Lucifers sarcastic lack of respect for Baltar was a great dynamic. Also memorable was his jealousy of the I-L series Specter in, "The Young Lords". Yet, Lucifer could be visually frightening when youre a kid, like when he was introduced in the Epilogue to "Saga of a Star World" with rhe drums & freeze frame. Great design, great character, great casting of Jonathan Harris 👍
I think the Imperious Leader shown only in the pilot episode "Saga Of A Star World" or in the theatrical movie release was scarier looking to me but Lucifer was the next scariest character. The Boray's shown only in one episode were kinda scary looking also. The Ovions may have been scary to some children also but I did not mind them.
There was something about the clear head and visible electronic brain of Lucifer which was grotesque and horrific in a way which C3P0 and R2D2 and Robbie the Robot, who also had a clear head and visible inner workings, could never be. Truly, a unique android design.
The oldschool books went into even creepier detail, explaining that as Cylons advanced through the ranks, they added additional *brains* to their skulls, eventually attaining the brains, title and position of Imperious Leader (hence the "I.L." series)! It's been awhile since i read them, but if i recall, Lucifer had *two* brains squirming around under that clear dome of his!!! 🧠🧠
"Excuse me, Mr. Kmart employee, I wish to purchase this fine Lucifer action figure. Here is a crisp one dollar note. I would like my change in the form of 2 nickels and two pennies. No dimes."
John Colicos and Johnathan Harris, that's one of the very best bad guy parings in all of sci-fi. I would want that BSG 2 pack of their characters(well sculpted of course).
I had that same thought too when I first saw Lucifer on screen the first time. I also had that same reaction when I seen those 3 black women singers with the doubled mouths that were singing that song in the pilot episode on the planet Carrilon.
A shout to this channel for their video on multiverse customs. I just my apllo, Starbuck, boomer, jolly, and Sheba figures. They are in the 3.75 scale and look great
First off I am a new Subscriber so, Howdy!👍😁 Toy Polloi a channel you may be aware of has a segment on “Frosting” you may want to check out. He will show you how to get rid of the mold on that carded figure.👍. I used to own many carded BSG figures a couple years ago including a Goldie and NM Baltar!😁 Great channel! Bill
I liked the goofy Lucifer dude. I think there were a couple of them, one was in charge of putting down some rebels on a planet, maybe the Ice Planet? Why did Mattel and others make so many "Muffit" characters in everything??? BSG would have done better just having the monkey inside the Muffit suit playing himself. Everybody loves Monkeys.
Just off the top of my head (and perhaps not 100% accurate then!), I think the boss on the ice planet was a golden dude named Vulpa, and the Lucifer-looking guy, who was on a marshland planet, was Specter. The episode might be called The Young Lords. I hope that helps! I might've got the names mixed up! 😆
@@battlestarcollectica7106 I think if I remember correctly in the pilot episode of the series on Caprica when the Cylon Raiders were shooting and destroying and killing the people and buildings on Caprica Boxey's actual dog got killed and they showed that part of a building fell and landed on the dog killing it. So that is why the show created Muffit the Daggit to replace Boxey's real dog. They showed a scene with the Galactica's scientist when he created Muffit and had Boxey work with him and his functions and Boxey loved Muffit ever since. So Muffit was actually created to replace Boxey's real dog that was lost in the Cylons raid on Caprica.
Dr Zachary Smith from Lost In Space was captured by the Cylons and turned into Lucifer. Facts! Lol At this point, anybody making Lucifer figures except Funko Pops has my money.

I agree 1000%! Still amazed at how much Glen Larson was able to get right!!

I agree! It really fascinated me as a kid!!

The Cyber-Controller from DOCTOR WHO's "The Tomb of the Cybermen" (1967) got there first.

Lol!!😂
😆
K Mart 88 cents lol
If we could only go back in time!!
I miss Kmart. Walmart sucks
The wave 2 figures didn't reach stores until after the series had been cancelled by ABC, so they pretty much went on clearance straight away.

We need new BSG figures! There is such great demand!! Thanks for watching.
Robots Rule: the only figures i have had since they came out are Lucifer, Cylon, and Daggit.
Robots are always high on my list as well! Thanks for watching!!
This character was an impossible task for the toy engineers. "His head does what?"
Lol! 😂
Great show thank you for the video i loved it thank you love you
Glad you enjoyed it
@@battlestarcollectica7106 No problem 🫰✅
Disco droid.
lol!!!
Even after all these years I still remember I had something of a "what the hell is that?" moment when Lucifer first appeared on screen.
I can remember my initial reaction was one of shock! So freaking cool!!!

I loved the Lucifer character. I loved his interactions with Baltar.
They made a good evil team! Thanks for watching!

Great stuff from a great company!!!

Muffit was supposed to be the R2-D2 of the show but it did not work out! He was actually being written out of the show!
Lost In Space just taped some giant ears onto their monkey and it worked just fine. Everyone loves Debbie, especially Penny!

@@peppermintspacecapsule9898 Yes, Specter is the dude I was thinking of. He was hilarious.

Our best hope was Super7 BUT after the failure of their Star Trek lines it is a hard sell!
Did you say "Sega of a star world"? It reminded me video games are another type of merchandise that Galactica has been severely underrepresented in.
I agree! Thanks for watching
Who has that Battlestar Bridge set? It was cardstock, and plastic, and was still available, IIRC.
I think it is sold out.
Subscribed!
Thank you!!
I actually prefer the Imperous Leader but Lucifer was a great villian too.
IL was cool but we hardly got to see him! Thanks for watching!
I have that action figure
I agree! Super cool!!
Love the channel! Do you have a Facebook page?
Working on the face book page. Stay tuned!
