  • While attending the (e)revolution electric bike show in Denver Colorado, I got to connect with Yamaha to learn more about their CrossCore RC electric bike. This ebike is a hybrid that works well in town and on light trails. It has lightly studded tires, but they also have reflective sidewalls. It has a suspension fork to help you maintain control and contact, and it can be locked out for efficiency. It also comes with 12mm thru-axles, powerful hydraulic disc brakes 180/160mms. There are two spots to mount bottle cages and other accessories, and mounting points for fenders and a rear rack. It comes in three color schemes, three frame sizes, has an integrated headlight, bell, and come with a three year battery warranty.

Looks very nice, my last Yamaha was an RD 250motorcycle back in the 80s , love the bronze colour!

3:38 the USB port is not for charging your phone or any other accessories, there is no power output from the port. it's used only for bike diagnostic tool.

Great bike, loving the range and comfort. Didn’t have to buy a new bike rack either, my Yakima hitch mount holds it fine.

Had no idea Yamaha were still in the e-bike motor market, let alone producing complete bikes. I haven’t seen a Yamaha powered ride for a few years, all Shimano, Bosch or a Bafang, Mahlevetc hub motor.

Giant (the largest bicycle manufacturer on earth) has been using them on every ebike they make for years…..

I have a Yamaha Civante e-bike and although the motor is reliable, the frame and the components have been causing me a lot of problems, Warranty support sucks and even Yamaha authorized bike shops all tell me that they don’t want to work on them anymore. I wish Yamaha would have better dealer support when things break. I won’t be getting another Yamaha e bike from them. I am really disappointed with their customer service and warranty support.

3039$ no mudguard, no rear lights, no luggage rack, too good for a product presented for the city, going to work or school. ROFL

Dude, are you sure that was Micro-USB and not USB-C?
    Micro-USB is kinda 2014 🧐

Yeah, pretty sure. I’ve noticed that many displays have been using Micro USB. The new Stromer ST7 has USB-C though. I put out a short review on it recently and the rep calls it out.

You know... call me spoiled... but when juiced still maintains a basic mountain bike with all of that... hub based motor.. for $1800... I scoff when everyone wants more. -_-

Yamaha is what I want. Plus, the bikes aren't painted black, which suck

I had a Yam motor on my last bike. Constantly cut out, error messages galore. Bike shop tried fitting a battery shim which never worked. Would never own a Yamaha e-bike again. Glad it got stolen so I went back to Bosch. $3100 for a city bike with no mudguards or a rear light? Gotta be having a laugh surely.

I have a Yamaha civante e bike and I absolutely hate it, it’s Been really unreliable and their “dealers” never want to fix anything under warranty. I am going to sell mine and never will be buying again from them again
