Thank you SO MUCH for your inclusive language! I’m an adoptive mom awaiting my first baby so your language at the beginning means a lot to me. It’s hard to feel included when you’re not the mom who births the baby. 💕
Hi I’m a dad with a newborn baby and I absolutely love my little baby, I just honestly get scared holding her because she feels so light and sometimes I overthink scaring myself and watching your child holding your baby on that one part just made me feel so happy and made me realize like even a child can hold a baby and I just gained strength and hope from watching this video and I just want to thank you for doing what you do.
7 months pregnant and first time mom here and when you talked about things being temporary and only getting small window of time for snuggles you definitely got me teary 😂😂😂 oh goodness! Got to LOVE those hormones
I got teary when she said "you were chosen to be this baby's mom." (I am 23 weeks) Oh right, I need to remember to give myself grace as a first time mom. You are going to be learning as baby is learning. Good luck to you and your baby.
Great tips! I am 32 weeks pregnant with my third baby and can agree with all of these. I'm currently in nesting mode and I honestly think that nesting is a way to get everything done so that you can just enjoy your baby when he or she comes 😊
I love that you disclosed how long it took between the start of the recording this video so now you’re holding your eight week old. Set a realistic expectation on what goes behind the scenes
“Value your worth by your productivity” this concept with motherhood, yes. Nailed it. I heard that loud and clear and can resonate with that statement so much. I have a 20 month old and a 7 week old. Sometimes I just want the counter to be cleaned off to feel human.
The first 3 months were hard for me. I was recovering from a difficult birth and a 3 day labor. I recommend a Boppy if you are breastfeeding. Its a life-saver!
Affirmations and mantras are very underrated. Anyone and everyone should use them, and they really help you reframe whatever situation you might be encountering.
As a mom of 2 under 2 I can say that all of this is 100% true!! If you're expecting, look no further than this video for setting you up for success! The second child really does put things into perspective more. I didn't cry when I met my first, but I did with me second because I was so grateful for another chance at the newborn phase since it so fleeting!❤
My first is two weeks old, and I was wondering about this! I felt bad because I didn’t cry, didn’t know what to expect, really. It’s already slipping by so so fast, I’m looking forward to the next one already 😅
She's a sweetie! These are great tips that can be applied in many situations. When you're experiencing chronic pain; broken bones; recovery from surgery; taking care of someone; working through grief; limited mobility, etc.
Such a fantastic video for new mommy's or mommy's on #2 etc. With all social media now there's a lot of focus showing the 'Perfect Mommy and Perfect Children ' and Perfectly decorated/ cleaned and organized homes making some feel unworthy or a failure to their family. I love how you use common sense and reality in your videos. My daughter just had her 2nd child and is in the throws of it with a toddler now so I sent this to her. I subbed to you for your motivation video and to share with my daughter to give her sound advice that's not just coming from 'Mom' but a peer. You're really doing a great job and helping many people 👏
I love that you call it a "brain dump". I coined the phrase "brain vomit" back in the 7th grade when I started writing down any thought that came to my head when I was bored. Now in adulthood it is a very productive way to make those fleeting anxieties about things that need to get done a tangible list that I can prioritize.
Hi Callie, it’s your fellow CT subscriber here! This video was extremely helpful, I’m currently pregnant with my first and I’m an aunt 10x. I practically raised them, but it’s never the same like having your own. As much as I do feel prepared, I’m definitely lowering my standards, and trying educating myself to prevent Postpartum anxiety or depression as much as I possibly can. It would definitely be much appreciated if you have other newborn/postpartum videos that are being planned. Thanks a ton for this one!
If you have an old mobile phone, you can download a white noise app on it too. It's much more slim line/portable and also "grows" with bub. The baby can play with the torch and camera function once they are older. Xx
I love all your tips and tricks. But I am so glad you said to ultimately trust your instincts. When I was pregnant with my son, I read all the books and some of them actually freaked me out so I finally put them down and decided that I would trust my instincts that we all have and I was able to relax and just focus on being the best mom I could. Now he is 13 and turning out to be a great kid. I also loved your tip of keeping a list of items you actually need help with so when people do offer you know what you need help with. Love you channel and babies are adorable
I miss having babies. Yes, time flies!! I can’t believe my babies are grown men (31, 28 and 20). Enjoy every single moment. 💜❤️💚. Don’t worry about your home. Concentrate on you and your baby. 🦋🌸. Things will eventually go back to normal!! 🌺. I wish I had had all this advice with my first. I was so worried about everything that I did not really enjoy being a new Mom. The second one was easier. 🤗
What a beautiful baby. I really don’t need any baby tips but I wanted to watch your video just to see you and your new baby. The one point you made was so true, every moment you have with your baby is temporary so enjoy while you can. I carried my baby’s and snuggled with them every chance I had. There is no such thing as a spoiled baby, only a well loved one. I know you’ll enjoy every moment. You have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing.
I wish I had this info 40 years ago when I had my first child and 13 months after my first child came my second child...Such valuable information, advice, and wisdom from someone so young!🥰
My grandson is almost 5. I helped my daughter and she is an excellent mom. During the first 4 weeks her sister asked her how she was it was 10 pm and she just finally got to eat a sandwiches and started crying saying " it's so hard". You are very smart and funny. Happy Easter.
I love brain dumps! I have so many ideas and to-dos in my head, I do a brain dump just so I don’t worry about forgetting anything! It’s nice to look back at all I’ve done and crossed out and what things I have in my head that really don’t need to be done and I can just throw them out. Another great video!
Make me cry why don't you! 🤣🤣 no, this was a beautiful and encouraging video. My son will be 3 in 2 weeks and I would have benefited from this video so much. Your children are beautiful😍 God bless you all.
Labor and post-partum doulas are a wonderful resource for new moms. They often are trained on breastfeeding too so they can assist in that journey. But lactation consultants are available too. And if breastfeeding isn't part of the journey, that's ok too. Thankfully we have so many options now for all kinds of mothers. I loved my wraps (Maya wrap for me!) for baby wearing & the backpack too once they're older. And Boppy pillows. Also the slanted breastfeeding stool is great for nursing also. Loved that.
Baby Finley at 10:00...absolutely heart melting. I'm a grandma now, but wish I had seen this video all those years ago! So much information and help; so well rounded...fantastic job!
This is great advice if you only have one child at a time. I definitely couldn’t baby wear when I had my twins. They just did not let me. I wore my first son and it helped so much on getting things done. Congratulations on Finley, she is adorable!
Congratulations and thank you so much for this video. I’ve shared it with my son and daughter in law. They are new parents as of 2 days ago. It is a very emotional and overwhelming time. Thank you!
I don’t even have a newborn. I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old but was having a severely over whelming day, and all of this information was helpful!
Really wish I had someone tell me any of this before either of my littles but I am happy to pass this along to my expecting friends! I wholeheartedly agree with every word!
This is such a reassuring video. I wish I had had something like this when my kids were babies. It would have helped me feel less alone and reassured. Great work!
Everything you say is soooo true. I’m a first time mon with a 9 week old. Go JANUARY babies! Lol. I totally related to the bit about anxiety of sitting while baby is napping on you. Always have to tell myself to take a breath and remember to enjoy the moment because too soon she’ll be bigger and not want to snuggle as much.
Congratulations! My son will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. This is my second and I totally agree with all your tips. I plan to get your printable, they look super helpful. Thank you!
My three mantras, which have been with since before my children were born, so more than 30 years: I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. That which does not kill me, strengthens me. This, too, shall pass. As a mother of grown children, my unsolicited advice to all new mothers, and mothers at any stage, would be this: read to your children. At the very least read a bedtime story, but try to incorporate reading throughout the day. Start with board books, just pointing out and naming images or telling the story if there is one. Choose good books, which generally means older books, as in published more than twenty years ago. Not all books are good so be choosy. Steer away from trendy themes and choose books which help instill the values you hold and want your children to hold. Think about the books that shaped you and your views. Books shape minds so choose good books for yourself and for your children ::descends soap box:: Finley is beautiful, Kallie. I love her name - and all that hair! ~ Lisa
Such a perfect timing! I have a 2 year old and in few weeks second baby is coming. I can already relate to what your saying. Very helpful video for having some REAL expectations of what it is going to be! Thank you
I think I need to pressure myself less. My baby is 8 weeks and I think sometimes I pressure myself too much with making sure everything is nice and clean. Sometimes all I want to do is sit on the couch and relax, but I don’t because I want everything clean.
Yes to making the goals! I'm not great at writing them down, but I always had one small goal in my mind for "if she gives me a minute". Even having 5+ goals for the day stressed me out (it was a rough transition here!), so just giving myself that 1 goal was so motivational because 9.5/10 times, I'd get that AND some done!
Thank you so much for this inspiring, motivating and positive attitude creating video. Wish I had watched it sooner though. My daughter was born on January 9th 2021 and I was really shocked and overwhelmed the first three months! I will keep this video in mind if we are lucky to having another baby in a few years. Did you make any content regarding the birth of your children? Lots of love from Germany :)
She's so cute. Soak up that newborn ness. I'm so jealous. Can't believe my son is 2 already 😭. I feel like.. other than sleep.. newborn stage was easier than having a toddler lol. Bless your heart, you're dealing with both. You're amazing! My kiddos are 14 years apart 😂
“You were chosen to be this baby’s mom” love that so much!
Thank you SO MUCH for your inclusive language! I’m an adoptive mom awaiting my first baby so your language at the beginning means a lot to me. It’s hard to feel included when you’re not the mom who births the baby. 💕
This was really nice to hear.
So excited for you! You are definitely included and your experience will be beautiful and valid!
💚💚💚

Something that helped me is living a super minimal lifestyle BEFORE baby arrived, so caring and managing our stuff was so so much less overwhelming
I need to do that for baby #2. I've already cleaned out so much and still have so much more. 🥺
Great tips! I am 32 weeks pregnant with my third baby and can agree with all of these. I'm currently in nesting mode and I honestly think that nesting is a way to get everything done so that you can just enjoy your baby when he or she comes 😊

Congrats. she is beautiful baby!!! I will be sending this to my niece....she had her 1st baby this morning!
Congratulations to your niece.
Congratulations
Congratulations to her. 💐🥳
Congratulations!
Congratulations to your niece!
These tips are also extremely valuable for moms with PPD. The newborn phase can be really rough when you are dealing with it.
💚💚💚
Also completely ok to do absolutely nothing during that free time! 😊
Yes! It is great to get things done, but sitting and relaxing is good too.
Yes!! 👏👏👏
Like napping!!
New baby time is just... Wonderful/a clusterF. I love that you say "lower your standards." It really is the only way to keep your sanity.
The first 3 months were hard for me. I was recovering from a difficult birth and a 3 day labor. I recommend a Boppy if you are breastfeeding. Its a life-saver!
As a mom of two, this is all great advice! I am done having kids, but I watched anyway to see the littles mainly. They are so cute!!!
Affirmations and mantras are very underrated. Anyone and everyone should use them, and they really help you reframe whatever situation you might be encountering.
I am just about to turn 36 weeks and a first time mom, this video is so helpful and for this overachiever, I needed to hear this advice.
Calm down cobwebs, dust bunnies go to sleep, I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep. 😊
As a mom of 2 under 2 I can say that all of this is 100% true!! If you're expecting, look no further than this video for setting you up for success! THANK YOU KALLIE. I’m 40 weeks and 5 days with my second (my older son was born just slightly before Miles) so this is an actual God-send. 🤍🤍
She's a sweetie! These are great tips that can be applied in many situations. When you're experiencing chronic pain; broken bones; recovery from surgery; taking care of someone; working through grief; limited mobility, etc.

Daily mopping? 😳 I didn't do that when I didn't have any kids. I wish I saw this video before having my first child, totally agree with everything! 👏

I have 5 kids and think these are spot on. You are a very intelligent woman. Congratulations!! She is beautiful!
I wish I had this info 40 years ago when I had my first child and 13 months after my first child came my second child...Such valuable information, advice, and wisdom from someone so young!🥰
Thank you💕 I'm on week 2 and I'm exhausted and I cry for no reason
Awesome! Wish this video was around when my children were that age! Good job 👏 👍 👌
My kids are 4 & 2.5 and they still use white noise machines during nap and bedtime. I love it!

Newly pregnant with baby number two and cried through most of this video. 🤦🏻♀️ Lol. Hormoooones! Great tips. Thanks for all of your content!
Thank you so much for this video! FTM currently with a 6 week old. Some days are great, others aren’t so great. This video is super helpful! ❤️
This is incredibly helpful for me as I care for my dear husband who is nearly as dependent on me as a newborn. Thank you!!
Praying for you!
Thank you so much! Prayers keep me going
There are so many gems in here! Wonderful words to remember. I don’t have babies anymore but these tips still apply. Especially the temporary mindset.
Love her hair! Reminds me of my girlie at that age. So much hair!!! Now she's 21! Time does fly!
She is abeautiful baby. My daughter had a lot of hair as a newborn too, and 25 years flew by way too fast!
I love brain dumps! I have so many ideas and to-dos in my head, I do a brain dump just so I don’t worry about forgetting anything! It’s nice to look back at all I’ve done and crossed out and what things I have in my head that really don’t need to be done and I can just throw them out. Another great video!
FTM just waiting for our baby girl to arrive! I love your mom content so much! Thank you!!
Oh I loved this video! Will be giving birth to my first child in 3 months, im thankful for you tubers like this!
Great tips. I had my 6th baby a few weeks ago. I’d add that the more kids you have, the easier it gets.
I love the last tip:
"You were chosen to be this baby's mom." 🥰
I'm due with baby#2 any day now and this was great little refresher and positive encouragment. Congrats on your baby! Cheers :)
Make me cry why don't you! 🤣🤣 no, this was a beautiful and encouraging video. My son will be 3 in 2 weeks and I would have benefited from this video so much. Your children are beautiful😍 God bless you all.
That was wonderful. You are glowing and that made my morning. Motherhood and babyhood are so special. Enjoy!
You are filled with so much class and grace!
Some of these tips work toddlers. Yesterday my four year old son wouldn't leave me alone. Every time it would take me 20 minutes to do something.
Definitely. Newborn stage was way easier to get stuff done than with toddlers lol. My son is a menace. I only do major chores when he's asleep
Been rough with teething baby on top of complications from c-section...my phone is silent. Wish I had support.
Labor and post-partum doulas are a wonderful resource for new moms. They often are trained on breastfeeding too so they can assist in that journey. But lactation consultants are available too. Baby Finley at 10:00...absolutely heart melting. I'm a grandma now, but wish I had seen this video all those years ago! So much information and help; so well rounded...fantastic job!
I will be a third time mom and already add a couple of these items to my wish list.
This is great advice if you only have one child at a time. I definitely couldn’t baby wear when I had my twins. They just did not let me. I wore my first son and it helped so much on getting things done. Congratulations on Finley, she is adorable!
Mazel Tov/Congratulations! She's lovely. Having been there..these are absolutely wise words.
I really needed to watch this video! THANK YOU!
I have a 17yo and a 10 week old. So thank you so much for this! ❤ I needed this.
I miss having babies to hold. Congratulations she’s so beautiful!
Agree with all of these
The saying in my group "lower your standards and then lower them again"
Congratulations and thank you so much for this video. I’ve shared it with my son and daughter in law. They are new parents as of 2 days ago. It is a very emotional and overwhelming time. Thank you!

she is staring hardcore like "who are you talking to mom geez i am down here". lol
This is awesome! I shared it with my daughter for her first baby due on 5/15, thanks for sharing!
Congratulations! My son will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. This is my second and I totally agree with all your tips. I plan to get your printable, they look super helpful. Thank you!
Congratulations!!! As a mom of 7 I totally agree with your points!. I shared this video with my pregnant daughter :)

Finley is beautiful, Kallie. I love her name - and all that hair! ~ Lisa
Very good video. Thanks for saying so! 👍🏻
We are naming our daughter Finley when she arrives in a couple of months 💗 So unique and cute!
Such a perfect timing! I have a 2 year old and in few weeks second baby is coming. I can already relate to what your saying. Very helpful video for having some REAL expectations of what it is going to be! Thank you
These are such great and helpful tips. I wish this was around when I had my second one.
I think I need to pressure myself less. My baby is 8 weeks and I think sometimes I pressure myself too much with making sure everything is nice and clean. Sometimes all I want to do is sit on the couch and relax, but I don’t because I want everything clean.

She is precious! ❤️

I have a three week old baby, perfect timing! Loved this video! Your channel is great ❤️
My babies are 3 and 4.5 and I MISS the baby days. That first year is my favorite. 😭
She is gorgeous, just like her Mama! Great advice. Thank you for sharing.
This is such amazing insight and advice!!! Finley is absolutely perfect, so happy for you 💕 lots of love and good vibes from Puerto Rico!
I'm really gonna look to your tips and tricks when baby arrives in July. I'm a perfectionist and I know I have to lower my expectations way down.
I needed to hear this 😩 thank you and congratulations on your precious baby
GREAT video. Thank you! Congratulations with your new beautiful bundle of joy! 🥰❤
This video was brilliant. Great advice. I'm pregnant with baby #3 and it was a great reminder. ♡
30 weeks now with #2. Needed this. 🤘
She is so precious!! I just love that head of hair!! 💗💗
I'm 17 weeks pregnant with my first. Thank you!
Very enjoyable video. I don’t have kids but the ideas are just as relevant to the changes happening to me right now. Good job on this video. 🌺🌸
32 weeks pregnant with my first baby right now. Hopefully these tips help! I also weigh my worth by my productivity and like... ahhhh
She's so cute. Soak up that newborn ness. I'm so jealous. Can't believe my son is 2 already 😭. I feel like.. other than sleep.. newborn stage was easier than having a toddler lol. Bless your heart, you're dealing with both. You're amazing! My kiddos are 14 years apart 😂
This was so good. Thank you Kallie and congrats on baby girl xx
