    You're the first reviewer to mention pressure levels and how it impacts brush workflow. Since I'm used to Huion 22 plus on my pc with 8k pressure levels I'm afraid I'll be annoyed by the S pen 4k. Would really like you to try XP Pen magic drawing pad (16k pressure levels) since your brush workflow is the most similar to mine I could find for reviewers.

    • @PedroRodrigues-fh1ku

      pressure level is not really what affects that. I also think this is one of the few reviewers that talks about that, it's called IAF (initial activation force), it's what most impacts the feel of the pen when you are drawing, it's the force you need to apply on the screen for it to detect the first level of pressure of the pen (so pressure levels are useless if the IAF is not calibrated well) 4k is more than enough, tablet companies keep adding more and more pressure levels and marketing it as the game changing feature but it's just buzzwords. The IAF is much more important. You can test if a pen has a good IAF by holding the pencil by the top end, place the tip on the screen and let the pen's own weight do the drawing by sliding it over the screen, if it doesn't leave a mark it's not well calibrated and you will have a hard time doing gesture and lighter sketching, and it will also affect tilt since when you tilt the pen you're barely applying any force to it. sorry for the long reply, I hope you find a good tablet for you.

Tab s7 has the 865+ unless ur doing x86 emulation all apps will certainly run with no problem tho I haven't tested stuff like genshin impact or idk im sure they also run maybe not at full ultra settings but one thing is that the tab s7 is 3y unless someone ports oneui 6 u won't get jt 5.1.1 is as far as it goes but also it's full of features just not the new ui no 5g i have a sim and a 256 gb sd card in it woth ram plus so a total of 12 gb of ram i would recommend u go for the 8 unless u don't care about it as oneui is still packed to the brim with features i recently been using dex because my laptop overheas in 36°c and that's also been great all my hope is that someone ports the oneui 6 rom and then its a great tablet

    I'm planning on picking up drawing again even if the last time I draw was 2011 and I'm thinking of the S9. I can barely use Apple products, my sister has an ipad pro gen 4 (maybe) and iphone 13 pro max and iphone pro 14 5G(again maybe, dont really know the models, just matching the prices to guess the type). I could never get into iOS. I've been looking at reviews and it seems like S9 is a good product to work (and relearn drawing) with since I can't exactly drag my PC around.
    Addition : Nothing, I think, about iOS or MacOS is intuitive. That has been my problem with Apple (that and how overpriced it is despite offering pretty much the same functionality and how closed the ecosystem is).

    • @jingmatinong
      @jingmatinong  10 місяців тому +1

      It's the same case for me, colors are more saturated. For example, when I use the S9's camera to take reference photos for painting, I usually just adjust the colors on my Mac or iPad later.

    • @jingmatinong
      @jingmatinong  9 місяців тому +4

      @@eyeghelemebright6938 Display modes are about how "colors are displayed" on screen. Changing the Display modes is not the same as Color Calibration. Color calibration means colors are matched consistently whether in file export or in colored print outputs, which is important in professional work.

    Hello! thank you for the review for this tab but i still have several questions for the performance
    1. While you using CSP, do you feel any lags during drawing? also what is the highest setting for the canvas that you ever used before its getting laggy. (Also I heard Ipad maximum DPI is 300, I wonder if samsung is limiting its DPI as well)
    2. I asked someone who used samsung s9 fe said that he used around 3k canvas with 300 DPI and able to reach 20 layers with no lags (without using any effects). Considering s9 fe and s9 chipset is different and the comparison during gaming is pretty noticeable, I wonder how many layers that you can use before you getting notification that the memory is increasing and how much of a difference between the layers

    • @jingmatinong
      @jingmatinong  3 місяці тому +1

      I typically use 10 layers max while I’m working for better layer management but I think the Tab S9 could handle 20 layers depending on the canvas resolution. The exact resolution at which lag starts can vary based on the complexity of the artwork and the number of layers. You can probably expect smooth performance up to 6000 x 4000 pixels with moderate to high layer counts.

    What color mode for the display is the best for drawing, vivid or natural? I find the natural one being very dull and even with a sort of warm tint to it, so I'd appreciate your opinion on this!

    • @jingmatinong
      @jingmatinong  9 місяців тому +4

      I go for Natural mode over Vivid because Vivid overdoes the colors. Choosing Natural is better in terms of color accuracy in terms of file export. If I export an artwork image using Vivid mode, the image file will look dull compared to the tablet screen's vivid mode especially if it gets printed or viewed on another device.

      I've been using another spen tablet (tab s6 lite) for a few years. I was also worried about tip wearing down at first. It got dirty and not as sharp as it was, still never needed a change. I am heavy handed and I do a lot of detail lineart work. One thing to be careful about: I never used a paper like screen cover, they are harder on the nib. Since the nib is a soft material, I don't need that extra grip from paper like covers. Overall I am so happy with the performance that I am buying the S9+ today.
      Perhaps, if it needed that much changing for some people, their pen might've been faulty from the start?
