The thumbnail/title-card now makes me wish there's an Amiga version of Super Smash Bros full of iconic Amiga characters. Guybrush vs Turrican vs Superfrog vs Bodyblows folks vs Lemming(s) vs Bub/Bob vs Beast (from Shadow of The Beast) vs Conrad (from Flashback).... etc. etc. :D
There are so many great platformer games for the Amiga 😺👍🕹️. In fact, these are my favorite games: - LEANDER - SHADOW OF THE BEAST I-III - BUBBLE BOBBLE - THE GREAT GIANA SISTERS SHADOW OF THE BEAST, LEANDER and THE GREAT GIANA SISTERS are three of the games, that would definitely give meow some inspirations for drawing my own art works 🖋️🖊️✏️🖍️ 😺👍.
To be honest, Ari, I nearly didn't go ahead creating this video because the Amiga platformer collection is amazing in hugh numbers. Great Giana Sisters, I will add to the list. 🕹👍
@@RainerK. "Into the wonderful..." 😼🤘 GODS from The Bitmap Brothers is a legendary classic game 😺👍🕹️. Me and my older brother played that game a lot on our Amiga 500 back in the early 1990's 😺👍🕹️. It's also amazing, that Simon Bisley (HEAVY METAL) drew an awesome cover art for the game box 😺👍.
I still have my boxed copy of Leander, I adored that game back in the day. Shadow of The Beast, Rodland and Rainbow Islands are also games I still have a lot of love for and regularly play on my various emulators.
I've got a boxed version of Leander on display. Beautiful game and artwork by Tim White. Yes, all the games you mentioned I still play. I'm still trying to beat Beast. Thanks for watching. 👍🕹
That’s brilliant like you said so many more, but great to see one of my favourites Leander, loved that game, unfortunately my copy crashed at a point in the game and never finished it, that’s what I get for a copied game 😂Now got it on my A500 mini, it’s still just as good! Rodlands one I never played , git it for my A500 mini but just can’t get it working.. yet😁. Again awesome vid and cheers for the trip back in time.
Leander is an amazing game. I used to have the same issue with copy games crashing all the time, but unfortunately, that's the risk we take with copied games. Now, when it comes to games not working on the mini, there are a couple of options. If the Whdload doesn't work, then you can always use the adf instead. But the best way is to download Amiga Game Selector, and all the games are included. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching. 👍🕹
Totally agree with you. I've played so many versions of Bub Bob and Rainbow Islands, and they are all great. I need to look into other systems for Rodland. Thanks for watching. 🕹👍
Okay, i am looking for an obscure amiga platformer. It was ugly. You character was a rabbit with a gun... All i remember, is that the floppy disc had: Killer Bunny written on it, but it was not the title i think. :) Possibly a product of poland or something. :'D
@@garygillgaming Yeah, it's natural guess, but sadly no. :') It must be truly obscure, it was uglier then the Polish amiga game Lazarus... Why i think it must Czech or Ukrainian or polish creation, because it was so low grade, and we got it somehow back in the hand-hand to distribution era, where data discs and floppies were handed over and multiplied through several countries. :D I have been checking some Amiga databases by country and nothing came up. :D I remember the game starting in a cave, with green toxic stuff to avoid.
@technomancer5449 I will keep digging. Just checked Lemon Amiga, and there was not much there. It may be in the public domain archive, so I will check there next. 👍
Great list there is defiantly room for a pt2. Also I’m curious were you playing lionheart on the a500mini? It always has a few graphical glitches when I try it maybe I need to adjust some settings? Cheers.. have a nice day
Thank you. I am using FS_UAE for PC. Have you tried AGS for the a500 mini ? It's a fantastic frontend for the mini, and the games are already set up and ready to play. 👍🕹
@@garygillgaming maybe the mini just lacks the power I was using latest ags to play lionheart actually its smooth and playable enough just not perfect graphics wise. Thanks for reply
I'm gutted I didn't see Robocod!
Not to worry, he will be featured very soon. Thanks for watching👍🕹
Very good selection! Thanks for creating and sharing❤

My absolute favourite platform game on the Amiga.
😮 Flood I haven't played since the Amuga glory days. 🕹👍

I wonder, why the game Elf by Ocean is almost never mentioned in such reviews
Elf (Ocean) is a great game. I will certainly add it to a future video. 🕹👍
Have you played ‘BC Kid’
Yes, I have played it. I'm going to feature it in a future video. Classic game. 👌
