I loved every episode of Moon Knight so far (and 95% of reactors I watch did too; rotten tomatoes scores are still holding at 87% review and 93% audience). But strictly for me, the cross of superhero action with psychological thriller, a hint of horror and Egyptian mythology all combines to make sweet succulent candy! Love the suit, love the esotericism (Ethan Hawk’s Arthur Harrow is mesmerizing), love the Steven (sad puppy faced) character and love the multiple personality dynamic (Oscar Isaac is crushing it in each role and really sells the confusion, anger, elation, depression of each moment)
Ok… you finally broke me with your adolescent humor! “We are not starting out that early!” “Ok it’s too early I know…… hope you like it raw!” I’m dead!! 😂😂😂

Just a quick heads-up: people with DID don't have multiple personalities, they have multiple "alters", that's the appropiate term and since this series have brought so much discussion on the topic everyone is getting informed (including angry internet people), and besides, it is the correct way to refer to them With that said, welcome back guys, hope you are doing fine, good luck with the internet problems
I think he’s Oscar is underrated as well however glad that he’s been getting all these roles in so many films lately with starwars, X-men, now this! Genuinely makes me happy for him:)
They make it pretty clear in this series that there are superpowers involved, but what was cool to me about the originl comics was that there was always a slight implication that Khonshu might be a delusion as part of his DID. Speaking of Split, you guys should do Unbreakable and Split sometime.
split is sadly the hollywood mental disorder standard. which personally annoys me how often mental disorders are portrayed very stereotypical. but hey what can you do
I'VE really liked Moon Knight. It's probably my favorite of the Disney+ Marvel programs so far. I talked to all of my friends about it who are in their 40s and 50s and asked them about it and which Marvel show on Disney+ they liked best and I think I got evenly mixed answers between WandaVision, Hawkeye, Loki, and Moon Knight.
I'm really digging this show, but so far I've still got wandavision on top, then Loki, then probably this one, then Hawkeye, then cap winter soldier I've liked both Mandos best of all tho
I don't understand why so many people don't like TFATWS especially older people I understand that some younger ones didn't understand like me it took me longer, but it's interesting shows how world is after blip and we can finally see happy Bucky
Great to finally see you guys reacting to this show, as this show is very special to me because I myself am an Egyptian and this show really shines light on our Egyptian myths and the scenes of the country are also somewhat accurate so are the actors and the credit music

I've been waiting for this one! The show handles moon knight's character and DID so well! You guys are gonna enjoy it so much! Side note however: People who have DID prefer if you use the term "alter" over "personality" 👌
Jen’s English accent is actually getting a lot better. She really just has one or two words that seem to slip into more Canadian, but overall it’s pretty good
@@rroselandd I saw the movie Yoga Hoosiers which has Kevin Smith’s daughter and Johnny Depp’s daughter as Canadians tending a Connivence store. Through much of the movie they are saying “Sorry Bout that” for all this mistakes they do. It was so annoying.
Pretty sure that this show is actually pretty true to how DID manifests. Also, not sure if you realized it, Marc seems to be the primary personality, Steven is the one that "split".
As someone who knows DID like the back of my hand, this show so far has shown a decent understanding of it. DID comes from trauma (mostly childhood trauma) and I’m pretty sure that Marc/Steven got it from a military operation that scarred him deeply. Also, “personalities can often find it offensive or degrading to be called such so we refer to them as “Alters”
@@QuanTumm1357 I agree! The only thing I've seen the show "mess up" on is how Marc can control the body (punching Steven in the face in episode 4) when he's not fronting. I think he might've also gotten it from an event earlier in his life relating to his childhood (I believe there's a comic run where he gained DID because he lived in a Jewish community where a neo nazi infiltrated and murdered a good number of people infront of Marc)
It isn't. In confirmed cases of DID, one of the hallmarks is that the Prime personality is never aware of any of the alters, whereas the alters are aware of each other and the prime personality. In cases of DID, the prime personality just loses blocks of time.
@@Rated314 yeah I also heard that. But we could also assume that every personality disorder case is different Not to mention that the guys is possessed by a god. Mr. Knight looked awesome in this episode. Another great episode. The back and forth between Steven Grant and Marc Spector was my favorite part of this episode. Khonshu looks terrific in this series. Arthur Harrow is a great villain. I love the visuals in this show. Arthur Harrow being a former avatar of Khonshu was an excellent twist. Arthur Harrow roasting Khonshu was cool-blooded. I'm also enjoying this show. I loved the interaction between Steven Grant and Arthur Harrow in this episode. Khonshu has no chill. Another thing I loved about this episode was Layla and her interaction with Steven Grant was fun to watch.
5:18 "I don't wear white to hide myself. I wear it so they'll see me coming. So they'll know who it is. 'Cause when they see the white, it doesn't matter how good of a target I am. Their hands shake so bad, they couldn't hit the moon." - Moon Knight/Marc Spector/Steven Grant/Jake Lockley
It’s so awesome to hear how much hard work Holden puts into his Chanel…love the reaction always looks forward to seeing new vids, THANK YOU HOLDEN AND JEN!
"Are you telling me that before the date ... there was no text correspondence?!" - This cracked me up hard, man. :D :D Generally speaking this is not how Europeans treat dates. You set a date or appointment with someone - it's a promise and you stick to it. Those who tend to text before the date are, to say the least, impossibly annoying. There is literally no reason to check with the other person, if one of you can't make it, he/she would call and tell the other anyway.
The DID is actually well portrayed so far. It's not really hard to do when the vast majority of DID in media is abyssimal representation. It's almost always to create a cheap plot twist in a thriller/horror and there's almost always the "evil" alter that does crime for fun. One of the reasons why it's so great to have Moon Knight on-screen is that they can finally take the time to portray that disorder properly. We get to know each alter as *people* instead of tropes. Loving both Marc & Steven is awesome. Of course with egyptian gods in the mixt there's supernatural elements to take into account. So I'm fine with the DID not being completely accurate, and the Marc system being able to do things with their DID that normal people with DID wouldn't be able to do - just by the fact that Khonshu took residence in their mind. And both in the comics and the show it is established that Khonshu is...not great with his avatars and kinda mess them up psychologically. So what I say usually is that Marc's DID preceded Khonshu and is a normal mental illness (i.e not supernatural in nature) and then Khonshu came in and made Marc's mental health even worse. There's actually a person with DID who reviewed the first 4 episodes of Moon Knight and they said it was a pretty accurate portrayal. I recommend checking out their video!
If your landlord told you that the ISP would be able to serve you, then you have cause to break the lease and can sue them if they don't let you out of it.

As a Moon Knight fan, I have been loving this overall. Especially after episode 4. The Spotty VFX and CGI until we see episode 5 have had a reason to look shitty
Lmao the episode 4 ending plot twist is not why the CGI quality was underwhelming, it’s because they rushed the VFX artists to get this show into a Q1 release.
@@superheroedits1315 there’s some dialogue referring to how shitty the effects in the movie Marc was constantly watching in the asylum. I have hope that the shitty CGI and VFX were purposeful.

Can i just say its really nice how Jen has opened up as a Co-host of this show as opposed to feeling like the guest before with holden leading. Personally with oscar isaacs english accent, its just a little too over the top in general conversations but it works. The crazy thing is he has to play off him self and act across from himself in the series in two different accents sometimes back to back. its impressive
I've never disliked one of your videos until today. It was clear that you were not watching the episode and more concerned about what was happening around you. Jokes about your own lives are one thing to have during a conversation with other people, but if this was truly to be a reaction to the video you are watching, you need to be reacting to the acting, story, effects, and information being presented on screen. I hope this improves for episodes 3 & 4 when you realize that you missed so much important information.
I was screaming during the reaction....I felt like they really missed some amazing acting by Issac. And all the sex jokes are making me roll my eyes at this point.
I heard that they purposefully pulled back on the MCU references and tie-ins so the show could be more standalone, which so far has done the show well in my opinion
17:50 - A slow start is not a problem. It helps to establish and ground the characters and the current context. It gives time for the viewer to get familiar with the characters. Not everything has to straight to a 100Mph because it's a comicbook series.
Because of this series, Moon knight has become my favorite character in the MCU. It’s sooooo good and Oscar Isaac’s acting is incredible and he is perfect for this role.
Yeah. I'm really enjoying it too. But I think I'm not going to get too attached They're calling it a "limited" series, meaning there's no plans for a season 2, it's a compete story with a beginning middle and end. Well there may be no plans for a season 2... Because maybe a second season isn't... Possible. For whatever reason.
I know you probably get a lot of comments about this but I wanted to point out that Marc suffers from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) which is a real life condition. Steven would be one of his "alters" or personalities (which is kind of an outdated term) and the show does a pretty good job handling this! I would still encourage you to look into DID on the side because it's really misrepresented in a lot of media and commonly misunderstood! A good resource is Anthony Padilla's "I spent a day with people with multiple personalities (Dissociative Identity Disorder)! It's where I was first introduced to the condition! The show seems to be headed into deeper discussions of it in episode 5, so I figured it might also be useful to know more about it because of that!
There is a lady on UA-cam that has DID and is commenting on how the show handles it that is pretty interesting. A psychologist also has a channel that she talks about how DID is being handled in the show. So far he does display how people have memory loss and disorientation really well. You will see something soon as to how alters are treated intern to what they call the system. The show caused me to do some research and I think I have a better understanding about DID but so much more to learn.
I wouldn't worry about the "twitter people". They always have a hissy-fit, you could post like the most wholesome cat/dog meme and they'd try to cancel you.
I swear, every reaction to moon knight that i have seen the reactors have said they wanted to visit egypt when they saw the mini pyramid in the museum.
The consistency with which you attend to your channel and provide us lucky people quality content is astounding given all the challenges you've disclosed to us. Super well done with your dedication. We don't deserve you.
I'm loving this show for the WTF vibe it has. It keeps you guessing and isn't afraid to get weird and bizarre. It's another example of Marvel taking things outside of their comfort zone.
Exactly. For all this talk that Marvel is "formulaic", their whole foundations were laid out outside of their comfort zone. Banking on what was considered C-list characters? A shared and interconnected universe across several movies with an almost daunting scope, and always keep it coherent? Trusting the audience to accept things like a talking raccoon and a monosyllabic tree uma big budget release? And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
You did a great job with the pre-recording and setting up the backlog for us. No hiccups or lapse in content that I noticed. Moon Knight is turning out to be a great series. Oscar Isaac is an absolute gem in this role.

Ur theory sosny mąkę sense unless mark knew Laylea when there were kids lol
“We are not starting out that early!”
“Ok it’s too early I know…… hope you like it raw!”
I’m dead!! 😂😂😂
@@kristianberg4264 then I guess I’m a 40-something twelve-year-old. Jenn knows her accents are terrible. These are two genuinely good people trying to entertain us. I look forward to every post
@@kristianberg4264 keep crying
HOLDEN THOMAS HARDMAN!!!!!
Matt should start a new series “my friends without internet watch for the first time”
Just a quick heads-up: people with DID don't have multiple personalities, they have multiple "alters", that's the appropiate term and since this series have brought so much discussion on the topic everyone is getting informed (including angry internet people), and besides, it is the correct way to refer to them
With that said, welcome back guys, hope you are doing fine, good luck with the internet problems
I'm from London and I can't tell u that Oscar he is killing that accent it's spot on not many American actors can do it that well.
"we get it you don't have internet, suck a d.. bleep"

@@iCyberDev thank-you 🤗🤗
I think he’s Oscar is underrated as well however glad that he’s been getting all these roles in so many films lately with starwars, X-men, now this! Genuinely makes me happy for him:)
They make it pretty clear in this series that there are superpowers involved, but what was cool to me about the originl comics was that there was always a slight implication that Khonshu might be a delusion as part of his DID. Speaking of Split, you guys should do Unbreakable and Split sometime.
split is sadly the hollywood mental disorder standard. which personally annoys me how often mental disorders are portrayed very stereotypical. but hey what can you do
They already did a video on unbreakable. They haven't done split or glass unfortunately
...and Glass. The best in the series. Ahem.
@@RevRyukin7 That's very debatable if it's the best of the series but I respect your opinion
I'm really digging this show, but so far I've still got wandavision on top, then Loki, then probably this one, then Hawkeye, then cap winter soldier
I've liked both Mandos best of all tho
I don't understand why so many people don't like TFATWS especially older people I understand that some younger ones didn't understand like me it took me longer, but it's interesting shows how world is after blip and we can finally see happy Bucky
Great to finally see you guys reacting to this show, as this show is very special to me because I myself am an Egyptian and this show really shines light on our Egyptian myths and the scenes of the country are also somewhat accurate so are the actors and the credit music
I'm so sorry you guys have been struggling with this whole internet nonsense. I'm praying you find a great new location to FINALLY settle down and a) have a great place to live as a newly married couple, and b) be able to continue producing this great content. You guys rock, and it will get better - hang in there.
I've been waiting for this one! The show handles moon knight's character and DID so well! You guys are gonna enjoy it so much! Side note however: People who have DID prefer if you use the term "alter" over "personality" 👌
Jen’s English accent is actually getting a lot better. She really just has one or two words that seem to slip into more Canadian, but overall it’s pretty good
It is better than hearing Johnny Depp’s daughter speak with a Canadian accent.
@@biguy617 hey what's wrong with a Canadian accent? :(
@@rroselandd I saw the movie Yoga Hoosiers which has Kevin Smith’s daughter and Johnny Depp’s daughter as Canadians tending a Connivence store.
But we could also assume that every personality disorder case is different
Not to mention that the guys is possessed by a god.
Who cares if it's accurate if it fits the story? It's not like people complained about Fight Club or Me Myself and I (or whatever that movie was called)
@@Pir-o these things matter.
UK here - his accent is spot on.
Loving the series so far. Ethan Hawke based his character off of David Koresh (Branch Davidians, Waco), and I think he does an amazing job acting like a cult leader.
I'm here for Jen's british accent tbh lol great reaction guys sorry to hear about the internet troubles
That was really stingy of the people to lie to you about the ISP situation in order to rope you into signing the lease. Hope there is some sort of legal action you could take against them because they have essentially cost you guys a lot of money. Anyway, glad you both are back, we missed you! Hope you had a great honeymoon :D
❤️❤️❤️
Hughes Net.... the dinosaur of modern day ISPs. They literally focus on under served regions so they can have lots of mini monopolies to overcharge for their slow and crappy service.
Y'all are the best! Hope the wedding and honeymoon went well. I appreciate y'all sharing your lives with us. Hope the internet problems end soon. Also, were you planning on watching Stranger Things? The new season comes out end of next month along side Kenobi! ✌🏽♥️
the most unrealistic thing in this show is the fact that a gift shop employee could get such a big apartment in London
It’s his Mom’s flat, or so Steven thinks.
Back again you guys love the title sequence hope you too enjoy this series. Huge love and support from the UK your videos make my week. 🤣 Sorry about the interent also.
The fact he called moon knight white batman. He pissed off so many people lmao. (Comic crazies hate it when people say it)
I mean it's an accurate description if you compare them very superficially but not much else.
A more accurate description would be that moon Knight is kinda like Indiana Jones and the mummy rolled into one
I recommend checking out their video!
these two are quite stupid to understand all this :)
If your landlord told you that the ISP would be able to serve you, then you have cause to break the lease and can sue them if they don't let you out of it.
Listening to Jens accent is the highlight. It's a slow process Jen ,but practice makes perfect. Hi from Yorkshire UK.
As a Londoner Jen’s accent hurts me but I rate the effort 😂
I love getting a notification from Holden
Jen: "NOT SWEET MARY"
Big Dick Holden: "A lot of people called her Sweet Mary"
Me: Dead on the floor
These two are in for one hell of a ride!!
I’m sure someone said it but don’t forget to look for the QR codes in the first 2 episodes
I think Holden’s luck with Jen balances out his luck with everything else
RIGHT?
This channel is awesome!!! From the content to the editing, From the vibe to Jen and Holden personality.
Big big shout out to the editor. For the bleeping 🤬, the thought bubbles 💭 and the dramatic sound effects of Jen's "Holden Thomas Hardman! " This is absolutely gold. Always looking forward to your channel! Keep killing it. 😊💯
Jen's "Posh English" accent isn't that great... but it's perfect for a drunk Geordie.
That new opening graphic is dope, and its even funnier out of context.
Great reaction guys. After four episodes this is now my favourite MCU tv show. As a native of North London I think Oscar Isaac pretty much nailed the Estuary Accent (although not quite as much as Jen has 😱). Just one thing Holden, please please please don't let the 'I'll repeat everything Steven Grant says in a really bad British accent' thing become a trope of your Moon Knight reactions as it's giving me a nose bleed. I understand you're envious of your dear wife and her Professor Higgins like language abilities but cease & desist...before it's too late. 😉😊🥰

Watching the intro, thank you for your contributions guys. Sorry for the tough road for uploading and the internet issues. Sending good luck your way and congratz!
@@zerotohero1483 they definitely weren't. I also dont think the plot twist is that simple that *SPOILERS*

❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've never disliked one of your videos until today. It was clear that you were not watching the episode and more concerned about what was happening around you. Jokes about your own lives are one thing to have during a conversation with other people, but if this was truly to be a reaction to the video you are watching, you need to be reacting to the acting, story, effects, and information being presented on screen. I hope this improves for episodes 3 & 4 when you realize that you missed so much important information.
I was screaming during the reaction....I felt like they really missed some amazing acting by Issac. And all the sex jokes are making me roll my eyes at this point.
You guys must LOVE the Stargate movie/show. It’s packed with mostly Egyptian lore but also peppers in other Earth mythologies
I totally relate to bad luck.
In fact I think my luck could be way worse than Holden's.
But I think I'm not going to get too attached
They're calling it a "limited" series, meaning there's no plans for a season 2, it's a compete story with a beginning middle and end.
Well there may be no plans for a season 2... Because maybe a second season isn't... Possible.
For whatever reason.
Not yall making joked through the sad parts😐
I went to the that museum this week with my gf over bank holidays. It’s huge & 100% worth a visit if you go london.
Gotta disagree with Jen, the scenes of him being disorientated and not knowing what's going on is key to the character.
We appreciate you Holden for trying so hard to bring us content! Hope you get your stuff settled soon
Kinda felt like you talked over so much dialogue
Holden goes so hard this whole reaction.. wish he was like this every single video alllllll video long..
I need a compilation of Jens British accent 😅
Already excited for this one moon knight has been the best Disney plus show in my opinion so far
i missed y’all’s content so much 😭😭 my family…
I really like how the narrative starts in Steven's eyes. Like the audience knee just as much as he did.
I hope your internet situation gets better and it’s not too much of a headache, I love your content!
Omg you finally starting it!
*Me in my corner watching almost every reactions to that show I can find*
Technically speaking the Egyptian myths has already been introduced into the MCU, as Wakanda worships the Goddess Bastet who is Khonshu's sister
With his accent it’s definitely one of the better ones I’ve heard you can tell he’s putting it on but still very good
There is a lady on UA-cam that has DID and is commenting on how the show handles it that is pretty interesting. A psychologist also has a channel that she talks about how DID is being handled in the show. So far he does display how people have memory loss and disorientation really well. You will see something soon as to how alters are treated intern to what they call the system. The show caused me to do some research and I think I have a better understanding about DID but so much more to learn.
Yeah brai.DID something.
I wouldn't worry about the "twitter people". They always have a hissy-fit, you could post like the most wholesome cat/dog meme and they'd try to cancel you.

as someone living in the UK, I literally had to double check if Oscar Isaac was British or not. Accent was on point for me
I'm loving this show for the WTF vibe it has.
I'm from England and I still can't get over how good his accent is
You did a great job with the pre-recording and setting up the backlog for us. No hiccups or lapse in content that I noticed. Moon Knight is turning out to be a great series. Oscar Isaac is an absolute gem in this role.
