@@Dimitris_Half ight I’ll just start listening harder. I won’t even attempt to start conversation. I’ll just wait until people talk to me so I can listen and then finally become better at conversing. Thanks for your help man
sounds great but actually feels like i have to adapt..? to others in order to please them… i mean what about me like i wanna tell something about myself too
I mean sure that'll improve your conversations but that's just common sense... Not really a new tip or sth. Ngl but Ted talks has really been a mixed bag, you have some amazing stuff and then you have some "well yeah duh" stuff
Fellow ADHD homie here. I'd really encourage you to give mindfulness meditation a whirl. It's helped me immensely with my ADHD. Get the audiobook version of "Meditation For Fidgety Skeptics" by Dan Harris. It'll change your life.
Help? Socially awkward is my middle name, and I would give anything to be a great conversationalist- am a great listener but awful 😖 at asking questions 🤣
all fun and games until no one else in your life thinks like that and after years you’ve realized you shut up just to listen to people talk who never never learned how to do it themselves and the being listened to is never reciprocated

Have better conversations: "just shut up and listen". Thanks for the advice, haven't thought about it up until now 👍🏻
Most people really don't.
People are wrapped up in their own heads most times and not TRULY listening.
It’s easy to listen. Where I struggle at is the talking part. Don’t know how to ask the good questions to get people talking.

It's a great message; however, listening to some people is just a a waste of time.
