Great install video my only comment is maybe advise people to use flare wrenches. Very important in my opinion, when working on old crusty brake fittings. I can’t stress enough how important your master cylinder tip is to those who have not done this job. Get everything started before you tighten anything down. Great tip!
I love these videos George even though I don’t own a VW. I’m 72 nearly so not interested in working on one myself but sure would love a daily driver myself. ❤
@@the_Wagen I’m running them on my splits, drums on the rear and boosted disks up front. The braking will put you through the windshield if ya not careful 😂
*****IMPORTANT NOTE!!!! The Master Cylinder was purchased separately from So Cal Imports. The EMPI kit comes with a single circuit master cylinder. ******
George, your video's are super informative. Your work is top-notch. Another great job! Question, can I do the disc brake conversion on the fronts ONLY, and use my brand new (expensive German) single circuit master cylinder with the kit?
I was curious , On the master Cylinder for the front, one side looks to have a residual valve on one wheel but not the other? why is that? On my bus I have a residual valve on both front lines and one going to the back. Used same type master as you have but my master doesnt have any residual valves on it. my brakes seem really hard to get good stopping power. I have to press pretty hard . Any comments?
@@the_Wagen Thanks, but it looks like those brass pieces in the MC are still attached and you connected your brake lines to them. they are pointed to the driver side I think. arent those residual valves?

Glad you like them!
love that grease container:) Have you tried the VH 44 remote brake booster? They make the disk brakes amazing.
I have not. 👍🏽

Always a pleasure to watch. Thank you for the tips.
Thanks for watching!
Great video. So detailed. This is something I’d love to put onto my own bus. Thanks for sharing! ☘️✌️

Im sure you can. It will require adding a proportion valve. I’d recommend dual circuit for safety.
@@the_Wagen Thank you.
Great video
You couldn't tell me the paint code of that car
Thanks ed
Can you talk about your motor specs. Great video's
Think I’ll make a video about it. I get a lot of requests for it. 👍🏽

My Master Cylinder was from Empi Most likely a different manufacturer. This is a 4 wheel disc master cylinder. Residual valves have been removed.

No they are not. 👍🏽
