When I was pregnant with my first baby all my coworkers were telling me how hard it’s going to be, how little sleep, get all the blackout curtains and white noise etc. and I would essentially just smile and nod, knowing full well I wasn’t concerned in the slightest and planned to have her sleep in the daylight/regular noise and cosleep at night. now with my daughter she’s so chill and will sleep anywhere too and i almost feel like I’m keeping this big secret 😅
I'm 61 and have raised 3 amazing children. My #1 tip would be to throw all the baby books out the window, stay away from fads on social media, and just follow your instincts. If you do need advice, go to older women whom you trust. Take a deep breath, relax, trust your baby to tell you what it needs, and let yourself enjoy the little minutes. When you're focused on worry you don't experience the joy. These precious days will fly by. Be in the moment. ❤
You are incredible! I raised 4 children and didn't have any of the gizmos and gadgets they have on the market. You are right, there were none of them even 40 years ago. They're all a waste. I totally agree with you on your tips, Our kids ate, slept and played everywhere. I know people that have to leave for nap time, lunch or whatever. Mine just fell asleep where we were. That diaper genie is so gross, I agree My daughter used it and the smell was awful! I nursed all 4 of mine as well for a year, my last one still nursed at night until 18 months. You're right it's a season and one that goes by in a flash. Enjoy the sweetness and savor that special season. Your sweet baby girl is so precious and so very blessed to have you for her Mama. ❤
The one thing I did to help me stay on track when I had my babies was to do just 1 big thing every day. On Monday wash all area rugs, on Tuesday mop all floors, on Wednesday change and wash all bedding, on Thursday dust whole house, on Friday, clean toilets, tubs and sinks, on Saturday vacuum entire house, on Sunday do all remaining laundry...this is just a sample of how I managed with my babies to not overwhelm myself. I would actually have my weekly chores on a board that hung in the pantry. This way the house was always clean and I was not overwhelmed with trying to do everything needed in one day, and believe it or not, I still do this today 53 years later, because it worked for me....
4th time mom, due mid November. Advice for all mom's. This is a season! Not forever, live in the moment. Take a shower, everyday! Even if it's 2 minutes, brush your teeth..make a cup of coffee 🥰 All is well!!
This is such good advice. I saw someone say this on another video I watched and I’ve been doing it and it really works. Come evening time I’m already too tired to cook so it’s nice to have something prepped from early.
I'm a first time mom and due Feb 22! Let me tell you, even though I'm a nurse, I feel like I know NOTHING about babies. So thankful for women like you who bring the real facts to motherhood and make me not worry as much about it. Nothing will be perfect, so why worry? ❤
I'm an ultrasound tech and due the same day with our first! Same- I feel like I know a lot about pregnancy itself but absolutely nothing about what to do when baby is in the outside world!
Mom of 2. 10 & 5 year old boys. My biggest advice is be able to say NO to others. If it doesn’t work for your routine & your baby/family, just say no. Don’t stress yourself out trying to meet others expectations. Motherhood is a major change and added unnecessary stress just makes it harder ❤
My advice is get educated on postpartum depression!!! It can be a huge issue for many moms, Do not feel shameful about it. Getting help asap is a game changer! I have 3 Grown sons now but baby 1 and 2, I got so depressed and knew nothing about postpartum depression. I ended up a very sick lady mentally. thankfully my doctor with baby 2 knew exactly what I needed.
Mom of four, Grandma of 11, Great Grandma of 1. The advice that babies have been coming and cared for forever is spot on. All the crazy rules of parenting do not work for everyone.Use common sense and spend the time to love and get to know your baby. What works for your family is the right thing to do. I brought my baby into bed with me and nursed while I was dosing off too,, that much needed rest was so important. Bless your little one. By the way my last little boy was a chunk too,,,only being breastfed. The doctors claimed he was underwieght according to the charts and wanted me to supplement with Formula!!! He was so big we called him the Budda Baby. He is now 6ft 5. And no I did not follow their recomendation. Mamma knows best.
About to have our 4th here in about 2 months (Nov. 26) and I agree with all of these! I'll add babies love a change of scenery when upset, so I always took them outside if they were fussy and wouldn't chill and it always helped! A walk or sitting in a swing or just walking around.
Mom of 4 & I so wished someone had told me some of these things! I would always get up, go in another room to nurse & always change their diapers after nursing! I was up so many hours & hardly got any sleep! They all turned out wonderful, but your advice is worth so much! You're a wonderful wife & mother! I just love your down to earth/real/raw videos!❤
I wish I would have had someone like you to teach me newborn hacks when I had my son 44 years ago. I know you are helping a lot of people. God Bless you.😊
I have a funny nursing story with my first baby: I was exhausted. She was maybe 3 weeks old and I was still in that stage of trying to figure everything out. I was in her room in the rocking chair, it was December, so the room was pretty chilly. She was bundled up pretty good, just like a burrito, and as I was nursing her, I fell asleep and she rolled out of my arms, down my legs onto the very thick carpeted floor. She never even woke up LOL. (We laugh about this now because she sleeps through anything!) I obviously had to figure out something better that would work for both her and I. I wish I could remember where I found it online but it was a bassinet that the side dropped down. So I pulled it up to my bed and at night when she would wake up, I would drop the side, pull her towards me, nurse her and basically just push her right back in. It was wonderful and it worked for all three of children. We also never kept the house quiet or dark for naps or sleep time. My now adult babies can sleep anywhere, at any time! I agree with you a 1001% that moms have been doing all of this since day one and figuring things out as they go along. You're a sweet and beautiful person and you're doing an amazing job raising your daughters, being a loving and funny wife to your husband, keeping a gorgeous home, all while finding time to vlog. Hopefully there's not too many haters in your comments, but for those of us that adore you - what they have to say doesn't matter anyway.🩷 God bless and thanks for sharing with all of us🦋😊
Which bassinet did you use??? I'm looking for one to nurse in / push baby right back in, but all that I find online have a drop or don't fold all the way down
Thank you for your honesty … your fourth advice is greater than you realize…I remember when I had my first baby, 40 years ago, I was only 20, did not feel that instant connection…I felt very guilty about it for many years…I had two babies after that and the experience was totally different…thank you for letting young new mothers that this is totally normal and only temporary…saludos from Miami ❤😊
I’m due October 23rd. Thanks for the video. My own mother and elder sis do not care for my first pregnancy/child and have no advice but thanks to UA-cam I can still learn from experienced moms
Who's not a mama here and watching just because it is Kristen? 🙃 Girl, I love your sense of humor and the fact that you do you 🦸♀ God bless all your family 🙏❤
Due Feb 12th my first baby, baby boy. Thank you for the tips. I feel like I know nothing. I’m pretty scared of giving birth but I know it will be worth it to see my baby boy. Excited to meet him and raise him.
Congrats Stephanie!! My daughter is due her first baby, also a boy on the 20th Feb. I am scared as I have forgotten what to do with a baby 😳🤣 Watching these videos to refresh my brain!!
Three week new mom here. I was so scared too, like lifelong biggest fear. Can't explain how scared I was on top of having a miscarriage, so I knew what contractions felt like (the bringer of death and sadness). I DEFINITELY recommend a Midwife or at least a Doula who will support you with new baby. My sister told me over and over, you're already strapped in, you can't get off the roller coaster. Just ride it. The birth part is less than a week of super suck (mine was 3 days). Probably just one day of it. It can be hell, but it's a SACRIFICE to bring in new life. Lean in. Move toward the fire, be burned and be reborn. Listen to Ina May, Brigit Teylor, Chrissy Horton, Standing So Tall (LA Leche League), Hypno birthing, Bradley Method. Blessings! Be brave and humble. You CAN DO IT.
I love listen to your chilled aproach to motherhood🥰Breastfeeding my first baby was a struggle the first 6 weeks. A lot of crying and the feeling of failure. Sore nipples, and and the baby was long and skinny. A relief for us both when the 6 weeks check-up with the lokal nurse came, and she insisted that I should give him formula afer he had eaten what I had. O happy day!! He ate, burped, and slept for 8 hours straight. This helped us both. ❤today he is a 26 year old healthy young man. No allergies or intolerances🎉 Strangely…His brother, who was 100% breast fed has a lot of allergies… 😅 And btw. You should probalby have mentioned that the colostrum you take comes from animals, not humans😅😅
Very well-done Kristen. Your information and suggestions are spot on. The one thing I did with both of my sons, was when they took an afternoon nap so did I. I know there is always a lot to do but getting the proper rest helps you accomplish what you need.
I came across your page for the first time a few months ago as I was starting to prepare being a first time mom! Love all your content, but it was the baby essentials and how minimal you keep things that drew me in. I feel like I relate to you on many things too, including faith! I am 29 weeks now with my baby boy - due November 28th!! :)
I breastfed both of my babies. Neither of them ever took a bottle or a pacifier. I never pumped or saved milk. The first two weeks were a little rough with the first one. I was engorged so bad the baby had trouble latching. I cried a lot, lol, and was so afraid it wasn’t going to get better, but we made it through and it quickly became the easiest most natural thing. When the second one came along it was like my body and myself knew what to do and it was just second nature. My boys are, now, 27 and 31 😊
Oh girl I fed my daughter (she will be 15 on sept 29th) on the side so I could sleep a little more since I went back to work full time at 6 weeks. It worked and I’m pretty confident we’ve all done it. I loved it to be honest. ❤
Hi Kristen, I totally agree with the schedule suggestion. My eldest daughter is 24 and my 2nd is 16 and with both of them I established a schedule that would work for me when I returned back to work after my maternity leave. My second mom hack if you need to bottle feed and leave the house, I had a small 500ml thermos and would fill it with fresh boiling water and also had bottled water and my little containers with already measured milk powder. When the time came to make the bottle I would add equal amounts of hot and cold water and milk powder to the bottle and would then have a bottle ready for use, freshly made at the correct temperature, saving a lot of worrying about keeping bottles warm or from the milk becoming sour. ☺️👍
I’m having my second in December. I didn’t have the greatest postpartum experience with me son but the good times I did was amazing. This time around I’m decided not to sweat about everything and just go along with what baby wants. Also when baby is napping be loud so they will sleep through everything my son definitely sleeps through everything
The tip I have used with every baby, that I *latched* onto right away... Given to me from a veteran Mom before my 1st baby... At NIGHT turn ALL the lights down LOW 💜 This drove my husband's Gma crazy when we've visited with newborn's, but it works!! For sleeping
Kristen, I raised 3 kids and I cannot even tell you how I did it! I went to college to become a teacher when I was 37 (took 6.5 years) and started when one was 3! They were 4 years (about) apart. I did all of the mom things throughout-still don’t know how! (I graduated from college the same year our oldest son graduated from high school). We had graduation pictures taken together! Then, I got a teaching position and didn’t miss a beat with all of the mom things I needed to continue to do. You are a star in this grandmother’s eyes-with 4 kiddos! I did so many things wrong, yet they are all successful, Jesus-loving kids, and are raising my 8 perfect grandchildren to my satisfaction (mostly😉). Cindi (from WV). 😊
In week three with my with my newborn baby. I watched your essentials video and it helped me so much, I really resonate with your minimalist approach. So now this video comes at a perfect time. Last night as a breastfeeding mom was a rough one, I will for sure try some of the things you mentioned and see how it goes.
I think your honesty of your experience is so important for new moms. I didn’t like breastfeeding because I wasn’t comfortable with it and sometimes, if not most times, it was really painful. Back in my day, the nurses told you to change breasts every 10 - 15 minutes (not sure of times - been a long time ago) so this was news to me about just breastfeeding on one side. However, glad to hear you are pumping on the other side because as you stated, you are definitely leaking on the other side and need relief. I was much more comfortable breastfeeding with my second child. And guess what, when I breastfed, I lost the pregnancy weight really fast. I never knew that there was a purpose for the shoulder openings - good info! Great tips on diapering babies. You had some great tips - glad you shared.
I used a baby blanket like the one from the hospital all cotton fold it in half and put in bed or basinet that way little vomit won’t mess the sheet. Also we had a lot of people going in out and our baby got use to the noise. Sleep right through it. Y’all look adorable. Take care from Florida
I'm due in 4.5 weeks with my second! My first was exclusively formula fed from the start, this one I am going to try to exclusively pump for. My husband and I talked about it and just decided to try since it's in the fall and winter. My goal is just to make it at least 3 or 4 months and be able to have some for the freezer. Small goals and baby steps.
I exclusively pumped with my first and had enough milk saved up to feed her for 9 More months plus and donated some too!!! So hopefully it goes well for you! I’m due with my second in two months. Currently resting because I over did it today lol. Good luck with your milk journey.
@sarah29880 yes that's the goal!!! My sister produces soooo much and will fill a freezer with milk. So i am hoping that I can get some stock piled to continue to give him for a few months after I am done!
@@morggylynn oh cool. Yeah it’s a pain in the ass to store, take the time, and freeze away but a year later it’s the easiest source of nutrition to just grab because we had three deep freezers full! I also stopped producing with the second pregnancy after 9 Months. It’s genetic to overproduce from what they told you so I hope you are a “milk goddess” as well :))
This was an amazing video !!! I have a four week old and I'm so taking some of these with me on my parent journey. Also fun fact- I have a friend who works in child development and is a child psychiatrist and talked with her about co-sleeping and babies up to about 6-7 months won't have long term effects from co-sleeping. Our little man would be passed out in our arms or after a feed and as soon as we would put him down in his bassinet he would wake up screaming. We tried swaddling in 4 different ones, different ways of feeding, went for a lactation consult twice nothing was working unless he was with us in bed. so we talked to our doc then our friend and as long as your taking the necessary steps for safety co-sleeping is fine if it's right for your family. we are starting to "ween" him off of this now and its working really well :) So don't feel bad or like your doing something wrong mama's your not!!! remember what may work for your fam jam may not for someone else's and thats okay too :)
I'm 65 and a mom of two, grandma of 4 soon to be 5 (Lord willing in December.) I enjoy watching these videos with the idea that I might find some things that might be helpful for my daughter who is expecting baby #5. Lily is so adorable, love those chubby little cheeks! Three out of four of my grandbabies were over 9 lbs when they were born. My daughter also keeps her babies in a little bassinet right by her bed, so much easier.
Hi there Kristen 🤗 well I’m a 70 yr old mama & a Oma (grandma 😂) & my go to saying when things come up “IS IT LIFE THREATENING? Hopefully not so u can carry on 😂 another one is fr one of my fave singers Tom Petty “Most things I worry about never happen anyway” & just living, raising 4 babies I feel pretty wise. 😜 I was 19 when I had my son & not having a dad or brother I was so scared of him only thing I knew is when I changed his diaper to cover him up 😂 but n time we bonded & everything worked out. Just try to allow yourself time not to rush & it will wk out ❤️
WOWOWOW!!! Awesome tips for new and not so new Mom! Great tips and consideration for those nursing. Nursing is so nutritious. Continued grace, favor and Blessings!
Yes! Go momma! I’m 55, mother of 5, and grandmother to 12 now. Armra Blood Orange is a must daily for me! Heals the gut, improves microbiome diversity, immune support, balances the feminine energy, and so much more! 😘👍🏼
Hi Kristen, these are all great tips! I agree with getting them on your schedule. The kids will adapt for sure. We always had a time for bed, and it was adhered to religiously. My daughter is 40 now, and she laughs about to this day! Great video!
Aww I hope everything goes smoothly for you and your little one arrives in good time. My baby boy is due on December 24th 🥲 I’m also hoping he comes a little earlier so we can have him here with us to celebrate Xmas (mind you, his dad is the real Xmas baby born on 25th December 😅)
All great advice! I’ve learned a few things myself over the years. Also due with another at the end of October. Don’t sweat all of the milestones. Your kiddo will learn to go on the potty and won’t be 25 using diapers anymore. Your child doesn’t have to be a reading prodigy at 4, if they read at 7, awesome. You don’t have to buy much to entertain your kids…in fact, don’t. Let others spoil them with gifts on bdays, holidays and save that money on good nutrition because that truly will help them out later in life and sometimes will help tame some of those behavioral issues. THRIFT everything you can!
Just found your channel, and I’m about to have my fourth! This one is an IUD baby and it’s hard to find moms on UA-cam with four that I like! Glad I found your channel!
I'm a first time veteran mom. I'm 8 weeks pregnant. My due date is April 28. My advice to you is if your mental health is bad ask your doctor about getting back on your same prescription you were on before IF it is safe for the baby. It gets really tricky because you need your mental health but it's also good to get off particular medication before the baby is born to prevent withdrawal.
Baby Lily is getting so big and she's so beautiful, just like her mommy❤ And I love your dress! I'm A mom of 2 now adult children & a grandma of 7, two of which I'm now raising..a 3yr old & a 5yr old. Best tip i can give, and someone else gave the same tip and you also mentioned it before you had sweet Lily... all the "stuff" or "things" really are NOT necessary! Alot of those things are just a way of money.. sure you may use them for a bit but they grow out of everything so quickly! The one thing that's available now days that wasn't available when mine were babies is the little bedside bassinets with the see thru netting & zipper sides so you can see baby & just unzip & slide them right out without even setting up. Its not "necessary" but its a great convenience & last until they start sitting up. My son & his wife had one & i really liked it alot! But most of the things are just that.. things! Things they'll outgrow in no time! My DIL is a NICU nurse, she knew more about babies than i did😄 But she started pumping & freezing her colostrum before the baby was ever born, once she knew it was in. I'm not sure how far along she was, sorry! It was just A a few ounces at a time, but she gave the baby one bag every day, besides her milk. She said it was just like A vitamin so to speak. I didn't breast feed my oldest, but i did with my youngest. And I did the same thing, i did half one side & half the other, but i wasn't educated on why you should use one side 🤷♀️ My Son, my youngest, was tongue tied, & so was his daughter. We had his clipped at 7mths, he had his daughters done in the first couple months. My son had A severe case of acid reflux and stayed pretty sick until he was well over 2yrs old & didn't sleep a night until then. He didn't burp or spit up.. he would throw up, like literally lose his entire bottle! He threw up in his sleep several times & asphyxiated once and ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. His dad worked nights so yes i sure did put him in my bed, slept on my side & if he even breathed loud my eyes popped open😄 He Slept with me til he got better at 2.5 and that's the only way i could get any sleep & felt safe with him! Honey I jet my babies sleep when try wanted to sleep & wake on their own, except for nights then they had a bedtime. I didn't do scheduled feedings with either, they are when they got hungry. All babies are different & some require more it less than others. My Oldest weighed 10lbs, she required more.. 2oz was nothing but a sip for her😄 She started out with 4oz & quickly went to 6oz. I always used the diaper for the first wipe, and still do with my granddaughter! Yes girl..a diaper genie is the most stinky thing ever🤮 Nothing better than a couple of Walmart or grocery store bags to tie up your poopie diapers😁and put them in the trash! We take the trash out everyday anyways 🤷♀️ Thanks for the car seat hack! When my son & his wife decide to have another one I'll def tell them this one! My babies were always on my schedule, they turned out just fine😊 When I brought my babies home, we had the white wicker bassinets back then and i would keep it in the living room with the TV on so that they learned to sleep thru noise. I don't get it when a parent wants it to be quiet enough to hear a pin drop 🤷♀️ You had great tips, hacks & suggestions! Even though I'm older & won't be having more babies, I'm sure there's many that appreciate all the education they can get😊 Hope you have a blessed week!
I thought of a tip, not necessarily newborns exclusively... Car seat protectors. Specifically to protect the seat of your car!! I know, all the car seat nerds gonna be bashing, I get it. I have a real aversion to tightening down as far as it needs without something in between. We were gifted a carseat protector from Target with our first, but honestly, it wasn't optimal. I started using yoga mats. Cut those athletic mats to the size of your seat & it's a great non slip, & added protector for your leather or cloth seats! ❤
Breastfeed!!! Always ready, always perfect temperature, perfect nutritional value for baby. No need to wash bottles and formula makers… cost efficient ❤️❤️❤️
@@DynAmisch69 While it can at times be painful, it is absolutely NOT disgusting. Women and female animals have breasts to nourish their young. If you do not breast feed it is your choice, but please don't label something natural and best for the child, as disgusting.
@@maryoleary2037 it’s my opinion. I found it to be very disgusting. The slurping and grunting sounds, throwing up the milk, spitting, the constant drooling. I had to put my headphones in to distract myself from these nauseating sounds. After every feed I wanted to take a shower to clean myself off of this wet milk and saliva mess 🤢 I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it.
Kristen, Great video. All my children are grown now. I pretty much did everything you’re doing with your baby. The only thing I did different is that I used clothe diapers. My first two children I washed their diapers but my last two which are twins, I had a diaper service and that was a big help. Kristen God bless you and your beautiful family.
You look so good! When I had my babies I was a mess all day everyday lol but I’m pregnant with my third and it feels almost like it’s my first because my first two are 8 and 7. So it’s been a long time 😂
I enjoyed these! It’s always interesting how some mamas’ must-haves are another one’s doesn’t-needs ☺️ One tip I’ve never heard that I always wished I had gotten a handle on BEFORE kids was to be so careful about the things you choose to bring in for your child. “Stuff” adds up SO QUICKLY and the more kids you have, the more stuff keeps getting added into your home. I’ve since learned to be a better gatekeeper about the stuff we actually want to maintain in our house, but I sure wish I had started even before I had kids! 🤪🤍
Have a tip for When changing Diapers something that helped me out with both of my kids and I'll be doing with my third when she arrives is getting Bedpads and putting them on the changing table so that way If your baby has an accident Outside of the diaper it catches the mess and you can just toss It
Lily is so precious! Awesome info! Many of these things I figured out when I had littles, and excited for a few gems you mentioned I can tell my daughters! One suggestion, use coconut oil. Petroleum jelly, especially in the US can have chemicals in it if not properly refined. And coconut oil is antibacterial and nourishes the skin. Can even be used on their bums. ❤
Vaseline® Jelly is guaranteed to be triple-filtered, ensuring it is truly free from impurities and safe to use. This means that it can be used to protect and repair the skin. The ointment does not need to have antibiotics in it. Some antibiotic ointments can cause an allergic reaction. Moms love Vaseline for preventing diaper rash and it can also be used to protect minor cuts and burns, to soften skin, and to lock in moisture in dry, cracked skin. Stated by a dermatologist.
Just had my second baby last Friday! -Get on an antidepressant early if you feel like you need it. -You have the option to dry up your breastmilk and just give your baby formula if you want to. That’s what I did with my second and it was so much less stressful. -Don’t stress about feeding schedules and how much is too much. If they are hungry feed them. -Read up about Safe Sleep before you give birth and commit to it
Dont ever make anyone make you feel bad about breast feeding or bottle feeding. You are doing your best. If breast feeding works out for you great if not its okay. FED is best and you are awesome!
I'm due on January 8, 2025 with my second baby. My piece of advice is to think about and pick the things that you really want to do or that matter most to you. Meaning that we always want to do it all as moms but realizing that sometimes time doesn't allow that or my toddler might not, and that's ok. I say choose a few things because with my first, I beat myself up about not keeping up on everything that I had wanted to do. Looking back, I wanted to do so much, I still do with this baby, but I'm gonna choose my priorities. Anything else I can do is extra.
AMEN!!!
Totally agree older women know what’s best they raised us. Also books are full of ideology that isn’t sound.
Wise words
Great idea
4th time mom, due mid November.
Advice for all mom's. This is a season! Not forever, live in the moment.
Take a shower, everyday! Even if it's 2 minutes, brush your teeth..make a cup of coffee 🥰
All is well!!
Great video. My tip: prep dinner first thing in the morning, so no matter how the day pans out you can still get an evening meal on the table.
Great tip!
Love this idea
That was men this morning with my nipples leaking everywhere, bad read and holding my pee. Sorry for the TMI 😀
Yaaas
This is such good advice. I saw someone say this on another video I watched and I’ve been doing it and it really works. Come evening time I’m already too tired to cook so it’s nice to have something prepped from early.

Mom of 2. 10 & 5 year old boys. My biggest advice is be able to say NO to others. If it doesn’t work for your routine & your baby/family, just say no. Don’t stress yourself out trying to meet others expectations. Motherhood is a major change and added unnecessary stress just makes it harder ❤
Best comment!! I have screenshotted it and sent it to my daughter who is expecting 🤣🤣

Absolutely yes!! And make sure your family/ friends know the signs too
Cosleep with your baby is absolutely normal, you just need to follow the safety rules ❤baby feels safe and happy🎉
Baby #3 coming in dec. Praying for a pain free home birth! Praise God!
My son is 15 years old. My tip is,no matter what decisions you make at newborn stage, your child will become a teenager! You are welcome! 🤣🤣🤣
Lol😂😂😂
God Bless you.😊
That tip about not changing them overnight unnecessarily is SO good!!
Hopefully there's not too many haters in your comments, but for those of us that adore you - what they have to say doesn't matter anyway.🩷 God bless and thanks for sharing with all of us🦋😊
OMG, I laughed so hard at your story, I could just picture your baby burrito rolling down your legs!! 😂
😮
Which bassinet did you use??? I'm looking for one to nurse in / push baby right back in, but all that I find online have a drop or don't fold all the way down
@@johannawerner5515 I think it was Fodoss? It's been a few years! Good luck and congratulations on the new little one 🦋
Ftm due Dec 15th 2024 after years of infertility. I'm so excited 😊 thanks for the tips, I'm going to subscribe!
Congratulations
@mandp6554 thank you 😊
Welcome!!
Yay🎉
Congratulations!! I'm due with my first baby in the spring♥️💕
I’m 38 weeks, due date is end of September, the excitement to meet my little angel is killing me!!! I can’t wait ❤❤❤❤❤
You due the day after me my family don’t give two craps either I’ll be here for you I’m on baby number four ☺️🥰
Thank you for saying that a baby doesn't need a bath everyday. As a nurse, that drives me nuts. Cleaning as needed is just fine.
So true!
Began using natural progesterone and instantly fell in love with my baby!!! Found out with our third 😮🥰...Just didn't know I was deficient
This is the best, most practical video I've seen!
I have a 4-month-old son!
My #1 Tip is to let other Moms help you! ♡
Who's not a mama here and watching just because it is Kristen? 🙃 Girl, I love your sense of humor and the fact that you do you 🦸♀ God bless all your family 🙏❤
This is the sweetest comment! Thank you so much!!!
Wow😮 my due date is also 12 Feb. I was told it is a girl. Happy to see someone giving birth on the same day as me😊😂
My tip is have an idea of how you want to parent (how you feed, sleep, discipline, etc) but be flexible and give yourself grace if it doesn’t work!
I’m 79 ,I find you very sensible and a great mom .I’m praying for you and your family. And hope all is well
Thank you so much!
I love your approach! I'm pregnant with my first and there's so much fear out there, even from doctors so it helps to hear a realistic approach
First baby (surprise gender!) due October 29th💛 thank you for thinking of us new mamas. This was so helpful!
We’re also due Oct 29!! Good luck, mama!
Thanks for sharing!!
Loved it! I’m due God willing with baby #6 in December and I still learned a thing or two! Not scandalized at all, it’s just real life!
That is awesome!
Mama of 7 over here and co-slept with all of them.
I’m due October 28th with our first baby! My husband and I are so excited! 💕
I’m due October 26th with our first! Super excited 😆
First time mom, getting induced on 9/15! Very nervous, but finding your videos (especially new baby content) has been such a blessing 💕
What a beautiful baby girl! She looks very chill.
I totally agree with getting the baby on your schedule. My girls had a bedtime routine starting at 8pm since the were 2 weeks old.
At NIGHT turn ALL the lights down LOW 💜
This drove my husband's Gma crazy when we've visited with newborn's, but it works!!
Great suggestions. Babies adapt so well. Don't tiptoe around them. Get them use to sounds.. I even vacuumed when my son was sleeping.
Great tip!
In week three with my with my newborn baby. I watched your essentials video and it helped me so much, I really resonate with your minimalist approach. So now this video comes at a perfect time. Last night as a breastfeeding mom was a rough one, I will for sure try some of the things you mentioned and see how it goes.
You got this!
I would recommend coconut oil for dry skin on a newborn 💗 it also works great as nipple cream.
Ohmygosh!! Nursing was the best. However. I could be in public, and as soon any baby would cry, my milk would left loose. Lol
Due in two weeks! 😊💛
So close!
All of these line up with the book, “hunt gather parent” and as a veteran mom of 2 (3 in October!) I agree with all of these tips!!!
I love all of this! I am a first time mom to a now 2 month old and I am slowly figuring all this out that you’ve shared and agree with all of it!
I am due Jan 25th and happy to get all the tips and help I can ❤
I used a baby blanket like the one from the hospital all cotton fold it in half and put in bed or basinet that way little vomit won’t mess the sheet.
I exclusively pumped with my first and had enough milk saved up to feed her for 9
More months plus and donated some too!!!
I also stopped producing with the second pregnancy after 9
Months. It’s genetic to overproduce from what they told you so I hope you are a “milk goddess” as well :))
You can do it!
That is awesome!
Congratulations!! Beautiful baby!
36 weeks pregnant with baby #2 🥰 absolutely love your videos and appreciate these down to earth tips!
Yay! Thank you!
You have such great advice for having babies!!!!! They do grow up and become adults and it seems to happen over night !!!!!
Just try to allow yourself time not to rush & it will wk out ❤️
Watching this while nursing my 3 month old baby girl
I'm due February 1st with my second boy. I love how your dog was checking to see if his new baby was in the carseat 😊
WOWOWOW!!! Awesome tips for new and not so new Mom! Great tips and consideration for those nursing. Nursing is so nutritious. Continued grace, favor and Blessings!
Glad it was helpful!
Yes!
So true!
I Didn't find any of your 25 tips crazy at all woman! I loved used and put every 25 to use ! Great ideas !

Welcome!!
Second baby girl due in 38 days!!!
I loved my Boppy, but we also did stuff an extra blanket in the cover so I didn't have to hunch!
2nd time mom here! Love this all the way from South Africa ❤
These are some of the good and practical advices, we have always followed them
Baby Lily is getting so big and she's so beautiful, just like her mommy❤ And I love your dress!
I had my third baby yesterday at home, this video comes just right for me ☺️😴🎉
Congratulations! I had my fourth baby yesterday too! 😊
Wonderful!
❤
Due date 3rd of April! First time mum & so excited 🥹😍
Great video! Thanks for being honest ❤
Breastfeed!!!
Always ready, always perfect temperature, perfect nutritional value for baby. No need to wash bottles and formula makers… cost efficient ❤️❤️❤️
Yes maam
This is not always true.
But disgusting and painful
Our first baby is due in January ❤ Thanks for the tips! Good to know you can actually hear poop explosions, looking forward 😂
hey girl- Loved the video!😁 Kristen you are a great Mother😘 Keep up the good work. God has blessed you richly and he has given you wisdom🥰
Thank you so much!!
Kristen,
Great video.
Due 12/1/24 with my first!! Can’t wait to meet him!!!! ❤
-Read up about Safe Sleep before you give birth and commit to it
❤❤
Best tip, trust your gut, your intuition, you know your baby best.
So true!
Dont ever make anyone make you feel bad about breast feeding or bottle feeding. You are doing your best. If breast feeding works out for you great if not its okay. FED is best and you are awesome!
These tips were so amazing! Wish I had this video when I had my boys♥️♥️♥️so good
FTM due on September 19th. Excited to see what you share!
Good luck!!
