Is Cologne a city for you?
Can you stop using generative AI for the thumbnails? They are really uncomfortable IMHO.
I lived most of my life close to Cologne and still spend a lot of time there. I don't want to leave - sometimes Cologne can be a bit dirty and ugly but it depends on the district and the relaxed, open-minded attitude and the scene-life make up for it; plus, my friends live in the area. Too bad I didn't see you when you visited; would have loved to talk to you.
It's Berlin☝️ 😛
Being proud of homosexuality acceptance is a bad thing for a society 👎 this should not be considered in the ranking of "sexuality open"
@@Frivals whats your problem?
If Everybody would nice to each other, there would be no war hate etc.
You're just a frustratet person ... it is not your business
Sexually liberated is not the same as sexually active. In other words, an average guy can't just go to Cologne and expect to get laid easily.
If you drink no problem
Anyone can pay to have physical action but relationships are hard
So what's it's sexuality open? Accepting homosexuality? 🤦♂️
@@Frivals That's exactly what it means they're open to LGBTQP+ 😬

quite interesting! thanks
Very nicely done 👍🏽
Really interesting video....gracias!
Interesting video
Looks like I'm headed to Cologne Germany 😂. Marina you are really out here putting us on. Thanks gurl!
I am curious what all of the population of Cologne think rather then just unmarried young people.
We could start off by asking their (the people interviwed by the Russian woman) parents for example on what they think about their children choices. 😆
Most likely it's like how the rest of germany in 1920's saw the weimar republic.
@marina: the red live district where you have been is the student quarter hahah
Noo way. It was the red light district on Google maps 😲
@@DatingBeyondBorders don't worry. But here is not a real red light district. But we have the biggest brothel in europe, it is called "Pascha"
Been to cologne couple of times, night life was good but nothing to really write home about
I've been there. But I was on my way to somewhere else. Some people in the outskirts did lodge me. They were so nice. I walked around and people talked to me. Once a German girl on a bike we just exchanged a quick look from a distance and she was talking to me before I finished to think 'too bad I am not on a bike'. Something similar happened at a comic book shop another girl. I was so naive. And stupid. Well for a nerd I was way beyond but lost many chances. Now it all makes sense.
This video popped up in my feed during a 3 hour rehearsal, and BassLab--my favourite brand--is German. Also Cologne is along the same line as Amsterdam on my Astrorelocation TAU Moon-IC. So "slowly growing nearer to the time...a sign" -Greg Lake
There is a lovely song about Cologne on Goldfrapp's best album 'Seventh Tree'
Anyone else interested in this topic purely out of sociological curiosity?
✋️
what exactly do you mean ?
No it’s definitely not for me. I like law and order
I'm texting my German friend right now from Dortmund and see if she agrees with your video. She is very candid whenever I ask her opinion so it would be interesting to hear her feedback.
so how did it go? dont leave a cliff hanger ;)
@@remyzzzzz She doesn't agree. She said the UA-camr's opinion was just her opinion and not of the average German. It really depends on who ask. For sure, she said, Cologne is not the most liberal city in the world.
@@darwinmendoza7061 I was reading about that because in many ways they still have a very "catholic" mentality in some of the population there. Since its predominantely Catholic there. So in other words a bit conservative. I found that pretty interesting.
"Forget about brazilian carnival" Are you nuts?! NOTHING compares to Brazilian carnival, honey
People in Brazil are still traditional in the end.

I've been to Thailand this year and to be honest Phuket and Pattaya are FAR more welcoming than any European city could ever be. And I think it has to be because of the Buddhist background contrary to the Christian background most European cities have.
Definitely - or any major city Japan, South Korea, etc.
that is a good point!
I don't think it's just Buddhism, I think it's the specific Thailand brand of Buddhism
Probably because they're hotspots of sex tourism.
@@nabilrise1551 They also like our foreign exchange!
Cologne probably wouldn't even be in the top 20 in europe.
What world be some of those cities according to you?
Imagine all this taking place in Kabul, Tehran, Dagestan and Chechnya 😂
well, in 2050 those places will be forbidden anyway, since the Muslim population are increasing in Europe , no wonder they want to implement their laws and way of living..
Would be an interesting experiment 😁
Dagestan and Chechnya are worst than the other two. Kabul and Tehran have history and mysticism , the other two are just composed of mindless savages.
It would be a sign the world had changed for the better.
@@tj2375finally a reasonable comment
It's on my Astrorelocation TAU Moon-IC line, and close to Beethoven's birthplace, Bonn!
Your videos are all very interesting and informative…and I really like your presentation….so until next time …Alex🇬🇷
6:10 funny that you give a point against Berlin since almost all of my German friends have said Berlin is the friendliest city in Germany. Including those who moved to 'friendlier' cities like Cologne and Leipzig. Perhaps as a tourist Cologne is friendlier but after living in the city, Berlin definitely is friendlier.
Huh - interesting! Berliners have a reputation of being rude. Even if you google this topic you'll see Reddit comments on this and the experiences of your friends seem to be in the minority. But Berliners are laid-back and blunt, which is also a positive, so if we look at it this way, their experience might make more sense. I haven't lived there so can't say for sure.
Cologne is the friendliest City
@@DatingBeyondBorders yeah, it definitely makes a difference when you live in the city or not. Have definitely heard of Berlin's reputation for being rude but that's mostly been from English speaking sources. From German speaking sources, Berlin usually has a reputation of being nowhere near as blunt or rude as the rest of Germany. Even DW (a German media channel) released a video about this some years ago. It's a well-known stereotype in Germany that Berlin is so different from the rest of Germany that it's not considered as part of Germany by most Germans because of how quirky and friendly Berliners are to everyone instead of the stereotypical serious German. But Germans probably have a different definition of friendliness than everyone else.
Leipzig and Berlin are more "alternative", because they are in the East, but people in the western cities are more friendly and in my opinion Cologne has the coolest people in Germany, even though I like Hamburg the most, because I feel I fit there with my type of personality.
@@macroxela As a southeast European foreigner who has spent quite some time in Germany, I have to say that comparing friendliness in Berlin and in Cologne is almost useless... from my experience. People in Cologne were definitely the friendliest Germans I have ever met (e.g. friendlier and more easy going than people of Hamburg and those in southern Germany), while Berliners were less friendly, less polite, rougher and more aggressive than all of these.
To-do-me-do-me-do-me!
It sounds like to me the sexually liberated part is just one facet of Cologne, Germany as it sounds more like the most friendly & social city in Germany akin to places such as Osaka in Japan or the North of England etc
nah germany isnt that grweat
I hate sexual liberation, literally its the worst

@@Frivals excuse you but they are still people too who deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Just because you don't agree with their life style and you don't have to doesn't mean they deserve be to treated less than human.
@@michelleg7 No.
You are brilliant love
As far as the support for alternative dating preferences, i think that is a good idea to be accepting.
However, the research, my personal experiences with friends that are poly and seeing non poly people trying to be poly.. It's a bad thing to encourage or to see as an expected relationship type. It's a very hard thing to do in a balanced manner that supports the two primary partners. Frequently it encourages people to avoid work in relationships because they have options.
Can it work yes. Does it work on a large scale no.
Basically, it's not for everybody.
At the end of the day, everybody is different. so just have to know yourself and find what works best for you, and then find someone who is same basically.
And yes I think people need to be more open minded.
@@Bloodark124 I agree, however I find it concerning if what she stated that 1/3 of the german population finds monogamy outdated/polyam to be preferred.. that's a bit way to high for a general population given the interpersonal problems. When you're young, single (ok polyam.. so able to have more partners/non-married, and have no kids that's not a bad thing. But when you get into a formal committed relationship with kids+marriage.. it creates a lot of extremely negative externalities.
They are also very selfish people. Their main partner might know and be ok with the agreement but then they go look for other people and don't let them know they have a main partner.
When the 'side piece' knows and refuse to have anything with that person they are like 'Whats the problem?I'm in an open relationship and my wife/girl knows about it so you should be ok with me wanting to f.ck/date you on the side'.
White people polygamy - "open minded"
literally any other kind of polygamy - "backwards and oppressive"
how do y'all not see this contradiction???
@@shelbyspeaks3287Well it's different contexts. For a start polygamy is banned in most parts of the West. What you're referring to is Polyamory or open relationships. With Polyamory the focus is on multiple sexual relationships (but not too many), whilst open relationships focuses more on having hookups with different sexual partners. In the West the focus is on sexual liberation.
Polygamy is often associated with sexual exploitation and abuse of the wives.
Hence the bad reputation polygamy has in Europe.
I thought bangkok 😂
It looks dirty. The streets, the people, the atmosphere...it doesn't even have a tropical climate to compensate.
It's amazing how ppl put together facts 🙄
Cologne bus station bathrooms -- no running water -- will never return.
fantastico
Open relationships will produce broken lost children. In order to have a functioning society a strong family unit is necessary, because a family is what creates a society. A broken family with no regards to values will create a nation of broken character with no regard to values. A mother and father who is having affairs with random people will produce children who are unstable, hedonistic, and selfish. This will cause a degeneration of society. I am predicting what the future will look like if "hookup culture" and "open relationships" become more accepted. This is how the Roman Empire collapsed. The people were placated with cheap entertainment / hedonism. "Open relationships" are essentially a promise within a couple that both partners are unable to commit to each other and that they will pursue pleasure instead of just share in each others love even once the infatuation and excitement of the new relationship fades away.
1:31 the obligatory Eastern European, looking for jobs to steal in Western Europe 😂😂. Trust me, I know, I'm Eastern Europeans myself 👀😅
In the 90s and 2000s you could see many gay couples walking, holding hands together going in the streets of Cologne.
This isn´t the case anymore. Maybe a few people in the gay club areas, but others don`t do it anymore. It is too dangerous. There are many migrants from very conservative countries here, who don`t tolerate gay people, at all.
why do the assholes have to ruin things for everyone. ugh

Yes, youth may think so but .... how do you think you'll end up in your old days? For that you need TRUE LOVE and for true love you don't start one week or one month before ... it takes A G E S, a shared history, the most important facts of life: children, a family, parents and their old days, backing each other loyally through illness, alzheimer, expenses, unemployment, mortgages, education, debts and health issues in the old days.
