    Good honest review guys, I picked up my 2022 Pathfinder SL Premium in same color combo. I did compare it to the same Highlander XSE Trim. I went with the Pathfinder for a few reasons. Price difference & Availability. Highlanders are more scarce and Toyota dealers are marking them up ridiculously especially the XSE Trim compared to the 2022 Pathfinder. You failed to mention that the Pathfinder SL Premium package gives you the tow hitch with 7 point wiring harness and 6,000 pound towing capacity compared to 5,000 for the Highlander which doesn’t give you a tow hitch with any trim level or package, Pathfinder has 7 drive modes to choose from and in SPORT mode it’s throttle is much more responsive. I am very impressed with the interior trim materials and the ride quality and smoothness of my new Pathfinder. IMO The Pathfinder is the much better bargain compared to Highlander.

    Not a big deal but The new Highlander has remote start integrated in the key fob as well. All new Toyota’s has this feature with smart entry. Mash the lock button three times and hold it down on the third click. Both good looking SUV’s. And the Toyota will hold its value much better than Nissan. Toyota always has and will.

      @@rhaymore I’m not degrading the pathfinder in no way, I was just pointing out his mistake in saying toyota only offers it with a subscription. And the Nissan is 2 clicks lock and hold the start button versus Toyota is mash the lock button twice and hold it the third time. Not sure how that’s any easier or harder it’s one more click. But I had a 2005 pathfinder off road edition loved that suv, up until it had transmission issues. The dreaded coolant leaking into the transmission ordeal that they was plagued with. But regardless I still loved it. Glad to see Nissan going back with a more bolder rugged style. I wish they would do like ford did and go back to a rear wheel drive platform, and go more towards off road like the 4 runner again.

    Hello Car Confections. Good comparison video between the newly released 2022 Nissan Pathfinder and the 2021 Toyota Highlander. Both vehicles were able to put up a fight in the ring. The Pathfinder delivered the knockout punch to the Highlander. Overall, the Pathfinder's exterior design schematics is a little more stylish than the Highlander....especially at the front end. The lower front facia on the Highlander was the achilles heel. The lower portion looks like the mouth opening of a whale or shark. Due to the fact that drivers are doing a lot of towing these days, the Pathfinder has the advantage. The rims on the Highlander are more stylish though and the V6 engine sounds better with a more aggressive growl sound to it. The Pathfinder has a little more versatility and will do a better job off roading. In the next vehicle comparison video or the comparison video after that, maybe a comparison between the Volkswagen Atlas and Nissan Pathfinder can be done. Or, the Atlas and Highlander. Those would be nice matchups.

    • @hlubmos2chah945
      @hlubmos2chah945 2 роки тому +1

      Agreed. The lower facia of Highlander does look like mouth of an aggressive Shark or Whale that ruin the look of the XSE. Meanwhile heated second row seats , heated steering wheel, and stylish front facia if the Nissan deliver a knockout punch on this fight. Great insight and sounded comparison.

      @@texasyank48 while I respect you because your name has texas in it, I have to disagree. Temporarily. The values you mentioned are based on pre-COVID conditions. Nissan’s residuals increased exponentially 2020-2021. Ended up choosing the hybrid highlander with the tech and bench seat we wanted and great gas mileage. Don't need to tow anything huge so it will be fine for us. all tech that you showed us in the video are only available in the USA or Canada. I live in the UAE and these features are not available here. In fact, the cars usually come with one or 2 upgrades from the base model in comparison to a massive price hike. Another issue is, In UAE you cannot select the interior cloth/leather colour. Which is very weird. Simply, to put it, the market of the UAE needs to modernise and compete with US or Canadian markets when it comes to selling cars

    Unless youre buying a highlander limited or above dont touch the other trim levels. They suck as they dont have the necessary parking sensors and back up camera guiding lines, which are very much needed for a vehicle that you cant really see good when backing up. Also the infotainment in the highlander sucks big time.
