So Dubfab made the arms too? Side note, we should talk to 034 Motorsports or UroTuning. They both make their own rubber mounts for the watercooled work but use a stiffer solid rubber for their motor mounts and strut mounts. I bet they could easily make these kind of higher durometer engine mounts!
Cool video. I’m curious if you could use the 3x3 boxed arms on a bus even if doing a IRS conversion on the early bus like you can on the type 1 bugs if doing a Baja style build.
Sorry for the dumb question. Which Bowden tube sleeve are you using. Im doing IRS conversion on a 65 bus. Great Channel by the way. Your Bus is Sick!!!!
Thank You. I looked it up and you are correct. I have to go back and change mine that I installed yesterday.lol. I installed EMPI disc brakes and thought the vent should go upward. Thank You for setting me straight Sir! Great Vids too
I did the type E motor sports IRS conversion on a 58 2 years ago. Artigas trans. Rides so smooth wheels sit straight up.
Great clip ....i like using freeze plugs to block old heat tubes and loose the tape
Really enjoyed the video and after seeing the Bus in person it’s fair to say the attention to detail in your work is second to none!
Respect!
Thank you very much!
Some nice looking parts going in 😀
Great video as usual GT. Learn something from every one!
Cool video! Thanks for the good information.
Great video will be a big help on my 59 resto
Yea man!!! Great work
Appreciate it!

The shackles, trailing arms and springplates are DubFab.
👍👍

I’m sure it’s possible with the right mods and fabrication.
Great video, very informative. What the model number for the Wilwood caliper you are using for the rear?
That are the new EMPI direct replacement for their standard caliper. With e brake.
I really dig your channel! No B.S., just solid work ethic & advice.
I have a ‘62 Porsche 356, and was wondering if you also work on old Porsches?
I do not. I’ve worked on a few when I turned wrenches at Beetle Barn. Very similar platforms.
Great Video, I'm from CANADA does it get that Cold in LV to use a Heater LOL
We get to the 30-40’s F. The heater is mostly for camping.
Interesting you guys in the states seem to do most irs conversions with beetle arms, no one uses 68/70 bay window arms and drums?
These areas were modified for 2” drop and 1 3/4” narrow for my narrowed torsion housing. Michael is working on a Bay arm kit.
Also. T-1 arms are more readily available. 👍🏽

I’m using the stock for 62 Bowden tube. Part # 311721361.
Thank you sir 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What's the part number of the rear calipers and or a source for them? Thank you!
Isn't your bearing cap and seal supposed to have the vent hole straight upwards?
Vent drains to the bottom.
