we love those here in the Philippines they are a sign of high social status way back, and earned a legendary status here, my grandfather used to tell me he will buy 10 of those in the 90s and will give me one if that happens, i was so happy since i was like 10yo that time, he grew up poor and died poor, never had a chance to see me become successful... i was too late for that.. but in his honor i bought one matching his favorite color of green.. will keep mine forever to remember our laughing times seeing pajeros in the road together riding our old rugged jeepney....

I have the same in the Philippines--same color, body and engine: a Gen 2.5 1998 Mitsu Pajero V6 4x4 A/T GLS (fieldmaster body). The engine was working well but could do better so I had it rebuilt: timing belt kit, had to bore the cylinders, resurfaced the block and heads, new set of piston heads and rings, new spark plugs, seals, gaskets, tensioner, pulleys, radiator fan assembly, hoses, clamps, oil, coolant, all for USD 2,363.28. Engine now is smooth, steady and extremely quiet. I love it!

Love it! I just refreshed the weatherstripping for both front doors on my 2.5 and what a difference -- it honestly cut the road noise down more than a full acoustic treatment did. I've been keeping my eyes on your site waiting for the second row seals to be in stock so I can finish the job.

Great to hear! The Fronts are super easy to install but the Rears are tricky because of the top adhesive strip and unfortunately, we don't have those on the horizon as of now.

I had a 1998 Gen 2.5 with the Winter Package. The SR was 95-97, I believe.

Nice video! Do you have any solution/replacement/upgrade for the Rear Door Lower Hinge? Mine has just give-in after almost 10 years of having the Spare tire in there (which is oversize - 265/75R16).
My Montero is a ‘98 GLX, 2.8L Diesel (non-turbo 4M40 engine), 5-speed manual transmission. My dad was the original/1st owner, it currently has about 485,000km’s.

1998 model year did not have an SR spec. That's a Winter Edition. Love the hat, haha.

Haha record timing! When I was editing this video I noticed that and was wondering how long it would take for someone to correct me haha!

I don't know if its been arksed but i have a gen 1 pajero/montero v6 ng 1990 that doesn't have a fuel tank but have you heard or know if a gen 2 v6 pajero/montero would fit in them

Hello, yes the tank from a Gen2 will work but you'll have to modify the venting system to work. Check out this video to get an idea of what you'll face: ua-cam.com/video/ZlhonaEnvhg/v-deo.html
