    ONCE AGAIN YALL KNOW WHAT IM HERE TO SAY.
    Alan, and Edge, is showing us why he’s known as the best in the business.
    I have a 2860rs on my Focus ST and have been tuned by Alan for over a year with ZERO issues. Countless track days and auto-crosses!
    If you want more power, stock spool, AND reliability, this is the best option on the market
    There is no price on peace of mind, and Edge ALWAYS delivers
    Kudos boys! 💯💯💯💯

      What kind of numbers are you making with that turbo compared to this gtx2860 gen 2. Do you have FBO? External or internal wastegate? Are you running wmi? I'm really interested in this turbo, the gt2860rs you have, the gtx2863r and the bnr2867... Im undecided at the moment. Thanks man.

      I'm looking to daily the car and track it maybe 3 times a year. Closed circuit. Not a drag strip. Maybe autocross. Not sure yet. I have FBO stage 3 with cobb ap. Thinking of wmi as well as the turbo. To give you an idea of what I'm thinking.

      @@keithr5591 I have the 2860rs....new one is 2860r (gtx) ... 2863r got replaced by the gen2 2860.... the BNR is a great option for the money however there were some fitment issues with the early models however I think they are past that now. You honestly can’t go wrong with either turbo. The BNR will make more power. How ever it’s a journal bearing. So if that matters to you get the Garret. Also, the BNR hasn’t been tested on track on this platform
      Anyway, I autox and track my car 2-3 times a month for the last year and a half with Alan’s tune. It’s flawless and he’s thorough af. Super responsive guy who pays attention to the details and still checks up on customers
      I check my spark plugs like every month and they are always flawless. I do a compression test about 2x a year and it’s flawless. I have 100k on this motor

    I am looking to do some simple tuning on the stock ST. Would you avoid a higher mileage car? I found a 16 ST that was used as a fleet vehicle with 111k miles, serviced regularly as well as gps monitored for speed from the company for a great deal. Would you avoid that type of car for stock tuning and daily driver? I want to park my f150 most the time.

    Could you realistically expect 100k miles of reliable daily driven miles out of one of these turbos on the stock block with RS injectors/ or stock injectors, or do you need a completely stock car if you want that kind of reliability out of a Focus ST?

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  28 днів тому

      100k is a lot, but not impossible. There are so many variables, and assuming your maintenance schedule is perfect, you could do it, but not if you are driving it hard. So if you aren't going to drive it hard, why upgrade?

Also running 2 catch cans and 1 step colder ngk plugs if that matters. Also will be running water meth with injector port on the cold charge pipe right before TB. Your not gonna be making much more than the 91 octane made. The e30 makes a big difference. Im on the stock turbo currently on e30. On 93 octane you'll make 270 hp and 350 tq. Add ethanol and you get a big boost in power to 292 hp and 388 wtq with a jst custom e30 tune. You'll probably only make around 5 maybe 10 more hp than 91 octane
