People are often suprised when i say im an introvert. Im actually very shy, i just kind of forget when i start talking about different topics .
I was a singer. When on stage, youre kind of acting, reading the public and giving what they want. (Had to stop tough, because of illness.)
Usually I often prefer being in the background, observing or just relaxing.
Dominant INFJ, if I had a dollar for every time someone mistook me for an extrovert I’d be rich.
But no I’m not 😂 I need my alone time almost religiously
INFJ Harmozing type here (as scanned by Dario) freaky how on point his explanation is of me and I am literally a Therapist using a bit of this and bit of that modality.
Haha me to I work as an alcohol and drug therapist, and I laughed out loud. Spot on!

0:35 Dominant Subtype - "Bold Educator"
8:48 Creative Subtype - "Passionate Creator"
15:57 Normalizing Subtype - "Enduring Associate"
23:27 Harmonizing Subtype - "Prophetic Councilor"
30:24 Themes All INFJs Share Regardless of Subtype
This list is very helpful as well as the vid. Ty! ❤
Councilor or counselor ?
Which one do you rejoyce as?
@@dominicsey3032 the first and the last
Normalizing INFJ currently sounds like me for the past 5 years, and I'm 22. Participating in technical projects is literally what I do 24/7. In terms of development, it seems like I started out as dominant -> creative -> normalizing. People often think that I'm an NT type because that's how I come off most of the time. I really relate with this statement 17:57, if it's not practical or if I can't turn it into something practical then there's no point.
These subtypes almost seem to correlate with the 4 sides of the mind theory: Dominant ESTP, Creative ENFP, Normalizing ISTJ and Harmonizing INFJ.
That's what I'm thinking too.
Problem is all INFJs can access all 4 sides of the mind so there should not be any subtypes really. It all depends on current situation,
YES
Now I know why INFJ'S can act like the other types. Because we have 4 different components to our brain.
I think the INFJ is a good argument for Jung's structure over MBTI's, where the middle two functions are both considered Auxiliary, instead of one necessarily being favoured over the other.
I think I'm probably lead Harmonizing.
Thanks for the video, Joyce & Dario! 🙂
As an infj creative subtype it’s so true I come off as enfp
What is your Socionics?
@@yellaperida7696 I just took the test idk if it’s accurate or not but it’s the isfj one ESI
Idk how it can happen idk a lot about Socionics but I’m sure I have no si in me
@@Just-99me Try reading the description by Gulenko!
this was super interesting! i feel like i've experienced a little bit of each type throughout my life, hard to say where i land exactly atm
Totally relate to the dominant INFJ description! This also explains why my behaviours don't seem to fit into the stereotypical INFJ descriptions out there.
Me too! It's been such an eye opener to learn about this.
What’s your enneagram?
So true! I relate. I think I'm dominant too. It registered for me right away.
I think I’m an enneagram 6 (although I’ll admit I’m not as familiar with that system, so could be wrong)
My enneagram is 8.
I just learned I'm a harmonising INFJ! How very very cool!
Thank you Joyce ❤ and best of luck setting up your wonderful retreat!
I dream of one day doing the same
Had no idea about the other types, but this explains a lot
Great video!! This is super helpful to understand INFJ. Thank you!
I'm somewhere between Normalising and Harmonising INFJ subtypes. I have traditional desires for marriage and a becoming a father with a family, but I'm not quite satisfied with a completely traditional lifestyle. I relate a lot with the Harmonising traits. I'm a HSI and I like to tailor my approach with each individual person to suit their needs and meet them where they are.
Dream on with being an ENFP on stage ;-) The things you say are usually short, to the point and in a determined voice when you ask your questions or summarize. Nothing to see about Ne or Si. Interaction with others usually comes up when you are in your Fe, oriented on others and not on yourself. The only thing which you have common with ENFP are Catalyst topics like ideals for humanity.
Yeah INFJ'S are very different from ENFP's. I think we are more similar to other FJ types than to FP's.
@@nicolasdanek4225I am very verbose, witty, topic explorative and always late to everything. I can seem ENFPish sometimes ha
I want to learn piano this year. I crave creativity but I have had an avoidant attachment with it for some strange reason. It's like I have to be in a group or a class in order to touch it so I can find a backdoor casual approach. I get overwhelmed with new things that feel like big projects. So annoying. Barely get started ADHD meds.
I also tend to prioritize responsibility even though I resent it, as I feel that I am spending too much time with it. I feel like I have to because all I have is me to rely upon at the end of the day. Nobody can do everything that I have to do
It's like I feel that I must build a foundation for many years. I think I need to find a way to incorporate balance, but I am terrible with time. That is my one major fatal flaw.
Such an amazing conversation, thank you for sharing this!!
Dario's energetic explanation of why an INFJ would door slam is spot on - no exaggeration when you realize someone's energy is heavily affecting you to the point of dysfunction
I’m an INFJ creative but also strongly harmonising and my name is literally Cassandra, I have correctly predicted the outcome of sooo many situations 😅
I LOVE the info about the brain scans in relation to the sub types. I am an Harmonising INFJ interesting!!!
I'm gonna guess I'm the creative type? . . . Either way, hope someone can explain me, ha : )
EDIT: . . . Yup confirmed, former drummer.
This was excellent Joyce and guest, Radio Narnia, I hope I'm pronouncing that correctly : )
Radio Narnia! 🤣👏🏻 I love it hahaha
Whoa I just found you! Thank you!
-Dominant INFJ sound very aspirational ESTP like and probably get mistyped that way the most. Direct, leading more with Se and Ti, less in tune with Fi, yet character is incredibly important (like Jennifer Lawerence).
-Passionate Creator INFJ sound very shadow focused, very ENFP like, and probably get mistyped that way. Leading more with Ne and Fi like behaviors.
-Enduring Associate INFJ sound very superego ISTJ like. Leading with more Si and Te like behaviors, maintaining systems, strong endurance, and focused on social status and values.
-Harmonizing INFJ sound very Ego INFJ to me. Much more stereotypical INFJ because they stay with their primary functional behaviors of Ni and Fe, probably due to someone who's functions were supported during critical development. Focused on interpersonal intimacy the most.
All this supports Jungian 4 sides dynamics and is very fascinating, ultimately, all 4 of these types (ESTP, ENFP, ISTJ, INFJ) have a lot in common, all being interested in the good character of others and humanity in general. They either share the same functions or same shadow functions in opposing order to each other.
INFJ Dominant 🎉
INFJ Creative 🎶
I'm actually a bit nervous to find out... here we go
Thank U!
Humm... I seem to have strong dominate and creative elements but still listening.
Yay!!!!!
My take is that the Normalising INFJ is a safe, bland version. An INfJ that’s too afraid to be one of the other 3 types and shunned the true version of themselves to conform to social norms. I hypothesise that this subtype is the most likely to suffer depression.
Maybe I’m been too harsh 🤷♂️
There could be something to that...
I feel like I fit most into the Normalizing group, though I somehow feel drawn to the Creative and (to a lesser extent) Harmonizing groups, so I'm a bit confused overall on this question. However, I have also had to deal with a _L O T_ of quiet but persistent trauma in my life, so I may have been cowed into the Normalizing group as a coping mechanism. (Trying to emulate/please my super-cerebral yet emotionally volatile father probably didn't help, either...)
Lately I've been getting real tired of my endless, flailing drive towards practical survival, but again, I'm still too bruised and scared (and yes, depressed) to figure out how to fully break out yet. I'm trying, though...
Fascinating. As an INFJ-A Id say I feel most comfortable in Dominant, Creative, & Harmonizing modes, not so much Normalizing, & other MO's depending on my mood & the present moment.😄 The brain scans are interesting, did you work with, or were you inspired by, Dr Daniel Amen & his functional brain scans techniques? I wasn't aware anyone did scan sets based on MBTI types, thats a new layer of wonderful complexity added to MBTI.
Take the test on Sakinorva and look for your GRANT TYPE. 16P test is NERIS (BIG5-inspired) and not MBTI :)
Hey, Joyce! I'm not sure how much you're still keeping up with OPS, but if you are, do you have any guess as to your social type?
#3
I still don't know what type INFJ am I.
Is there a quiz that I can take or something?
I think I can Be #5 anyone INFJ... My Personality change when Someone I am Connected... Chameleon type INFJ
