Foxish its like the jagd commando dagger its a twisted blade that were sharpened after they were forged together it could be the same principle could use a belt sander or go oldschool and use a whettstone itll take a while but itll happen
waw he was right handed bro. when you think about it his shield was broken completely and so was his arm, it'd make alot more sense if his shield was in his left (since that's the arm that took the full blow ) and the blow struck him down breaking his shield and arm. plus when you look at his stances when he fights you was it kinda needs a shield to be complete(in the left that is). or you know he could be ambidextrous
Him being right handed makes more sense. His armour has a big pauldron on the left and none one the right, typically you'd want the extra defense on the side you are blocking with, and more freedom of movement on the arm that swings a weapon.
Imagine going back in time and leaving this sword by the edge of a forest next to a village, I would love to see someone in the medieval ages reaction to it.
Now try effortlessly front flipping 15 feet in the air with that thing, that gives you a sense of how strong artorias is, and he was using his right hand (artorias is left handed)
That actually just gives you a sense of how little care for realism and physics was given by the designers... ;P Which in itself is neither bad nor good since it is a work of fantasy.
Now think about the fact that Artorias himself is about ten feet tall, and the version of the sword you get is only as big as you. The one he uses in his fight with you? Damn close to, if not more, than ten feet long.
Well, they finally did it. They made the sword that's been massively requested throughout all of their previous videos. And what did we get at the end? An extremely beautiful blade. They've come a long way since the Buster Sword, and it definitely shows here.
I think he talks about the series in general, how the episodes went from a 10min max format with cnc or hand-cutted steel sheets to a more complex and actual blacksmithing show. Making their own ore, using damascus, engraving, composite blades... episodes as" hattori hanzo katana build" wich are around twice as long show this evolution :p
+TankMunky And i think it shows why they were reluctant to make this for a while. It took a lot of work and a lot of different techniques to get it right. On the other hand, i´ve rarely seen them struggle so much to even lift a sword, to the point where none of them could swing it anymore. I guess thats why they dont do the Dragonslayer.

These guys are great! I only wish that we could get longer episodes, maybe get in more detail on the steps, or simply showing them without speeding up! It's such a beautiful and rare artisan work that I believe it should be appreciate in all its entirety
I remember when I first watched this, I thought it was cool but didn't know much about the game. This year I have watched several playthroughs of these games and have gained a deeper appreciation for these Fromsoft game builds. Such an iconic blade and so perfectly recreated.

These guys are great! I only wish that we could get longer episodes, maybe get in more detail on the steps, or simply showing them without speeding up! It's such a beautiful and rare artisan work that I believe it should be appreciate in all its entirety

I remember when I first watched this, I thought it was cool but didn't know much about the game. This year I have watched several playthroughs of these games and have gained a deeper appreciation for these Fromsoft game builds. Such an iconic blade and so perfectly recreated.
