If you're able to visit Morgantown West Virginia, it's the Home of West Virginia University and Deputy Barney Fife of the Andy Griffith Show(Don Knotts) who also played Ralph Furley on Three's Company for those old enough to remember. Nick Johnson spent a day in Morgantown last year.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Pembroke, Virginia, visit Cascade Falls and take a nice walk to the waterfalls. the fresh air and hike will do ya good! while filming! Take a picnic lunch nothing fried though it will slow you down. Enjoy the sunlight through the trees and the brook babbling along the rocks...lovely!
West Virginia, Almost Heaven...Country Roads take me Home...where's that song?????WVA has places of much beauty but a lot of pockets of poverty. There are a few millionaires who built in WVA....Paint Bank, WVA is an interesting place to visit...we used to call it no mans land but not so much anymore as it was but still somewhat. Harpers Ferry, WVA another place to see if you like. My kin are from WVA but I moved away... thought to move back but a 22 year vegan is kind of out of place though less so now than it was I guess. I grew up around the hunters...hated it told them it was wrong. The accent from WVA mostly comes from Irish-Scots...it does not sound like your attempt at all. There are many there who are simple folks but are very kind..they got the shaft in more ways than one (I knew older men who were made to work in the coal mines at 13 years old to keep the rest of the U.S. warm...died of black lung sadly) during the great depression and never recovered then drugs came in on top of bootleggin....it's sad but I am glad I grew up there....Pembroke, VA is a place you may want to visit and take the walk up the short trail to Cascade Falls it's beautiful. Also near Pembroke is a nice drive to Mountain Lake...parts of the movie "Dirty Dancing" were filmed there. Have a heart when you speak of WVA there will always be poor folks with us and as for me I love the Appalachian accent though mine has long since faded. Just driving through through and stopping for a meal you won't get much of an idea of the heart of the people there. I don't see a lot of what you speak of as "of what they show you". What you don't show I love like the mountains, the nature and such as a walk in the forest with fresher air. When I did move away though I went to college as an adult and received a Bachelor's degree (summa cum laude) so we are not dumb we just need a chance. I was the first one in my family patriarchal or matriarchal side to do so, others have done so since.
They could live in the hollers and fit right in...they have or seemed to have kindness for the poor and homeless they could move there and help them.West Virginia is the most obese state in the U.S..
Folks just hire hit men via the grocery stores to do the deed for them they don't want to actually kill the animals themselves. Out of sight out of mind. I told my dad this he raised cows and they were his friends when they were on his property but he could not kill his friends himself he sent them out to someone else to do that and they did not come back looking like his friends all wrapped in paper for the freezer. I said this to him when he gave me hell over being vegan and he never said another word about my diet choice. He was a hunter too...but see the ones he hunted he did not know personally.
Peter Santenello YT knows how to get in touch with the elements and nature of the people everywhere he goes he went to WVA and walked with the people...even a former coal miner who had black lung.
