sigh this has been me since the age of 17 after someone in the family became sick...my academics, social life, and the perceived quality of life suffered....after finding some energy, as i didn't want to waste the precious life my parents have given me, I have finished school and found a successful career....managed to back to school to obtain my doctorates...but I can't help but feel unmotivated and burnt out as I did since 12 years ago....sigh...I have spent the entire winter break in the house, just watching netflix, youtube, wasting time, instead of working on becoming a better version of myself. I try, but its hard to function normally...I stay away from medications as they disrupt the normal equilibrium of neurochemicals in the brain...only thing I have is to stay in touch with the one and only father, Jesus christ, who will love me in any circumstance I am in and to listen to the spirit that guides me in the right direction.
I'm glad you still have something to keep you going! It surely isn't easy. I, myself, feel like the emptiness never truly goes away; but I've learned that there are ways to deal with it and make it a little less unbearable. You've got this.
