There's an entitre Linkin Park EP that was the warm up to before the major album that was Hybrid Theory, and thats where And One is in.
But they lumped in the EP into the 20th anniversary Hybrid Theory release, which is both good and bad because theres a LOT of songs on those, (some unfinshed, some just instrumentals, lots of early versions of their big hits but named diffrent titles) and its probably overwhelming for thos who just wanted to hear some new unreleased songs from LP lol both the Meteora and HT 20th anniversary releases are like that and i question the decision often lol
But yes theres still a few from those releases that people will probably request. Stuff like Pictureboard, which despite sounding like it was recorded in a literal garage, is such a fucking banger. A song that was only rumored to exost for like 20 years until the HT anniversary bundle released. Probably one of the first things they recorded with Chester, testing out the dynamic.

This is from before Chester joined the band. And One was on Hybrid Theory EP released in 1999 when their name was Hybrid Theory. And One was the first song written after Chester joined the band.
I think it is Mark Wakefield doing the So far away. Mark Wakefield was the singer before Chester joined the band to replace Mark. Mark left the band because he had stage fright so bad that he was getting ulcers. So Mark and the rest of the band agree it would be best for Mark to step down as the lead singer of the band at the end of 1998. Chester joined the band in March of 1999.

Well, sorry to tell you this but the "1998" in the track title must be confusing you! The song is actually from 1999 and it is Mike singing with Chester doing backup vocals. Can be found on the LPU 12 CD (Brad described the track as a "foreshadowing of Shinoda's melodic facility"), also Mike talked about it on Twitch in 2020 (talkin about experimentation in the early days of LP, Mike singing, Chester rapping etc..)
