Drove one of these in Iceland in November a couple of years ago, I was very impressed, it wasn't at all incompetent either in the busiest shopping centre in Reykjavik either.
I've driven one of these machines and it was brilliant, great height , comfort and power......I drive different cars every day and the only vehicle that comes close is a seat Alhambra fully kitted . Awesome car and review 👌
@@scotiajinker8392 You need to wise up. RR are not well made and are not that reliable either. I've owned a Sorento (previous version) for 4 years and have had 4 years of completely trouble free motoring. Nothing has gone wrong, plus the first set of tyres lasted 36K miles. I also own a Mercedes and a Porsche and wouldn't hesitate in buying another Sorento as the family run around.
I’ve owned the car for a year now. I can most definitely say that if ur not planning on drag racing it or racing in general, then the diesel has more than enough grunt. All other times, it’s quite quiet if you have some music one and ur under 2.5 k rpm, it does around 7 l/100 km on highways and around 10 in traffic. Has plenty of torque all the way from around 1.6 k to 3.8 k. Way better than petrol in my opinion.
@@sahan2860 I would agree with you but in Europe after all thats happened with diesel emmisions being linked to cancer and some major cities looking at banning diesels entering them, and with car firms dropping diesels, sales of diesels have fallen massively, there is no future for diesels, kia should be working on alternative power, electric would be the way too go.

The best car I have a Sorento 2019 2.2 diesel 4wd 8 sp auto , and our 3 rd Kia diesel , ( had 2 Toyotas RAV 4 diesels before but will never touch them again ) Kia is the best value at the moment ....... Cheers from NZ

I bought one sorento GT line just 2months back. But very disappointed with the car. Whenever I tap on the brake there is a “Yi-Yak” sound coming from the brakes. Send to the agent and they say it’s normal. WTF.... also when the car surge to a stop, you can feel the car roll forward with a “tub” sound. Especially when you brake hard. Anyone else got this problems?? Please share.
But what about the emissions? Diesel engine yes, but what emission standard, is it a Euro 6? Or even Euro 6d temp? I think it would be helpful if it was mentioned in the video :-) Otherwise splendid as usual ;)
Had a Kia Sorento since 2016 and while I personally love it, as it's spacious and comfortable it's not without faults. Mainly the manual gearbox. 1st to 2nd, is really clunky and a massive let down compared to the rest of the cars upmarket feel, plus it's a heavy car and would benefit from a wider tread as you can feel it loose grip on tight cornering, even at slow speeds. The start/stop tech can be temperamental, not always kicking in when it should. Plus at just under 4 years old, it is starting to show signs that the build quality isn't quite top notch yet. This is showing itself with creaking plastic and marginal movement from the central console. That said, these are minor quibbles and it's been nothing but reliable. The entire family love it, plus I still have 3 years warranty left. It's the first Kia I've owned and I would definitely recommend it and from what I've seen Kia haven't changed the Sorento much in those 4 years.
Yes, but that price comes with absolutely every option under the sun included. If that was an Audi or a Merc for the same spec you would be paying £60K+. Plus you get a full 7 year/100,000 mile warranty. So look who is laughing now...
@@grahamtricker4103 drove in a uber this morning. Driver came in a kia niro I was so impressed with the smooth driving experience I'm now researching this company.
There is not really a need for SUV in the UK. These are actually less dynamic then saloons and offer less security and cost to operate. No need for artificial vehicles.

People can’t accept that Korean autos are competing against Range Rover, Peugeot, etc. - they need to get their act together.
rabit818: They = 1) people 2) Korean autos OR 3) Range Rover, Peugeot, etc. ?
rabit818 you can’t be serious comparing a RR with a Kia.
How did pug get into this lol

Great review Rebecca. I have the 2010 version of the Sorento, It drives much better with a 215 hp (470 NM) remap. Best car I've owned :)
Do you still have it?
love the tailpipe on these so warm and cozy such a adorable suv
A seven and a half minute review about a 7 seater, in which they talk about the third row seats for 16 seconds only.
I think it's one of the best looking 7 seaters on the market, there needs to be a petrol option now though as diesel is pretty much dead.
Diesel is more economical and less polluting than Petrol. In which was is Diesel dead I'd be keen to know?

Diesel will produce more torque at lower revs, ideal for anything but the smallest cars or with load. diesel engines generally wear slower aswell

As the nation gets fatter people need bigger cars, problem is supermarket car parks etc aren't getting bigger so the fatties struggle to get out.
