I gotta say that I liked most of them. Although, I really like the look of fenders and running boards. The can give the ride a more menacing look and stance. It's what I like about the (in your face) RED 34 Plymouth. But for Pete's sake, that is an overload of color. Thanks for another awesome vid Motor.
The 32 Plymouth and the 31 Ford both caught my eye - especially with the period correct hot rodding. The 37 Ford was sharp, but as you said, wish it would have had a Ford engine (preferably a flatty). Great to hear your voice again sir, hope you're healing up well. Thanks for all you do ~ Chuck
They gotta use a the chevy.. they wanna actually make to their destination and back..🤣🤣.. jk. I hear ya.. I would like to see more people actually use the manufacturer engine
I agree with you completely on the first one, it's totally right up my alley, but you were nicer about it than I'd be. Actually what I think people do nowadays is highball everything so that they can get closer to what shit's worth when people lowball them
I'm thinking that people are crazy with those prices. You can invest thousands into a car, but you're never going to get it all back and that's what I think that they are trying to do.
Ya it's easy to lose sight of what you were aiming to build and then one quick decision leads to another and soon you realize it's too late to start over so you end up with a piece of poopy. I actually put a lot of thought into my build and come up with a plan. According to my plan I'm about two years overdue and quit a bit over budget but I'm steadfast on achieving my end result, a vehicle I will be proud to show off and take mud running.
I think I've figured it out. I think people highball everything they're trying to sell so that they'll end up closer to what shit's worth when people lowball them
I agree with you on that blue & silver 35 Ford. I wasn't paying much attention until you mentioned some mistakes & such & that's when I noticed that the pumpkin of the rear end was off center to the left over an inch, maybe 2! Too much money for that kind of workmanship.
I used to have a 57 ranchero with a 292 in it. They sound good, they're solid cam engines. They do have a problem when they get a lot of miles on them, the cam bearings can turn a little and block off oil flow to the heads. Mine was a worn out turd of an engine
Loving the cars not the prices! I noticed that black 40 chevy coupe had M/T rocker covers, I wonder if it had anything else interesting in the motor? Tasty flat head at the end had edelbrok heads too! Nice to see you're back fella!
Hi there bro. Absolutely great to have you back. Hopefully you are feeling a bit better. That sedan I kind of like but I completely agree with you about the price. Considering there are no electrics. Now the 31 is absolutely gorgeous. A little high on price but I think ultimately worth it and I like the fact that they kept the mudguards and the running boards. I hate it when they take them off especially in the states because you have so many companies that produce those kind of things for those cars whereas in the UK, you would have to search high and low, to find a company to do something like that. That 1940 Chevy is definitely something I could see myself driving. that is just beautiful. I completely agree with you about the price though. that is a little too much. I love that Plymouth. That is just gorgeous. At least it wasn’t in Pepto-Bismol pink. LOL. Now the 32 Plymouth would look fantastic if they kept the mudguards and the running boards. That’s what makes that car. Now we are talking. That 37 Ford convertible, I have to admit that I do like that even though I’m not a Ford guy. That is just beautiful. That is one thing I agree with you on is the sound from an old flathead V8 because it just has a distinctive sound and they were so tunable. Plus you couldn’t break them no matter what. Anyways, bro. Thank you for another fantastic video and another great laugh. I really look forward to your next one. As always do. please take care of yourself and feel better soon. Blessings to you and your family from the UK.
Agree with you. You might get back most of the parts but you never get the Labour . I see too many over priced cars. That’s why Barrett Jackson have so many cars say the bidding goes on.
All those prices should be half what they're asking. I love the old school Ford & Chevy hot rods, but as we see, there are many for sale, and the market dictates the price.none of them are "show car quality." I like the hemi one. As my dad used to say when looking at a car; 'how about you cut the price in half, and take a little off."😂
I'm currently building a 2004 Chevy 4 door blazer, I put 1978 half ton 4x4 axles under it, installed a 700 r4 transmission transfer case from a 1991 suburban in it and I'm using a V6 vortec engine from a 2000 Sonoma and converted it to a 4 barrel carburetor. I have around 6,000 tied up it in just parts we are not talking about the many many hours in Fab work but I'm realistic on what I can sell it for and I probably could get around 3,000 out of it. And yes it is a rust free body and no I didn't do the natty light saw zaw butcher job, I'm doing it the right way this is why it's taking me 5 years so far to get it to where all I have left to do is fuel and break lines and wire up the engine to start using the key. But I am not selling it.
As for the little black hot rod you opened up with this is an electrical problem it was my late father in laws he was a great man and good at a lot of stuff but electric wasn’t one of them. I’ve been through the car it has between 7 to 10 percent leak down the brakes are all fresh shift kit in the 700r4 trans with all the updates. It’s on air ride with a bunch of crazy lights electric fuel pump electric fans with 2 birds nest of wiring under the dash with nothing ran through a relay there’s 12.8 volts coming out of the alternator but only has 9 volts getting to the coil. I would love to keep the car but we already have a stable to big for the corral but it’s either keep this or his 64 dodge polara 426 max wedge with cross ram intake and dual fours. I’ve owned an engine machine shop in this town for 20 years and worked in shop working on offshore race boats, nhra every class which by the way the only way my father in law got the car to run was with a magneto distribution which to a shit. I’ve maintained motor programs for major race teams and helped wrench Reiser to six notional AMA hill climb championships. so in closing next time you want to give an opinion ask more questions you might learn something like the car now has full MSD ignition and the reason it’s at 9700.00 human nature is to beat you down but if we put 8000 on it some body would say I’ll give 4000 you can never go up you can only come down. And if I had the time to fix it I would but battled bone cancer beat that now fighting heart issues, work a full time job and still running a machine shop I don’t have much time and we hate to see the car sitting outside with my loving father-in-law looking down at me mad because his cars outside. God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason ask questions and learn and listen you might get a better opinion thanks Mike Phillips
First let me say I'm sorry to hear about your illness and my prayers go out to you with your battle. I know what you are saying about how folks try and low ball.. and you have to ask more than you want. But the info you thought I should've inquired about , you should have really added that to your listing. I had no intention on purchasing your vehicle, there for I will not message you or anyone with tons of questions about their cars when i have no intention on making a purchase. that black and yellow Ford conver5tible is definitely sharp and my personal favorite color scheme but without a period correct engine I cant see spending more than 28,500 but thats just me
Black is way more expensive then a metallic or candied paint job. There are lots of shades of red better then that red. I have an old Ford flat head v8. No it's not for sale

Chevy is way cheaper and parts more common. Also the small block Ford is a little longer, the Chevy is an easier fit.

I’m thinking some people watch way. Too many car auctions and think. They have big money cars.
Yes I agree.. reality tv has killed a realistic market!
I would like to see that '34 Plymouth painted in a deep midnight metal flake purple with some sunset orange highlights.

I had a 56 crown Vic with a 312 cid y block out of a 59 ford police interceptor it would rock and roll believe me loved it

Red fades faster than most paint colors
It’s to do with ultra violet light spectrum blue which red obsorbes instead of reflecting it

Not that dang high.. nothing listed was worth anywhere close to the asking

Cheaper than Fords.
