Just a lovely shotgun. This is the same model that I carried for years while hunting pheasant. Enjoyed everything about it, including the side safety. Mine had 26” barrels, choked with improved cylinder/ mod. Barrels patterned well at 40 yds.
@@1dravano Yeah the quality and fit is exactly what made me pounce on this one. Good SxS's are often overlooked nowadays most people going for the U/O shotguns.
@@1dravano Yeah quality and fit is exactly what had me sold on this one. A good SXS can be had quite cheap around here. The trend is more for U/O shotguns or cheap lever actions.
Iirc, officially the safety on the left side instead of the top tang left more wood in the head and wrist of the stock and was therefore stronger. Unofficially it was a slight deviation from the Ansen and Dealey patent so Greener didn’t have to pay a shilling a gun to Westley Richards

Thankyou very much. I often question myself on weather I deserve such a nice old gun 😁
My fav guns of all time! Every grade are brilliant game guns!
Used in Tombstone gunfight, a Greener 10g made in UK
Cool. I know a 10g was used, never knew that it was a Greener.
@@LtFrankDrebbin Greeners were real good, today they're worth a lot in USA for quality and Doc Holiday used one

Old is gold 💖
Brilliant ✌️😎
Another beautiful old gun. Remember I’m just a dim witted American. I’m assuming that is the safety on the left side? I didn’t see one on the tang?
Yes, you are correct. The safety is on the left. Seen @ 2:18
