Thanks for sharing this show. I attended the show from the start until 2002 when I moved away from Charlotte. I still attended the show and in fact had my best show ever as a vendor at that show. I had planned to attend this year but leg surgery kept me home. Saw a number of folks I know.
What ever happened to Clarence Young?? I sold him some promos years ago and took them to his house. Lost track years ago.

Picked up one of those Cudas last year from KDog! Fun show!!
I got there early and paid for floor rights. Sold all but four of the kits I brought and only spent $60 of my profits. I was done and probably headed back to Durham by the time you got there.

I'm not positive that was it, but I think I saw the first model I ever built, the MPC Deora. It might not have been that, but I do remember it had a funky shape. I brush painted it with Testors Copper Enamel. Lol! Man I wish we had something like this closer to me. Can't wait to see what you brought home. Peace and love.

back when i lived with my Dad in Lexington (near High Rock Lake) i went Skateboarding a few times in Salisbury because the other skaters said they don't care if you skate just as long as you don't hurt anyone. That was late 80s/early 90s
