This a fantastic beautiful 1942 Cadillac walk around video for you to enjoy. You will find a printout in the video of the cars remarkable history. I thank the owner for sharing this wonderful piece of history and of course our appreciation for his restoration and care of such a beautiful car.
The sign says that this 82 year old Cadillac is original. The paint is stunning and the interior looks immaculate. A jewel. Great video thanks so much!!
@@davidellzey8447 it’s a rare car for sure, only 7 built after this one on the last day of production as manufacturing shifted to the war effort. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@ClassicChrome86 thank you. Im sure everyone agrees that we all send our thanks to the owner we all thank you for preserving this rare beauty. Cheers, thanks for watching and commenting.
Yes and when tne “fastback” Mustangs and Ford Galaxies came out in the 1960’s my father referred back to this style of GM cars with the long sloped roofline at the rear. Thanks for watching and noticing what was to come in car designs, very observant . Cheers!
That's a real original lead sled, 'cause I rode in one in the 50's and it didn't bounce or shimmy when it went over pot-holes in the street. Even with all that gawdy heavy chrome for a grill, the car was a beauty.
@@DavidCarte-q8r not according to the owner and his posted papers on the car windows.. I did pause the video for easier reading, thanks for watching and commenting.

Wow.
@1:25 you can really see the "precursor fins" that would grow to become the icons of the 1950s. Just a tiny hint of what was to come.
