My 600-lb Life is an American reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds (270 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss. - Розваги

I get what you’re saying but these people are legit addicts. Addicts can make people’s lives hell if they don’t get what they want, even from a bed. The people of these shows fall into the vicious cycle of “keeping them happy”

If it's the same as in the UK then they probably get paid monthly, that money is supposed to LAST a month for groceries, bills ect. I STILL have no idea how they can have take out 2-5 times a day.

I am from Germany and have a question regarding the prices of fast food in the USA:
how expensive/cheap is some thing like Mcdonalds? or all the stuff he orders at minute 9:05 ?
A few years ago I was very overweight myself, around 550 lbs.
I was no longer able to work at that time and could only very rarely afford fast food because the huge orders cost almost as much as a whole week's food from the supermarket. And this despite the fact that we are much better protected (health care system) here in Germany than in the USA (as far as I know)
As someone who currently works at McDonalds something like that would at least be around $40+ (I could be wrong but it’s not cheap for sure)
Also it’s not cheap if ordering like that multiple times a day.

That one made me so mad! The smirk on her face when she finally admitted sneaking food into the hospital. Dr Now was so angry & Adult Protective Services wouldn't do anything when he called them. Aside from that, her ex husband thought he had biological children & that deception is evil by itself. Who knows if James was even the father. Yuk! I think she's maybe the most evil woman alive.
Not only is it DISGUSTING 🤮 the amount of food they eat, so are the family members that puts food in front of them to the point they can’t function independently. Can’t work, can’t walk, can’t & bathe to name a few. There is no way I would continue to feed them incessantly! This is a travesty. Have some willpower.
What they don't show is how much this food costs! How can they afford it? Who pays for it? Obviously can't work but they have a nice home and multiple kids. Who pays for all this? Government aid? People don't understand this food costs like 100grand a year. Let alone multiple kids too! One show did all this actually. Showed the cost. They took everything the person ate within 12-24hrs and put the exact food onto multiple tables. They needed like 3 tables to hold all the food. It was 100s of dollars a day they spent on food. One kept using credit cards, to then refinancing his home to pay for food for a year. He used equity and got 80-100grand. Which was supposed to upgrade and fix his home. Within a year he spent it on junk food. We see people super obese but they don't show the deep under layers of finances etc. Some spent $500 a day on food! Addiction runs rampant in my family but I never understood food addiction. Food costs more then drugs!

Heres what gets me...Dr Now tells them they have to lose a certain amount of weight loss in order to get the surgery, and they literally do just that. So that lets me know they can lose weight without the surgery!! Well why cant they just keep doing that instead of the surgery...idk

interesting to see that some of the people caring for their overweight wife, husband, brother, sister or family member are almost as overweight as the person they are caring for. I had a weight lose by-pass back in 2015. I'm now 117 lbs & very happy. Went from size 24 to 2/4 pants. However kinda funny... while I'm either making food or eating I am thinking of the next meal. Mostly because I always consider what I want with preparing it. I feel so sorry for these people. I can understand never feeling full but after the by-pass I was full with 3 or 4 bites. Ha, if I eat to much my nose runs & runs... if I take the 'one last bite' I'll sneeze around 13 times... very strange
