Having FI and pragmatism, is difficult & a challenge to combat. "Me first, my values, my feelings.."
I always wondered why i was this way, as I observed others.
Seriously, it is a hard inner battle to not focus on self, its automatic(autopilot). I have found that consciously and intentionally thinking about others & how I can show up helps me not focus as much on myself..
I am so happy that you compare mbti and socionics. I have been so confused with the different theories. I can now see that Se have very different flavours in the 4 subtypes, and that the dominant subtype looks like the description in socionics. I wonder if the dominate isfp/esfp also relate a lot to the enneagram 3,8 and 6sx, the creative to the 7 and 4 and maybe the normalizing and harmonizing to the 6sp, 9, 4so, 4sp or 2sp. Or something like that. I really like this overview and I feel like it can really help with mistyping.
I and "team takoyaki" (Adrien and our affiliate practitioners) are focused on getting enneagram data more often now to help make those correlations.

Hello there. I want to clarify some points that will help you.
When talking about Enneagram you'll hear a lot of opinions on that topic. there is people as example takes Enneagram as style for Jungian types..and this is absolutely insane.
Because Enneagram itself isn't a style or nurture thing, actually it has largely genetic sides to make one's e-type. This is written by modern scientists in enneagram (Don Richard Riso and Rudd Hudson).
So what i want to say is as example enneagram 2 refers to Fe Hero ONLY. It's impossible and insane for someone to think for even one second that 2 can be associated with Fe Shadow Types.
I had studied Jungian analysis and i am telling you enneagram is not what as people think of it.
From Jungian psychology you can analyze this, Simply in order to decode the Enneagram system and its relation to Jungian types.
It's just a huuuggee and complicated thing, no one can talk on those topics expect experts in Analytical Psychology.

INFP here, my Mum is ISFP and she definitely jumped to our defence threatening and chasing off kids that were hassling us. Our dad is ISTP they eventually divorced and she remarried an ESFP (or gained another child)😉
Whoa. 18 minutes in and it's like hitting so many nails on the head. In particular, that very particular creative process of allowing unconscious images to arise. I'll often start there and then thread meaning through them after and then a somewhat coherent larger impact takes shape, but it's very experimental in process and does often have a dark bent. And always scattered projects, experimental photography, electronic music production, short stories, running an underground music magazine etc. and the drive and focus toward one particular thing then becomes a major pain point and a kind of identity confusion. But in the moment when I'm focused on a particular thing, identity is very clear, like designing brand identity for example, you mentioned marketing. What tends to cause these big shifts from one creative endeavor to another is in assessing, is this long term going to have the greatest impact as well as pair with my nature over time? And then the second guessing and moving to other things takes place, losing motivation. I kind of feel like the yang type when all in on something and more yin in those in between periods of direction confusion. "Thematic" is a word you used, and I use the phrase "theme building" when I reflect on one of my greatest strengths.
You also mentioned The Scream painting by Edvard Munch, my favorite artwork. And I've been told my poetry reads like a scream. I don't relate to Bowie or Queen though because they're more physically performative and I like to have an intermediary medium, photography, music, stories, etc. but impact is important. Along with first and second, I also relate to the third type, in terms of reflection & contemplation & diving into esoteric subjects, and the fourth type in feeling alien yet a confidant for those close to me. Tests type me as infp, but I don't care much about mediating or causes, so it never fit. This video really solidifies things for me. And at yes the pulse of the beach, always out looking for the moon at night, or feeling so elated at watching the waves of the water, exploring nature, nature feels so epic to me like that which carries a deep ancient story, not just like pleasant or nice but awe inspiring.

beyond getting more specific with a subtype, I hope people see that each "subtype" is a facet of the type, and that yes, every type has an aggressive side, empathic side, creative side, etc.

Aghhhh, the elusive ISFP…… Joker……. Like the Jauquin Phoenix version, maybe all of them. Actually, Jauquin plays this style in almost all of his roles…
