Masked Cutie
Hi Jacx! So good to see you here! You crack me up (masked cutie)! Love it!! Thank you! xo
Ann I’m inspired by your fabulous artwork so much so I tried one myself. I haven’t collaged it yet but so far I used cold coffee, graphite and charcoal pencils, neo colour crayons and gold acrylic ink. Image from my head and inspiration from you. Not perfect by any means but my first one and hope to improve 😊
Oh I can’t post my pic on here 🥴
Those materials sound amazing!! I love that you are creating from an image in your head!! That is the best way to develop your own style!! So awesome. Thank you for sharing that with me /us, Lesley!! :) xo
Very interesting how much alcohol are mixing with the acrylic paint. I have never seen this technique before
Hi Jody! It is fun to make. If you add a bit of glycerin, it becomes a bit creamy to use as a glaze. Not too much because it will get sticky. xo
She is unique. I really like her.
Whenever I watch your videos I always think, is she from Jersey? Am I allowed to ask? Lol
Hi Donna! Of course it's okay to ask!! My melodious accent is from New York. You were close! I started out in Da Bronx, then mostly Flushing, Queens, later Astoria. After getting married in 1991, we have been on Long Island. Are you from Jersey? Glad you like the piece! xo
@HeadTripCreations I lived in south jersey when I was young and I couldn't tell if it was jersey or new York, lol. I'm in Colorado now.
I do enjoy watching your art. Thanks for sharing.
I’m just in awe of all your beautiful women ❤ So original and gorgeous!
Ha! I meant Jersey, not Brooklyn (before my coffee!). Wow, Colorado! I'm like Dracula and his soil. I need to stay on New York ground!! LOL. We play with the idea of going south when my hubs retires in 7 years. I retired 2 years ago. Never say never, right? Great chatting. I'm glad you enjoy my art! xo
Thank you so much for sharing! It is absolutely amazing! What did you use to stick down the collage pieces?
Thank you for watching and reaching out, Meagan!! I used Golden's Gel Matte Medium. Thanks again!! xo
First time viewer.....I have a question about your ratio of acrylic paint to alcohol. What is your basic recipe? I always wanted to try this in my art but had no idea how to even start.
Hi Elora! Welcome to my channel! My basic recipe is apprxtly 50/50 acrylic / rubbing alcohol. If you want to glaze, first mix these two and then add apprxtly 10% glycerin - enough to make it creamy but not too much that it is sticky like honey. Let me know if you have any other questions! xo
Hey Ann(e) did you delete your mixed media channel❓❓❓❓❓. I sure do miss it‼️😢😢😢😢
Hi Lynn!!! Yes, I took down JunkDrawJournals in August because my content started out as journaling and switched to abstract art. It got a bit mixed up so I announced my intentions in the Community Tab, but didn't realize that many do not see those messages. In mid December, I started AnniesAbstractArt. I currently have 8 videos up and 1100 subscribers. My upload pace will not be as frequent as it was at JJD or even this channel. the direct URL is youtube.com/@anniesabstractart. Thank you for asking and for watching my content!!!! xoxoxox
@@HeadTripCreations OH YEA IM SO HAPPY❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
YAY! Me, too!! I just replied to you at Annie's Abstract Art!! Thanks a million, Lynn!! xo
Very good but I am not very good at drawing.
Thank you Mercedes! You can use magazine cut outs for the faces, paint for texture, and kits with flowers, butterflies, and other elements from brands like Tim Holtz, etc. You can look up kits on Amazon or find them at Hobby Lobby or Michael's. xo
