If you are a beginner at rod building it is difficult to find answers to simple questions like what thread size should I use on a feeder rod. This video gave me the answer. Thank you.
We recently bought some thread from our local tackle shop for replacing eyes on a beachcaster (daiwa paul kerry supercast) after watching this video on grades of thred we think we were given the wrong grade which is A, do we need to get garde C or D for a beachcaster? Many thanks
Hi, Im building a Daiwa supercast X at the moment, my 1st rod build. I'm using advice from the guys from Veals fishing here in Bristol, and they have supplied me with D size nylon made by Fishhawk. Apprarently its a bit easier to use than some of the smaller threads. Hope this helps!
stellacosworth Thanks for the reply, have now completed the rod whipped on 4 new eyes, after a bit more research we did need D thread, got some from another local tackle shop. Fished with the Paul Kerry a few times now Great Rod!
