Grovekeeper Topoda (No Damage) in Another Crab's Treasure

- Defeating Grovekeeper Topoda without taking damage (either health or shell damage). I fought him as the 8th boss (after Heikea). Beating him lets you upgrade adaptations and teaches the mantis punch to break cubes around the world.
This guy hit like a truck and his crush moves were a one-shot for me (I only have 15 VIT from one bloodstar but otherwise leveled ATK) so I switched to two pufferfish stowaways (+10 ATK and -20 DEF each, making normal attacks one-shot me too) and went for the crab hammer since that was available outside.
His normal moves can be kind of weird because sometimes they overshoot you so your parry misses (or he moves past so you can't riposte). Or sometimes his move just comes up short from hitting you. The big thing I learned is his multi-punch attack always follows up with a swing and the iframes from riposte don't last long enough to not be hit by that final swing. For his big crush moves you want to roll as the sound cue for him re-appearing is midway through to ending and that lets you consistently avoid the attack (but on a rare occasion it would bug out and I wouldn't get the audio cue and his reappearance would be delayed which would usually result in being hit and dying).

I love the humor of this game, you are wearing a crab while weilding an identical crab on a stick for a weapon.

What would make it perfect is if the boss was also a crab because then you’d have a crab wearing a crab hitting another crab with a crab.
He even moves like a boxer, that's pretty cool.
This was the glitchiest, hardest, and coolest boss fight in the game for sure. I legit glitched through the floor, behind the purple cube, and at some point couldn’t even attack fighting this guy 😅 but his character design and voice is the coolest

In one of the fights, he punched me so hard that it sent me all the way up there and got me out of the water, and he teleported up there and started DBZ combos in mid-air. It was awesome!

Man, this turned out to be a fun boss. As someone who's shit at normal parrying, I knew dodging about wasn't gonna leave a dent in this guy. I actually took some time to practice parries, and study his move set a bit closer since he moves so swiftly. I was anticipating a Mantis Shrimp so much in this game and they did not disappoint with this guy.

If you aren’t the best as deflection his attacks just use the decoy ability to trick him into attacking it.

I'd have to check at home for what my PC specs are but my laptop is 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H 2.70 GHz, 16GB of RAM, and a Nvidia GeForce RTX3060. I use my laptop a lot for recording stuff and at the moment HK mods seem to be busted on my home PC so any mods I've been playing on have been on my laptop.
And yeah, this is so far a fun souls-like with a bit more goofy humor and colorful setting.

the player starts off with a wild sanduster, but Topeda DODGES the attack! He uses his long, hard tail, but the player dodges as well!
Topeda gos for a clam jab, but the attack is countered by the player landing a eyestalk punch!
Ooh, topeda got struck by another wild sanduster! Avoiding the Coconut crab grab, Topeda takes minor damage!
