Great video… I love pallets and really like wood turning. I’ve been watching a lot of your older videos lately and figured that since this was a new one I should comment. Got out of it for a while but am thinking of starting back up. Looking forward to part 2. Thanks for sharing.
That looked more like sections of deckboard than a pallet slat. I made a new floating constellation of tea lights. It overcomes the issue of not all of them floating level and upright. Works pretty good.
That sounds pretty cool. You could send a picture to my email. These boards came from a pallet used to transport large 40 hp electric motors. Don't know why they rounded the edges for a pallet. They are nice boards though.
Keep them coming buddy. What I would say is that pallet wood in your part of the world looks to me to be of so much better quality than ours here in Scotland & the UK in general. 👍🏴
Always enjoy your YT videos. However, I was on a woodworking forum that addressed the use of pallet wood. A retired truck driver said to avoid pallets as he had seen over the years, all kinds of things spilled on them. One never knows what chemicals are present int he wood. My wife, at the time, was pondering some projects with pallet wood.
That's a good point. I always check the pallets. A lot of times you can see stains on the wood if stuff was spilled. I always look for clean one's. Thanks for pointing that out.
Great video how much do you sell those for at the craft fair.i am thinking about getting another lathe all my wood is free we live on 15 acres thank you
