Lumpini park in the morning. Catching a B15 boat along the Chao Phraya river. Wandering around Siam Square. Heading out to Chatuchak market on a Saturday (too busy on a Sunday).

This apartment will cost around 500 usd a month , based on yearly rental, but if contact owners directly outside airbnb through facebook groups, real estate sites in bangkok you can easily have deals for monthly rental..bangkok is a renters market..nearly every single apartment building in bangkok above 300 usd a month has a pool and gym

You chose a great area to stay, arguably the trendiest area of Bangkok. Check out The Commons on Soi 17, great place to eat and hang out. Lot's of Japanese expats live around there, so the Japanese food in the area is some of the best. Have fun!

Oh how exciting!! I can’t wait to see all your adventures in Thailand. My boyfriend and I had tickets to Thailand and we were counting down the days. Then Covid hit and we couldn’t go. I’m so glad you got your luggage back. It’s always good to stay positive, because really you had no control over that and there’s no use stressing over it. 😊
So enjoyed this Mandy. I will be in Bangkok for two months and Hua Hin for one month this winter and watching this just got me excited about getting back there. Will definitely be watching everything you post from there!

Glad you got your bag back. As you say, positive mellowed out attitude to it all enabled you to get everything in the end. With a few freebies. Looks like a good apartment at around AUD 2K a month or AUD 66 per day. Very good value really compared to hotels with similar offerings.

Building looks like one of the Urbano group's places. Same fixtures and finishes, basic design/layout, and you're right--their security is excellent. Not trying to doxx you or anything. I live in one of their buildings over on the Thon Buri side. (Here, I'll semi-doxx myself: My building is in the sunrise shot looking across Sapan Taksin.) Nice modern places without being the usual tiny shoe boxes that most modern Thai condos are. Good pick.
Yeah, the jet lag on a 12ish hour time zone change is no joke. Not sleeping at night even though you're exhausted is just how it works. All you can do is suck it up and *not* nap during the day. (Well, maybe you could try dosing yourself at night to sleep, but I'm pretty anti-that. Up to you.) By day three you should be back to almost normal.

FYI...there is a FREE shuttle bus to MEGA BANGNA SHOPPING MALL at the UDOM SUK BTS station on the street level next to 7-11. The shuttle runs from 8am to 11pm every 30 minutes. Udom Suk station is on the Sukhumvit BTS Line heading towards KHEHA from the Asok area.
Finally you got your luggage.Have a nice time in Bangkok.

12 hours time change from north America with Thailand. I also got worst jet lax when I was go to Asia . I originally Thai living in Canada I still didn't go back to Bangkok since I moved to Canada almost 5 years now . But I plan to go in spring next year , and in Thailand will be summer there . Your video make me miss Thailand so much . But thank you for share the video and have fun .

Are you flying a drone? Great opening shots! I'll be there in about a month with my Mini 3 Pro. Thinking of staying on Thong Lo Rd. VERY cool section of the city, do you know it? 😉 Hope to get some good imagery along the Water Gate Klong, especially the sections with IVY. Good news that your bags caught up with you! Been there, too. Now only travel with a carry-on! Be safe in that big city and careful not to share too much info on UA-cam. That's the dad and protector in me. Lol... I used to work in diplomatic and ultra high net worth protection, it stays with you! 😊
Some of the Thailand rent websites you can find places much much cheaper than a $1,000 usd that rent monthly & bigger. The only thing I was told to watch out for is electricity (make sure it’s government & not private). And just keep in mind I don’t live there yet but from my research the MBK mall is a good place for deals on the ground floor & the 3rd floor. For the sleep melatonin. Sorry for all the advice Mandy, just the dad in me.

Som tips for your future travels to BKK
Accept the Singapore Airlines flight (LAX-SIN-BKK).…so much better and you land at the only duty free shopping mall with jet parking in the world, plus it's Singapore!
No need to take more than a carry on to BKK. You can go to MBK/Siam Center, buy and fill your bag there.
Please be safe. With so many weirdos in this world I know you and Lloyd are smart about not showing your exact locations for obvious reasons. I hope you have moved on to another area and no longer going to the massage parlor or other places anymore. Thank you for all the great content and allowing us to share your journey with you.
