    You can try the thinnest plywood sheets cut to tile size, covered in plaster and paint. Then, you can use the same double sided tape

    It looks great! And MUCH cheaper than those Moroccan zelige tiles... so definitely worth the try, although I hope one day you'll be able to have the real ones, too! Sending love from Europe. k

      Thank youuuu sis!! There’s something even better you can use the same size ply wood pieces on Amazon with the tape it would look even more uniform I used the cork cz I thought the adhesive would work but I ended up having to put tape anyway

    In one of my rentals I was super broke so I bought some 1/8 masking tape and painted on some tile. I'm not even kidding you couldn't even tell. 💜 I love what you did with the kitchen and I love love love those cabinet pulls

    Jasmine they make smaller tension rods you can put inside the window frame. Just twist it and put it up there. An easy way to hang curtains and lots of things. Looks great painted white. Nice backsplash.

    This alternative for the beautiful but expensive (which is logical) Moroccan zellige tiles is amazing. Love the way you pay attention to the details like the realistic edges of the tile you made.

We're fortunate that our city does compost along with our recycling and garbage pick up, so I don't feel too bad throwing them out since they'll be reused. Hope you are doing well!     I have to admit that your cookbook collection made me laugh - Keto and Forks Over Knives are the exact opposite of each other. 😂

    The brass pulls really change the look. It makes it look more expensive. Great job. I hope more people have you make over their spaces so you have more content and get a million subscribers. My husband is an electrician and when he redid my kitchen while back he took out the electrical plates and put them under the cabinet so that way it’s seamless and you can’t see the plugs

    As I watched you with your new backsplash I came up with a ton of ideas because they're peel and stick you could use stencils to add some more decor to them depending on the colors that you like since you like the natural textures and colors maybe you can take a pretty leaf stencil and do every other square or something like that!? I mean the possibilities are limitless! Theres a lot that you can do as I watch you with those peel and stick I see so many possibilities! you can even do like some jute twine on every third square! I think you can even make it more natural by adding some faux ferns or something like that.

      Yes you could totally do a stencil on these!! That’s a great idea! I’ll prob leave them blank cz I think my space is already feeling busy and on the crowded side cz it’s small but that’s such a good idea!

    Hi Jasmine, if you like the natural wood you can continue to use your piece of wood but, you can order a magnet shelf for the back of your stove from Amazon. It is truly one of the best things that I have purchased.

    so for the binding, you can put like washi tape over them and the write the title on them so they all look cohesive.

      @@RebuildingHomeWithJasmineRae I've seen people use washi tape on the spines of the books to make them all look the same. either washi tape or something else with a light adhesive backing that won't ruin the book. the sorry girls or mr Kate may have done it? instead of turning the books around, all the spines look the same, or have the same design and you can write the title on them

      Yes I’ve Gotten a couple pasta sauce splatters that were easy to wipe off. I used the same paint i used on walls (satin finish) so that I can wipe it just like I wipe the walls

    Hi Jasmine, love your style. The heat from cooking is not good for your spices. It’s best to store them in a cooler place. If the heat melted off the labels, your spices are being cooked too.

      Thank you!! The labels only melted on a couple that fell onto the stove while I was baking I didn’t realize they had fallen. But they didn’t melt off sitting on the piece of wood. Do you think it’s ok?

    Do you think the tile would look better if you put it on the wall first then painted it? I just put some in my amazon cart because that is actually a damn good functional idea.

      I honestly don’t think so because even the ones I touched up the paint while on the wall the paint started to seep into the cracks between so I had to be super careful. when I was moving them there was a few painted lines on the wall I’ll have to sand and fix when we move

    I wants a bamboo dish drying rack ‘cause they’re so pretty but all the reviews on Amazon for them show they have issues with black mold - do you have a fix for this?

      Hmmm idk, Mine hasn’t gotten moldy yet I got it from Homegoods. The top layer of sealant is wearing off from the water so that might be why it gets moldy over time. Maybe just put an extra clear coat of sealer

    If you like the lighter wood look of the knife block but don't have the budget right now, I always see knife blocks at thrift stores. Alternatively you could take yours and DIY it so be lighter. Maybe wrap it in twine or strip the stain and lighten it or paint something quirky on it like house plants or make it look terrazo. baking soda paint... ok I got to stop these just sooo many ideas... and you could make a video out if it too!

      @@RebuildingHomeWithJasmineRae You could try spray painting the handles too... but I am not sure how well they will hold up with use and washing but it might be a fun experiment if your knives are not expensive... I wonder if theres anything on pinterest about this.

      @@RebuildingHomeWithJasmineRae I love to try new things and think outside the box. So if they are cheap knives I would try it out. I would be sure to use a good primer and I would personally try when I use them to keep the handles fairly clean and when washing not submerge the handles just wipe them. another idea is you could test the idea on a pairing knife from the dollar store or thrift store see how it does first.
