eye. i know Your vid is on the Tab S7+, but could You tell me if You know what the limit of layers are with this device? (because I tend to use LOTS of layers)
My go-to graphics & design app is _Art Set 4_ on the iPad Pro. It feels incredibly realistic like actual art supplies. P.S. You have to pay $9.99 to experience the full version.
The interface sux and needs better optimization. Using on my tab s7 plus at the moment but won't renew subscription. There are better options out there that are strait out buys and not some stupid sub.

the pc version will always open a first window of news where you can see your latest work or manage them, the account is only to access to download tools or brushes, in that same window in the upper left corner is the green icon of studio clip you can Give it a clip and access the program without having to enter the account, and if you do not want to re-enter you must put the option to remember your password so that it does not ask you again, but as I told you that activation is not for the program but to download brushes . I also have the windows version and I got it at a discount for 35 dollars a long time ago and I have it updated, there will always be a first tab of news and management which you can ignore after giving a clip to the program icon or your recent work that they will load right there.
I thought it was going to be $25 a year for the pro version. Also why do I have to pay more for two devices when I already own it on my pc? Maybe I am misunderstanding.
The company is selling license per device, not per user. That's why if you have a phone, tablet and computer, you need three license. If you draw often with CSP, it's still kinda worth it because it is really a good software.
Clip studio is soooooooooooo much better than the Procreate app... Trust me I use both. Try the Boxxy brush on clip studio. Let me knw if you have any doubts.

I totally agree with you, I'm using it on my S7+ tablet and it'sreallyamazing!
mate i imported my photoshop brushes to csp and love it. Its made for drawing. I am thinking that quitting the photoshop but uncertain
It's just nicer to draw with CSP
thanks for the review teoh! i love clip studio paint, but not the subscription system. i think windows tablet with regular csp looks like a better deal
Fr! I really wanted to buy a Samsung Tab S7+, and I was even more excited to learn it was getting CPS because the android sphere is really lacking in terms of drawing software... but I'd rather buy something once no matter the sum, than sign up for a subscription.
That's what puts me off, plus it looks too complicated. An older version of Sketchbook pro works well for me.
I'm not subscribing 2 this program. There has 2 b a free version out there
there is not yet😅
I think this is the only video available about Clip Studio Paint on Samsung Galaxy S7+. Thank you so much
Thank you very much! I'm going to buy the new Samsung tablet but worried about pen pressure and CSP. This video answer them all!
You are now my favorite artist tech reviewer
Omg csp in a android tablet 🤯
Thank you for your thorough review. It really helps.
Your way of demonstration is awesome
😊☺️👍
Thank you so much, this video is exactly what I was looking for!
Thank you for your video. When I started, I immediately liked your video, because I know your video is very good and useful
If you draw regularly, CSP's pricing is actually quite reasonable.
@@teohyc No it's not. Explain why are subscription services reasonable for CSP when the Desktop version is a one time purchase?
I personally happily pay the $24 a year. I want to keep CSP in business. I love their software! I also own CSP on my laptop as well.
4:40 That is not a bug that is for the palm rejection, you just have to get used to it
He just said that, lol.
"I think that's intentional"
Hurrr durrr
I am try it on Samsung tab 6 lite and to be honest I don't like it , its try to be a pc version on tablet and forget the device is not a pc . I have heavy Machin pc and surface pro 6 using photoshop on both ( digital paint and photograph as hobby) but want a tablet for easy of use and long battery on the go . not need another keyboard and tiny tiny interface that i cant see !!
disappointment .
thank you for your amazing and honest reviews
As always, Great Review! Thank you
great for a 13 inch screen.
This was a great review! Thank you for the information!
Thank you very much. I was looking for a Cilp Studio way, and I saw your video thank you so much.
To know if the line follows the pencil with greater speed, you must set the stabilization to 0, those option is in the panel on your left side, if you manage to test it at 0, you would give me your opinion if I change the experience in something, I would appreciate it. very interested in the product.
There will be some latency but I don't find it to affect my work or accuracy.
@@teohyc how much stabilization did you use in the testing/video?
@@soulextinguisher 3/5 bars on the latency. Even with 0 stabilization, there's still latency. But 5/5 has significantly latency/gap. 3/5 is still something I can work with.
I need help. Whenever i search it up in playstore it just shows some crappy fake drawing apps
Ur prbly using a older tablet that clip studio doesn't support, or use the galaxy store and check.
This has been really helpful 😊
Maybe because you use stabilization, so it make some gap (latency) between the pen and ink?
I just wrote the same thing, to make quick sketches, the stabilization must be removed, it is generally used when inking is required. also within preference, in inverted cursor the option should be marked without delay, those options are also because there are people who prefer to make the strokes slower, the program is for all tastes.
Excellent review, thank you!
Shortcut disabling probably is in place so that you don't accidentally press a shortcut while you are drawing and ruin what you are currently doing.
Isn't it just an s-pen thing? I think it disables touch when it's close to the screen, but I could be wrong.
I really like your style!!
can u tell me How do u draW
Teoh is this your go to app for sketching. I'm trying to find an easy to learn app. Can you suggest a starter win desktop or app.. thanx
Autodesk sketchbook
Super helpful!! Thanks!!
amazing video @Teoh Yi Chie
Nice review! Thanks!
It could be cool app if interface didnt take half screen, this is unnacteptable in my opinion
It's not available on all Android yet though right, just Samsung devices?
yes, it was specially done just for Samsung
Apparently Samsung bought an exclusive (the released it as part of the Samsung S7) -- IDK how long it will last, but I suspect for 6 months, because that's how long you can try it on the S7 for free...
You can probably sideload the apk if you can find it. Just need to be android 9 or above
Can't we use the desktop csp on the s7 with the new sync capabilities?
@@Qster83 I don't think so, your device can be recognized as an unsupported one.
The app looks terrific! The subscription is kind of a bummer but with those features, maybe it'll be worth the money?
The annual plan is US $25. If you draw often, it's definitely worth the money.
Watching this at morning
I like it💘.
Please teach us how to draw in the Krita program if you can, please
It's on google play store search up "krita" and you should see it
I have no experience with art whatsoever, but I did buy the S7+ for other reasons as well. Where/how do I even begin learning to draw digitally?
Download Medibang Paint Pro or Concepts (they have a channel with tutorials), then search UA-cam for tutorials.
@@teohyc thanks! I'll get on it!
1 time payment or no deal 😅
Exactly
.apk 😎😎😎
Buy on pc its often go for sale
You can buy it on pc and use an application to mirror your tablet to mimick a cintiq
Then you need pc duh 😑
Considering I'm purchasing this tablet, does it support Clip Studio Paint EX?
yes
Good Review, if only this was available for all android since i wanna try it. kinda dislike how everyone called it CSP for Android when its actually just CSP for Galaxy.
Wait a little bit. This is a limited exclusivity contract. Some ppl are saying it's just for six months.
@@aslemke7341 i see, only time will tell then.
Too complicated. I'll stick with older version of Sketchbook pro. Plus no subscription.
Try infinite painter
You can get a one time payment for CSP rn for like 20 bucks which would be cool
CSP Tabmate works with both Android and IOS, so get that thing for better flow.
It's wonderful on dekstop, so hopefully will match over well on S7 and ipad too!
I tried it on my Samsung note 8 and could not find the animation timeline anywhere. Also had to go into a menu for the play button. Crazy.
It's perfect for me but a little bit confusing, I wish it was a little simpler
Go with Concepts app then
@@teohyc i will work on many apps and see what's the best for me😄
Im a beginner digital artist and i was looking a new tablet, ipad pro or a samsung s7+.. lots of people use pro for the apple pencil i think cuz all they say is how good and realistic the pencil is. but i think the s pen is better and maybe the pro might be a little better but because of the money difference and and the fact that the s7+ comes with the s pen :) s7+ is a better choice. after i found out all these i was looking for an app and procreate was a tough choice. everyone was talking about it so i research it for a while. its a really great app but its for ios so i was lost again with choosing the right tablet, s7+ or a pro.. i think im gonna go with s7+, ibis paint, clip studio are really great apps and i enjoyed watching the video.. thanks for reading xx
@@teohyc Thank you for the informations, i havent purchased it because im still not sure. But %80 im probably gonna go with ipad pro 11 inch.
Thank you for review, it really helps a lot.
May I know do you use screen protector for the tablet?
Used to use but now I don't. I just use flip case
Can you run the clip studio phone interface on the tab s7(+)? I like the simplicity of it on the phone and it would give more space for drawing.
I don't know if it detects the device running it or if the one in samsung shop is different than the pre installed clip studio on the tab s7.
Not sure about that.
HOW YOU GOT KRITA?? I HAVE IT ON MY LAPTOP BUT TEACH ME HOW ON YOUR TABLETTTT
the icon thingy is because dpi , not the resolution
Nice. Could you do a Krita test too? Thank you
My go-to graphics & design app is _Art Set 4_ on the iPad Pro.
We can run it 1 hour free every day even after the subscription ends and can we do animation on it
That's for the mobile phone version
Oh only for mobile but we can animate right
@@thebrokeartist1272 I don't use the mobile phone version so I can't say
Maybe one of these will work on an android phone. ua-cam.com/video/exQuALRcPSU/v-deo.html
@@teohyc I don't think so. Brad Colbow put it on a Samsung Tab 6 LITE and seemed to indicate the 1 hour free thing was for any Samsung Device. ua-cam.com/video/qW7lcolxte4/v-deo.html
no more one time payment for CSP? that sucks.
Desktop is one time payment. Tablets is monthly subscription.
thank you very helpful
Oh i use ibispaint and krita and I'm going medibang
Thank you for content!!! Спасибо
Should I get the 7+ or iPad Pro. Samsung finally made an amazing tablet so I’m conflicted as can be.
Right now Samsung is more worth the money. US $150 cheaper and the pen is included.
Yeah, but after 3 years u can sell it and get more money for it. The question is, is it better for artists?
Thank U Sir Once Again for the Review, I Bought this Big Sexy Android Tablet on Last August!!! Very Magnificent Display & I always Wait for New Big Android Tablet. I Need Two Pairs!!!! One for Daily Driver & the Second One is for BackUp!!! I Sell My 2018 12.9 iPad Pro because I Love Android Ecosystem than iOS!!!! Yay 🙌🙌🙌
Nice video 👍🏼
I got Paint Studio for my PC I got it on sale actually two days ago half price 25 dollars, but when I opened it, the whole thing is full of ads and I have to sign in every time I use it, if I bought it, I entered the key why do I have to sign in? and why I have to see all those ads, aside from their cutesy stuff, I am not a teenager, I want to load the program, draw and work in peace, it is very annoying, I can't turn those ads off and I can't just go in without signing in. is is like that all the time or is it because I got the online version and on sale??
for pc you should be able to find the exe for the actual program and make a shortcut to load straight to it.
the pc version will always open a first window of news where you can see your latest work or manage them, the account is only to access to download tools or brushes, in that same window in the upper left corner is the green icon of studio clip you can Give it a clip and access the program without having to enter the account, and if you do not want to re-enter you must put the option to remember your password so that it does not ask you again, but as I told you that activation is not for the program but to download brushes .
I also have the windows version and I got it at a discount for 35 dollars a long time ago and I have it updated, there will always be a first tab of news and management which you can ignore after giving a clip to the program icon or your recent work that they will load right there.
So Samsung galaxy tab6 lite is not supported...?
edit: just saw it on the galaxy store!
CSP is limited to just Samsung Galaxy tablets so far.
@@teohyc it won't work on my Samsung tablet and I used galaxy store
Does the the memory differences (6 vs 8 gb) have any noticeable impact, such as on the number of possible layers?
That I am not sure. I don't have the 6gb model to test
@@teohyc thanks for the response. This type of info is surprisingly difficult to find out
Amazing, can u make some 3d modelling design with zbrush 3d with this tablet ?
You can't because Zbrush is not available on Android
You can conect it to the pc and use it on Zbrush, but you will need a third party app to do so.
no, but there is nomadsculpt now, which is quite similar and has a more tabletfriendly UI than CSP
I'm curious though: when clicking the subscription plan of your liking, where does the app redirect you? Paypal or Galaxy Store?
Not sure, I’m still using the trial version. But the usual Google Play Store popup with the price should appear.
Can you make a video for beginners and how to mask or air-brush only on one section please .
Use the Auto Select (W) to select the area, then air-brush within the selection.
do you use a screen protector when drawing on your tab 7+ ? great video btw XD
Used to. But now I’m just using a flip case
how's the using experience on galaxy tab s6 lite?
Unfortunately I no longer have Tab S6 Lite to test
@@teohyc great video, thanks anyway 👍
@@teohyc great video, thanks anyway 👍
I thought it was going to be $25 a year for the pro version.
Also why do I have to pay more for two devices when I already own it on my pc? Maybe I am misunderstanding.
The company is selling license per device, not per user. That's why if you have a phone, tablet and computer, you need three license.
If you draw often with CSP, it's still kinda worth it because it is really a good software.
@@teohyc oh maybe I just need a subscription for one then since I already have one
I really like his accent. There is a funny channel *TricycleTV* with same accent + they are funny. 😄
Which one should I prefer - S7 or Air 4...???
Asumimg money isn't an issue. ¿Should I get the S7 Tab or an iPad?
Legend!
can you do the video tutorial again with the clip studio paint that explain the pens of the application please?
Thanks BRO
Can you review krita on the tab S7?
Clip studio is soooooooooooo much better than the Procreate app... Trust me I use both.
Try the Boxxy brush on clip studio.
Let me knw if you have any doubts.
0:22 May I ask which of those drawing apps is the easiest to use ? The clip studio seems really complicated for me and I'd really like to find an easier one to get started
Maybe Concepts, Infinite Painter, Autodesk Sketchbook, ArtFlow. Concepts is quite easy to use. concepts.app/en/
