I feel like this show was carried by the Carrel-Malkovich dynamic, and constantly being antagonised by the Chinese... I mean who doesn't like to watch John Malkovich loose it. The rest was a little bland though. I woudn't bother rewatching it but I don't wish I had that time back either.

I liked the fact that in the few brief sequences we see inside the US Moonbase, the occupants actually walk around in 1/6G. None of this 'turn on the artificial gravity" nonsense. Well done to whoever pushed for that o be done.

It unusual for Government employees to have a sense of humour. They either get it surgically removed or beaten out of them during training.
I think that Space Force is extremely underrated. A lot of people say they don't like it because it is not as good as The Office. While this is true, I think there are very few shows better or even as good as The Office. Also, this show is different from The Office and good in its own ways, so I don't believe it is a fair comparison.

As a Space Engeneering Student myself I really liked the props and sets. It is a comedy show, so it does not have to be perfect, but they get many technical details right. Eg. the group experiment where they eate only potatoes whas really conducted in a simmilar way. I just which they concentrate a little more on the space millitary aspect of geoploitics, like taking down spy sattelites and maybe interferring communications satellites eg.

I was excited and emotional when I first saw Fred Willard on the show. Overall, I like this series! The mystery of why his Maggie was incarcerated forced me to watch the entire series multiple times because I kept thinking I missed something. Now, I just have it constantly playing in the background because it's funny.

The thing I missed in space force was Humor. They tried but to many fails. The characters are good though so i hope they do a better job if season 2 gets made.

The movie is - loosely - based on the story of Scott O'Grady, who was shot down over Bosnia in 1995. Goldfein, on the other hand, was shot down over Serbia 4 years later. Both were flying F-16s, but it was O'Grady who endured a lengthy employment of his SERE training, whereas Goldfein was rescued by helicopter within hours of ejecting.
They did an Orville, sold it to the network as a ho-hum comedy...but made a high end SciFi. They are both much higher quality than they were “sold” to be
A better post office connection would be the fact that the real life president, who the show openly parodies, is actively trying to sabotage the post office and is in favor of privatizing mail service.
I think it's Steve from the office, only if he was a general... It's really is the same character. Which for me, that's fantastic! And the real life story referenced... Was the topic of Behind Enemy Lines. ... Kids these days.
FYI, that logo for the actual Space Force actually comes from the official logo of Air Force Space Command. Not Star Trek. The AF has had that symbol since the early 80s....smh

I'm in the Air Force. Been in a LOOONG time! I love the show. There are quite a few subtilties that most non military people most likely won't pick up on, but I'm sure a lot of vets will. And will laugh their azzes off about.

There is plenty of blame to go around why this show sucked. I wanted to love it. But could not slog past the 5th episode. But it is ironic that they spent a ton of money on the show and still managed to roll a turd, much like most government agencies, regardless of how hard everyone in tries.
The show needs to go just a little bit in one direction or the other. It feels like it can't decided whether it wants to be a comedy with space elements or a, and I use the term very loosely, science fiction show with some comedy elements. It bothers me more than it should but he seesaw back and forth of at times taking itself completely serious only to flip a few moments later and embrace the absurd and has made it a difficult watch.

“Dogsternaught” & “Chimpsternaught”. That may be giving too much away. But there’s a lot of subtle comedic gold in this show.

The entrence to top secret military base hidden in a mountain instantly made me think of Stargate SG1

Stargate SG-1 actually used (as a set design) the actual entrance to the USAF Cheyenne Mountain complex. It's a real place.
The prison the wife is at is also called the Cheyenne Mountain Penitentiary! You can see it on a sign when Naird goes there for his conjugal visit.
