Kia has an interesting marketing strategy with the Sorento. The lower trims and engine are designed to compete with smaller/compact SUVs such as the RAV4 and Rogue, yet by adding a V-6 and premium interior features, they are aiming at the near-luxury market with the SX and SXL trims. I test-drove a used 2017 Sorento SXL AWD this weekend, and its interior was every bit as luxurious as my 2014 Avalon Limited. What I liked about that Sorento compared to a 2020 Grand Cherokee that I had rented a couple of months ago is that it didn't feel like a land yacht or barge; the GC felt way too big for just one passenger, which is what it would be used for 90% of the time or more. The Sorento with a V-6 offers a significant towing capability (5,000 pounds) but in a more compact package.
I have a 2017 I love this thing the size it is the gas mileage it gets is better then 2005 Kia Optima i turned in for it now it gets 3rd row standard with the seats down I managed to put in the back a washer machine and some other household products the TV so it's a nice size SUV now you put all the stuff in it I'm trying not to accommodate any more bills and just pay this one off but that thing is sharp the camera system being up high I hit a Park Boulder that keeps the cars off the grass if I had a camera I would have seen the boulder just a pop out dent in the rubber bumper though
Having multiple cameras comes in handy when parking in tight spots to ensure you are within the lines, particularly if you are driving solo without anyone to look out the other side. It's one of those features that you might pooh-pooh until you actually use it, and then you wonder how you ever lived without it.

Great video. How capable of towing are they? We’re considering a 21’ boat. Thanks!
well done. I really liked this one!
Argh! Why does the Canadian Sorento SXL include a CD player, but the USA version deletes it?
The US version has a CD player.
What a great review and I know great reviews... I've launched a new UA-cam channel with a new video coming in February 12. How fun!

Why do I need two cameras, or even one? Also, are people so lazy these days that they can't even open their own back door?
Open your back door? As you're putting your car in reverse?
