If Jane Seymour had stayed on Battlestar Galactica the series may have made it to season two or three. Janes mistake in my opinion is that like Erin Gray she didn't realize how many people--especially young boys loved her on Battlestar Galactica. Missing things from Janes part in Battlestar Galactica... A really cool photo of her in her viper pilot outfit--with her laser pistol... I always wanted one of those. A totally realistic action figure of Jane / Serina in her warrior / Viper pilot outfit, and one of her character in her Caprica ensemble. They had a video game based on Battlestar Galactica a decade or so ago which was okay, but really needs to be redone with better graphics and an easier flight plan where you see yourself lauching out of the lauch tubes. Thd other missing feature is not having the ability to change characters--at least as far as the pilots go. You should be able to pick Apollo, Starbuck, Serina, Athena, Sheba, Boomer, Greenbean, Jolly, etc. Another product I've never seen is a t-shirt featuring Serina by herself as a journalist on Caprica, or as a cool viper pilot. The same goes for Athena, Sheba, Boomer, Greenbean, Jolly, etc. Lastly, when I was a kid I remember going to the mall and looking at the action figures for Christmas but the characters were of a poor quality and did not look like the characters at all which hurt interest in the toys / collectables. Besides that, they missed creating more of the Battlestar Galactica characters. One more thing, Dynamite comics created a Battlestar Galactica comic book series decades after the original Marvel series, but the Dynamite series lacked consistency and the ability to subscribe to it on a yearly basis.

I like theese Konami battlestar models, I grew up watching the tv show I really miss all the actors they are all gone now!

1:49 For those that don't know the history : The Battle Star Galactica "Viper" toy with "shooting" missile on the front (the original full sized one) is why toys with this "shooting" projectile feature were changed to not actually shoot or fully release the "missile" (or other projectile). A child put the front of the "Viper" in his mouth and shot the missile into the back of his mouth, and unfortunately choked to death. This is why the backpack missile on Boba Fett was glued in place. And also why the Matchbox version of the Robotech : "Macross" SDF - 1 spaceship does not have the mechanisms or missile features in the blank spaces where the original _Super Dimension Fortress Macross_ SDF - 1 from Takatoku had. It was indeed a "safety issue" that no toy company could afford to get sued over.

Serina's death was a very powerful scene that benefited the show. The actress was never going to agree to being a recurring character anyway, so nothing was lost.

I read Seymour was dissapointed her character wasn't more like the newswoman played by Jane Fonda in THE CHINA SYNDROME, which was how it was originally described to her. She also felt her best acting moments ended up being lost when the subplot about her illness was cut, which left her looking dewey-eyed in her scenes with Apollo, without the original explaination that she was secretly aware she was dying.

I still hurts me every time I watch her death scene. I really like Jane Seymour. I wish she would have stayed on the series. Richard Hatch and Jane Seymour had wonderful chemistry together.

OMG! I never knew that the 12 telemovies were ever released in the UK (although I'd been aware of them for decades from the Starlog article). I wonder how that got under my radar. I would have have snapped those up at the time had I known, they probably cost a fortune now. I only saw 9 of them for the first time a few weeks ago on the internet. Still haven't found the other three (Living Legend, Greetings from Earth, and Experiment Terra). Crudely made but interesting, they play somewhat like fanedits.

Because being a regular in a scifi show is your last paycheck this side of infomercials. Especially one as bad as that. Sorry, we hated it growing up, we turned on Speed Racer or Star Trek reruns on UHF. The reboot is fantastic.
