It kind of hurt my heart when you said “when you live alone you can eat whatever you want and not feel judged.” I live with my partner and theres no judgement like that at all. Maybe im reading into it too much but you deserve someone who fully embraces who you are.

When you live with an emotional abusive person you lose your entire self... what you eat, how you dress, who your friends are. Lived with one for 19 years and almost 14 years after divorce I still struggle with the emotional abuse from that 19 years of control.
@@albrightfs I totally relate. I ended a 20 year emotionally abusive marriage in 2021. I'm still learning who I am and what I like. Glad we're both free of that! 🫂🫂

Hello Jenna! How brave of you to answer those questions. I live alone since my husband died. Initially it was very hard! However time passes, and now I am more than happy to be alone. If I need people I go out, generally there are people who will talk with you. If not, then just being in a different place is okay too. Take care! You are still young, so plenty of time for everything yet to come, for you to discover. ❤

its comforting to know you too experience depression and anxiety and frequently get overwhelmed. i feel like there are too many times i get overwhelmed with something like a craft project and just give up the whole thing because it just feels like too much. so to know that happens to you too but you still find a way around it is so hopeful!!!

I’ve been with my partner since we were 16 (over 16 years ago, we’re 32 now) and I cannot imagine how strange it must be to be on your own again. Same except with knitting as crochet is a bit beyond my skills at the moment. I crocheted a super uneven chain last year & decided to revisit crochet somewhere down the line lol.
But Jenna's videos always brighten my day & make me at least +want+ to be motivated, which is still something.

I don't sew, knit or crochet, but I absolutely love your channel. You are so sweet and quirky. I found myself living alone for the first time at 30 and I agree that the best part was eating and decorating however I wanted. My three cats were a huge help, except for painting. I have had/have on and off depression for years. One thing that completely changed my life and helped so so much is learning about gut health and how it actually is impacting our mental health
i'm going through the same thing with my relationship, been with him since i was 17 and now 10 years later we decided to end things cause its just different now, we grew up and are now looking for different things and im about to live by myself for the first time in my life! when i'm watching you i feel like i'm watching a multiverse version of myself haha love your content, keep going and wish you all the best

My friends have been together since high school and they just broke up, the guy has been staying on mine and my boyfriends couch a lot the last two weeks since it happened. It was thier one year wedding anniversary and they’re 29 & it’s breaking everyones heart that they didn’t last. So naturally I told him about you and your husband because it feels so similar. You obviously didn’t owe us closure but thank you for speaking a little more on it. I just wanted to know you were truly okay. I can’t imagine how hard it is to update ppl about your life, I could never.

Oh Jenna, I just love you Girl! You are such a breath of fresh air. You did surprise me about your depression. I can certainly understand it at this point in your life but I would never think it. Glad you do take medication and that it helps. As sad as divorce can be, maybe it will all work out for the best, glad you are still friends. You already know you're my favorite UA-camr so just keep up making those videos, they make my day!

I got back in to knitting at the end of last year because of you so you are a massive figure in the community for me at least. Also idk if you'll ever do a follow up q&a and this question is super personal so don't awnser if you aren't comfortable: Since the biggest reason for your split was sort of growing appart/changing in different directions over many years time, I wonder if this outcome was on your mind at all when you got married, since that was not that long ago. I don't mean any judgement, I just think it would be interesting to learn from your experience of marriage and divorce since your general mindset and outlook on life are so relatable to me (and many others I think). This was nice and chill. I missed the update about the split, so I'm sorry to hear about that.. But as a 30 something with lots of breakups under my belt, I'm glad to hear it wasn't something awful or some betrayal. Growing apart still hurts, don't get me wrong, but I'm just glad it wasn't full drama.
Keep taking care and enjoying the independence. Music is also my go-to.
Thank you for sharing yourself here. I live alone, and I love it! I love the freedom of doing whatever I want. Whenever there is another person around, I shut down and feel like I can't be myself. But when I'm by myself, I have a really rich life and love my own company and all the different aspects of my personality--the inner child, the wise woman, the creative thinker, etc. I cook for myself, and then I enjoy the meal. I don't want to brush my teeth, and then I take myself by the hand and say, "Here, we can do this." I talk to myself a lot, and I answer myself, and I feel that all this is a healthy way to be. I love my life. ❤
