Howdy yall 😍🤠! We moved to Martinsville VA from Dallas/Frisco TX 4 yrs ago and we love it! 💞🍃Absolutely Gorgeous here! Dick & Willie trail and Smith River recreational Complex are fantastic! We have a River drop in for kayaks, paddle boards etc. Can exit/enter rail trail from uptown for campfire coffee & avocado toast at the Ground Floor coffee shop and ride our bikes there from our front door. Love the skate park too! Oh ya, uptown hosts an awesome farmers market every weekend in summer too!
Every town in america has a little section of boarded up struggling houses. The locals have been nothing but kind, lovely, helpful and inviting for US. ❤ maybe u get what u give and you find what u seek? 💖

13:00 Virginia as whole is known for having some of the worst drivers. Nothing to do with drugs. Come closer to DC and it gets real bad.

I'm guessing that area once had manufacturing jobs. I blame our trade policies. At least you mentioned household size reduction.

It was one of the furniture and clothing manufacturing powerhouses until companies moved to China for dirt cheap labor.

Martinsville used to be beautiful, but they didn’t welcome non locals. People stopped moving in to area.

If you are more interested in blood and soil over dollars and cents, the fact that the immigrants are doing the work does not matter. Some value purity over wealth.

Oh i forgot to say..i live in west Virginia. Brad pasiy has a house in Lewisburg and alot of famous people have houses in Lewisburg. Amd jim justice has a house out there . And when you come back to Lewisburg you should check out the greenbrier hotel also. That where all the rich people go.

I was just looking at some dirt cheap land in Martinsville, VA. Ironically I have also considered a move to Mexico. I would argue the difference of a corporate manufacturing economy vs a retail economy. The dollar is also not what is used to be.

Mexico is very dangerous and states that are safe today can become absolute battlegrounds tomorrow. Today a state is calm and tommorow it becomes a battle field. The lifestyle you live in usa cost about the same down there.

13:06 I have family that still live in Martinsville, they use to be the nicest people you'd ever meet, then about 9 years ago they got pissed off at the world started using drugs mainly meth, and now if you so much as look at them sideways they'll pull a gun on you.

No, we were not. There was a pandemic, a stock market crash, recession and the printing of money that caused the inflation we had a couple of years later. Those are the analytics.

Pittsburgh would be a cool city to visit and Charleroi adjacent there that has been in the news lately due to the Haitian influx.
