from an amateur writer, it honestly means so much to an author when you buy their book. i know people hate on buying books just to never read them but even just as decor, buying books os awesome! it means writers get to keep writing and booksellers stay in business! ❤
Jenna, try putting a shim under the front of the red bookcase. It's a small, plastic wedge that will help your bookcase lean flush against the wall. More sturdy than velcro.
I was so proud of you when you moved the washer and dryer and got that shelf assembled all on your own! I audibly said, "You did it Jenna!". So proud of a stranger on the internet. 🥰
Maybe you can figure out a frame for the acrylic glass of your coffeetable in matching colours out of some light wood or something. Then you still can take it off, but the "edge of shame" will not be visible anymore and the acrylic doesn't move around the top of the table. Love your content Jenna ❤️💜🧡💚 Greetings from Germany.
I totally know that feeling of leaving a long term relationship and finally feeling like your space is *all you*. Be proud of yourself, it looks gorgeous!
Wow- it looks so Jenna and that to me screams independent, quirky, and warm. It’s so welcoming and like a mid century/bohemian magazine spread. You have an eye for putting unique pieces and patterns and colours together that all mix and match cohesively. Amazing! 😊
just so you know with those bookshelves youre supposed to stick the bottom book like IN the shelf, using the back sleeve. it will stay!!! and will make the books look more like theyre floating!!! looks amazing youre so strong ❤️
Came here to leave this comment myself! Most of these little floating guys have a tiny lip or two tiny “fingers” just below the shelf. You place the metal shelf just inside the back book cover and fit the edge of the back cover into those little fingers or small ledge. Magic!
Wow Jenna. What a strong, confident, independent woman you are! Watching you put that shelf together inside that tiny closet (and really, everything) without any help is so inspiring to me! Thank you for letting us come along on your journey. ♥️
i've only been watching your channel for about a week or so now and i just wanted you to know you've inspired me so much to really start creating things i love & i find so much comfort in your videos 🥹🤍 also these apartment videos have really inspired me to actually decorate my house even though ive been here two years lmfao 😭
Love how your apartment turned out! Cutting plexi is definitely not the easiest to do by yourself. Custom art framing shops or stores that offer framing services can have special cutters that could do it if you find yourself in need again (they might even do it for free). You may also be able to order a piece of glass through them cut to custom size as many work with glass companies for mirrors, etc., if you ever went that route. You could also get those suction cup hardware attachments for glass table tops to help the plexi stay in place.
it looks fab! I really like how you've maximised the spaces you have. With that Ivar shelf you're using for art supplies - there's a cross wire thing you can attach at the back to give it more stability so it doesn't wobble.
You should get a bit of glass cut with 10 and 5 inches overhang and put horizontal glass mounts on the legos! Acrylic will scratch easily unless you poly coat it.
Great video! FYI--keep an eye on that red shelf. In the last shot, it looked like it might be coming away from the velcro on the wall. Wouldn't want any of your nice things to fall and break!
There are a lot of individual, interesting pieces here but they all come together to create a cheerful, attractive, cohesive space. I can understand why she is proud of her efforts. My faves are the leggo table and that wonderful red shelf.
This video was well worth the wait!! You have such an eye for design and you're teaching me to patiently wait for decor items that really speak to me rather than try to fill the place up as soon as possible. Since crochet season is incoming, maybe you could make a beach coverup or a tapestry for your wall!
OMG‼️‼️‼️ I spit-out my drink and laughed my A$$~OFF when you where cutting the plexiglass and looked up at the 🎥 camera wearing diving goggles...HILARIOUS... -I'm still laughing 😅 ♡ 🤣 ♡ 😂 ♡ 😆...💋♥️💋 #love #youmakemyday #bestdiyprojects Jenna you're going to be more than 👌🏻 OK 👌🏻 #yougotthis... "THANKS for the BELLY LAUGHS". Also, great job in decorating and utilizing every little corner in your FABULOUS HAPPY, COLORFUL PLACE.
Jenna, tip for cutting/snapping acrylic. Score it more than you think you need to. Then, get a straight edge (like a level or piece of wood or something) and CLAMP it on top of the acrylic on the edge of the table (basically where your left hand was when you were trying to snap it). That'll prevent the exact issue you had.
That red shelving unit brightens and brings personality to your room and ties it beautifully to the rest of your decor. So happy you now feel at home. Xxx
Hands down love the place but I would call your dining nook / work space, your boutique! The place is magical and really inspirational for me as a future renter! Love seeing your videos as they brighten my day!
Oh man I LOVE YOU JENNA, and I love your place. Your place is just like you and your personallity; perfect, unique and joyful. Thank you for being you, and thank you for sharing yourself with your family on youtube. KEEP BEING YOU.
Please keep crocheting! You’ve inspired me to start crocheting and I’m working on a sweater right now but want to know other things to work on after! :)
i used to go to uni in vancouver and every week after therapy i’d walk through that home depot and look at the plants to cheer myself up. lol seeing you go there was a trip
I would make a cute cheat sheet for which bins are on which shelves to hang on the interior door, that way you don’t have to move the bins over and over.
Love love love LOVE your place! It’s such a purse expression of your creativity and personal style. I hope it serves you well and brings you joy in this next chapter of your life ❤
Loved seeing your place come together, it really reflects your style and taste. It has a happy vibe, now you can sew and knit to your heart’s content. ❤
The place looks super cute 🥰 by the way if you’re buying books online you can check out thrift books. That’s what I usually use and you can get them cheaper than Amazon or Barnes and Noble and usually I’m pretty good condition!
My suggestion is to put a wedge of folded cardboard or something under the edge of your red shelf. Scared the stuff out of me thinking of it falling. Sending support, love, and kindness from Lexington, Michigan, USA.
It fits you really well and it's great to see you so happy with it :) Just a suggestion: wouldn't the living room look better with the bigger couch on the wall with the painting instead of in front of the window? If you switched the couch and the chair, the window would have to be covered.
Everything looks great. The light in your bedroom looks really cute! I like that you try things that most people wouldn’t try just because it’s not the “right” way.
Hope you were able to take everything that you wanted from your old place, especially how you decorated that deck. Plus everything that was in all the different places people put things and forget what is where.
Your place is so much fun and beautiful. I love that you get an idea, and set out to make it happen. Next to yours, my place is dull. I love the colors, so not sure why I resort to bland colors. I'll take it as a need to change, and try to spice up my small space. So glad to hear from you and get your video.
I LOVE IT!! The place is so YOU!! Since now you don't have a car, it's great to see what you do to still go to thrift stores and buy things on facebook marketplace, or use one of those share cars. I don't have a car myself, so it's good to see that you can still go thrifting.
Love the apartment, love the style, it really does feel like ✨Jenna✨ if i compare it with all the beautiful things you made and thrifted over the years, it screams fresh, joy and peace❤
Would love to see you make a Lærke Bagger knit! I just made the Ombré T-Shirt and it was the most fun and creative knit project, I think you’d love it!
My daughter reads incredibly fast. I remember when jurassic Park came out. I was working, so it took me a while to read it. I got done on a Friday night . Saturday morning, I gave it to her and told her it was a great book. She was about 13 at the time. Around 4 pm, she gave it back and said she read it and loved it. She read all the Harry Potter books in 2 days. It was incredible.
Jenna! with these bookshelves u can make it so the books look like theyre floating on the wall, just stick the shelf in the back cover of the lowest book. anywas love you
the "book" shelves: there is a little clip on the inside on the shelf that you slot the back cover of the bottom book onto, so that the shelf support itself is hidden inside the book and "invisible", so the books look like they're floating and not just sitting on a metal bracket
I think I would put a chock (or a shim, thanks, Kristine) under the front of the red shelf, just to be sure. Like the legendary folded paper under the cafe table leg, the paperback book under the wobbly dresser. If that Velcro came loose, you'd be sad, and we don't want sad.... Also, I think that in time, when you're ready, you can find a bracket with a longer arm for the lamp. Just keep it in the back of your mind, in case you run across one....
Hi Jenna! I love ALL of it but my favorite piece is the red wall shelf, it just makes it all pop! Great job girl! It's amazing how you put it all together, the old and the new, it just looks so good. Love your cozy little living room and your "babies" are loving it too. Looking forward to your next adventure.
u could get a hook screw and put it up on the ceiling and hang the lantern from there. that’s what i did and it’s super simple u don’t even need a stud since it’s so light maybe just an anker
have you done the tape method before when you need to drill two holes? you put painters tape on the back of the item and mark where the two holes are then put the tape on the wall and drill into where you marked the holes.
Уou' re not only a wonderful knitter and sewer but a very handy home designer, can fix everything👌🏡.Jack is such a lovely helper🐶best wishes from Russia

My question, why did you not just thrift those bowl hangers I think I am going to try to make them.
Sister just explain the book named " 8 rules of love "... Can you pls explain the book...
I’m so impressed by how quickly you figured out how you wanted to design your space! Your unique style is so cohesive but still fun!
Indeed, I'm currenty furnishing my place and making videos about it. Thrifting stuff that is unique but is cohesive with the space is really hard 🥲
from an amateur writer, it honestly means so much to an author when you buy their book. i know people hate on buying books just to never read them but even just as decor, buying books os awesome! it means writers get to keep writing and booksellers stay in business! ❤
Unfortunately, I saw she also had a book by Jay Shetty. He is a fraud, I would take everything he says with a grain of salt.
Jenna, try putting a shim under the front of the red bookcase. It's a small, plastic wedge that will help your bookcase lean flush against the wall. More sturdy than velcro.

I was going to say the same thing :)
They can also be wood. They are used to level doorframes and windows among other things, so should be available at any building store.
I was so proud of you when you moved the washer and dryer and got that shelf assembled all on your own! I audibly said, "You did it Jenna!". So proud of a stranger on the internet. 🥰
Nice job, Jenna! I love how all of your secondhand finds came together to paint a real cool, funky “Jenna”-space!
Such a good idea! It could even be a thin rubber/sponge type frame in a cool color
Decorative tapes?
I totally know that feeling of leaving a long term relationship and finally feeling like your space is *all you*. Be proud of yourself, it looks gorgeous!
What? Did I miss something? Wasn't there a wedding recently? I remember her doing her wedding dress?
Happy International Women’s Day!
Nobody gives a damn about that lmao
Nobody gives a damn about you if you act that way 😂 @@amongdae
Wow- it looks so Jenna and that to me screams independent, quirky, and warm. It’s so welcoming and like a mid century/bohemian magazine spread. You have an eye for putting unique pieces and patterns and colours together that all mix and match cohesively. Amazing! 😊
I mean this in the best possible way but the chaotic aunt energy in this video is actually giving me life.
just so you know with those bookshelves youre supposed to stick the bottom book like IN the shelf, using the back sleeve. it will stay!!! and will make the books look more like theyre floating!!! looks amazing youre so strong ❤️
Omg!! That would look amazing!
Came here to leave this comment myself! Most of these little floating guys have a tiny lip or two tiny “fingers” just below the shelf. You place the metal shelf just inside the back book cover and fit the edge of the back cover into those little fingers or small ledge. Magic!
Jack is pretty much one of the cutest pugs I’ve ever seen. I used to have two and I miss them so much.

I was just going to comment on that too! I have the same bookshelves and I absolutely adore them!!!
Hey Jenna, please be careful drilling holes around fuseboxes. You're lucky you didn't hit any electric lines.
Wow Jenna. What a strong, confident, independent woman you are! Watching you put that shelf together inside that tiny closet (and really, everything) without any help is so inspiring to me! Thank you for letting us come along on your journey. ♥️

I love how your new home become so YOU, light happy, a lot of humour, colors and creativity. Veryyy nice
I absolutely love Where the Crawdads sing ! It’s such a great book
I think you’ve done a great job with your small space which is the challenge lots of people have
I love when you talk us through a process and you say “so” then cut to you with power tools😍🙌🏻
I loved that also!!!
It really is magical how you can put the most uncoordinated pieces together and make them look so perfect together wow you are inspiring🥰
Where the crawdads sing is my favourite book ever. Makes me so happy whenever someone reads it 💓
It’s lovely to watch you put together such a fun, cozy, individual space. I hope you’ve been enjoying the process

I LOVE what you’ve done with this apartment, truly reflects your personal style!
That red shelf is everything.

Girl your apartment looks so awesome! I love how beautifully it has come together, it’s definitely you! Are we going to get a balcony makeover too??
I died at the kids swimming goggles😂 so proud of you btw!🫶🏼 the apartment looks so good !!!!

The house is full of life and colour. Love everything ❤️
I'd love to see your take on summer knitting! tank tops, vests, etc. :)
Love the faith in those command strips
Looks great! I think there are cleanable faux lawn trays you could have on the balcony for emergency/middle-of-the-night walkies.
😮 that red shelving unit is GORGEOUS and your fur babies are adorable ☺️
