“Something positive about Dixie Carter? She sleep with the boys”
“That’s not a positive, she didn’t sleep with me!”
Backing what Jim said about Vince - I jobbed for Titan back in the late 80's.... you rode to matches with guys who Vince paid by the mile, all the food and drink you wanted in the backroom, and set up in a good hotel that you didn't pay for when it was over. And when it was time to get paid Chief Jay, Pat and Vince set up a table and called you up individually and each sincerely thanked you as you got the check.
Far better than getting paid in pizza and sleeping in the back of your car at a rest station along the highway...
Positive thing about Jim herd: he indirectly helped to bring about the greatest Royal Rumble Match ever by fucking over Ric Flair so much
Yes!!! My all time favorite night of watching wrestling as a kid.
And we got the “with a tear in my eye...” post match promo
@@williamflowers9435 noTo be confused with Raw Is War's "Thorn In Your 👁."
Bobby made that match over the top.. without Heenan it still would have been great, but with Heenan on commentary made that match legendary IMO
I had to look twice to figure out that was Michaels in that dress 😂 beautiful work!
He living out being the one of biggest drama queens he was behind the scenes in this artwork
The Shawn Michaels comic is by far the best of Travis' work.
One positive for Russo is he has been the fuel for some classic Jim content
@Randall Glatt Kenny Olivier.
Married Shawn and fkd Stephanie lmao
@Randall Glatt I saw a Horner match and he wasn't the shits in the ring.
I thought Corny like(s/d) "🤠" Bill Watts.
20:19 Cant believe they didnt make the 'Kept her legs & the business open' even after Brian talked about it.
Jack Pfefer positives:
"Christine Jarrett threatened to kill him."
That picture of Michaels in a dress has me in stitches, Travis is a genius.
Jim herd: Didn’t see loyality like that since Korea !
My favorite line Cornette recites
Not gonna lie, at first I thought the thumbnail was edge and vicky
The glasses was a dead give away when I saw this I was laughing non stop absolutely hilarious
😂
😭😭😭
Is that a young Hunter Hearst Helmsley and 1990's Heart 💔Break Kid lol
Yes 😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
....or "the clique with hair"!
HBK has his smile back 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh yeah Hunter likes them long haired divas
Anyone who thinks Triple H isn’t really The Game or the Cerebral Assassin hasn’t been paying attention. He latched onto to Shawn (who had Vince’s ear and got his way all the time) and then latched onto and married Stephanie (who better to convince and influence Vince in decisions than the mans daughter). He’s been playing chess but at the same time he genuinely loves the business and is a student of the game.
Its truly the perfect nickname for him
Heyman has to be one of the greatest bookers. He had nothing to work with and made those guys near household names.
Yeah I was watching ECW religiously as a 13 year old and swore Taz was 7 feet tall 🤣 Paul worked some magic back then
The WWF wasn't the first Wrestling company to venture into merchandising. Gorgeous George was selling dolls of himself going back to the 1940's. The JWA (which featured a young Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba - as well as Rikidozan) put out vinyl figures around 1969. Then after the JWA split, All Japan had bendable figures in the 70's and New Japan released the highly valuable Popy action figures in 1981. Heck, Hogan's first figure was released as an unpainted model kit in 1980 and only available in - you guessed it - Japan.
Easy, I wouldn't have even spent this much time.
Triple H: Proved that you can win a ladder match with a sleeper hold. He also continued to make the sleeper hold look somewhat realistic while the rest of these jokers are patting each other on the head. He had great psychology so long as you kept him away from that damn sledge hammer and proved you didn't need steroids to be a great WWF worker(even if he did end up on them)
Vince Jr: Pay per view. He opened up a completely new market for professional wrestling, a new way for promoters and in ring and ringside talent a like to make money.
Paul Heyman: Great photographer, great manager, mouthpiece to physically capable men who couldn't talk, created a new place to work. Mentored Gabe Sapolsky.
Ole Anderson: Maintained the most financially successful territory and one of the most successful runner ups. Educated Dave Meltzer. Protected wrestlers from overexposing or even just exposing themselves if they were not ready. Original of the most iconic power stable in professional wrestling and a runner up faction(this one was REALLY easy).
Jack Pferer: Launched tag team wrestling as we know it. Paved the way for minis wrestling. Tried to enforce weight classes, even among women wrestlers.
Dixie Carter: Gave Jeff Jarrett money he needed to keep fed alive long enough to learn how to turn a profit.
Vince Russo: Gives a spotlight to embattle indie wrestlers like Taeler Hendrix, and former stars like Chyna.
Jim Herd: Has stayed away from professional wrestling after initial run.
Triple H and Brock Lesnar is two of the most smartest men in business.
OMG that artwork of HHH and HBK tying the knot and HBK wearing the wedding dress he definitely was one of the biggest drama queens behind the scenes only seems fitting 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
HBK actually started the women's revolution, by being a complete pussy drama queen backstage
Tying
@@TNLable you were backstage back then or you just repeat what others say?
@@TL2354 well those are very well documented

LMFAO this Thumbnail is Absolutely Hilarious Great way to start my morning
It´s 5 in the afternoon dude.
how was your morning? I just woke up to rabbit piss and poo everywhere. just finished mopping and now going to have a bat. what are you up to today Ben?
@Tiger timezones are a mere mortal creation. This is why I don‘t believe in the concept of time.
Looks like Test .
Ole’s heel turn 80 promo on Dusty was one of my favorite promos of all time! “Well you’re gonna hear it!!!!”
Sunny said that HHH said: "One day.. I'm going to run this whole thing."
Sunny also said she wasn't fucking Shawn....
Sunny also said oh Shawn, you’re real big. I’m not questioning the truthfulness of Sunny’s comments, I thought we were playing the quote that skank game.
Sunny is a stable person and a bastion of honesty.
@@takerdust Maybe she is when she's not drinking, on drugs or stalking anybody.
As of today, turns out he ended up running the whole thing
One positive I’d say for Russo is he did seem to try and involve everyone in the roster in something even if it did lead to a lot of different factions of job guys.
This is correct. Russo had a storyline for everyone up and down the card. We tuned in for Rock/Austin vs Vince, but the undercard had storylines that kept you from flipping channels.
Positive Russo: helped make you realize how good other bad booker/writers could be so you could appreciate their work more.
The one (and probably only) positive I can think of about Vince Russo is that he put out enough storylines that everyone on the roster got used.
"He (Triple H) has the keys to the f n kingdom" - Jim Cornette
He can run it but can he take the criticism when it goes wrong
@@DannBlueEyes He’s super rich... I don’t think he’ll be too heartbroken
Dixie Carter gave Dutch Mantel and Gail Kim the platform to create The BEST WOMEN's WRESTLING DIVISION (The Knockouts) since The Golden Age, paving the way for today's female grapplers!
We may never know how much money Vince took off of merchandise. The Road Warriors notable spiked shoulder pads were sold as a foam toy version in the early 90s. (Before his death) Animal claimed he barely saw any money off of those sales. He was shocked to hear later that they made over $12 million off of sales in 1992. Vince reportedly pocketed all of it to cover losses in other areas, most notably his upcoming legal fees.
I wish Animal and Hawk would have been smartened up sooner straightened McMahon out.
Problem is, his partner was messed up on drugs and was a liability to him.
HHH and Edge putting Jeff Hardy over at Armageddon 2008 was an awesome way to end that year.
I knew Jim would pass the ball to Brian on Shitstain, lol. The one positive for Shitstain was that he was very good at using the entire roster. Everyone had some kind of storyline going on. Some were a hit and some weren't, but at least all of the performers were being allowed to contribute every week in some way. He didn't have guys going weeks without being on tv, or just being thrown in matches for no reason.
Jim (on HHH): He's done a good with NXT, although I know what's going on of late."
RD: "Oh you didn't know?"
Being from GA. Ole was the man and looked grumpy. Old school dad mean mug
@Tee from GA, guys like Ole & Bill Watts & Harley Race were great at booking angles & storylines that the fans could actually buy into & believe, whereas now Vince & his "creative team" seem to enjoy insulting the intelligence of the viewers as long as Vince himself is "entertained" & not falling asleep like the majority of us are that watch Raw or SD or at times NXT.
Corny's thumbnails are the best lol
Gonna break kayfabe here but Charlie from Starkville IS BRIAN LAST
The 'Anderson Brothers' was so convincing I still want to believe they're related.
@Travis Heckle .......bro!!!! LMAO
No Doubt Ole, Watts and Verne Gagne are the best bookers of all time.
Eddie Graham and Jerry Jarrett (via Jerry Lawler especially) deserve inclusion as well. And the proof is that all three of those men worked so very well with Terry Funk in NWA Florida and in Memphis. The Funker might be the most impressive generational influence in Pro Wrestling history.B.W.
@@madbrowniac7871 Okay Maybe Jerry Jarrett also
Verne? He put himself out of business by not putting the belt on Hogan
@@TL2354 His positives outweighs his negatives
OMG After all these years Jim still mad about the "Curtain Call".
Loved the Attitude Era, but looking back in retrospect. Crash TV seemed like a flash in the pan. Can't argue about the abundance of talent on the roster from Main-event level talent to Midcarders to the jobbers.
Carter..... kept a place open, with tv, for wrestlers who weren't in the WWE....?
Shit Stain.... gave Lawler an opportunity to yell "PUPPIES!"
Herd.... because of him, Flair went to the WWF! Good times :)
All but Russo make sense because Lawler's commentary does not hold up. He may have been great in the ring but he was no Bobby Heenan at the commentator's desk. He was also nowhere near Corny, Ventura, or even Heyman.
He got Bruno Sammartino to be in the Hall of Fame. So I forgive him for beating Sarge at the 97 ppv
Sarge was way past his prime. Of course he needed to beat him
@Randall Glatt Bruno was a sell-out.
@@Hi-kq1vi For 7 figures? I would too.
Russo definitely had a bunch of ideas. Of course all of them loose, with not connection to each other, and often nonsensical, but at least he could always come up with something. He was also making sure that everybody on tv has something to do.
This artwork is gotta go in the Smithsonian
LMAO just when you thought Travis couldnt top himself he proves you wrong!! Love this thumbnail! 😂
Oh man Travis is so wrong and so right for doing that thumbnail 🤣🤣🤣
Here's a bigger challenge, say something positive about Tony Kahn as a booker.
Brodie Lee's tribute show
@@QuickManEXE that's actually a good answer
@@DespicablepunK25 I guess I won that challenge lol.
@@QuickManEXE done in one.
It's hard to balance doing what's best for business and forming bonds of civility with the people you're paying. "Hate to see you go, but..." Vince is the last of the promoters to come from the era where a lot of promoters ran their territories like they were the mafia, and Vince won over a lot of them over by being more civil than that. While there are definitely some dissenters, Vince does enough to inspire enough loyalty where once things have cooled down, the outgoing talent is willing to try again if WWE contacts them. We will see if Triple H inspires that same loyalty, especially given some of Ricardo Rodriguez's comments about the divide that formed between FCW guys and NXT guys due to how Triple H played favorites in ways Vince didn't for developmental talent.
Stephanie's jaw is drawn perfe...oh
OMG that illustration! 😂 It's a nice day for a white wedding!
Hey Jim Cornette, Vince Russo did make Booker T the world heavyweight champion a few times and those are world championship's he never would have gotten in the WWE. So him pushing Booker T to the main event was one of the best things Vince Russo ever did in professional wrestling. As we can see the WWE especially back then wasn't ever trying to make a top Black world champion and everyone I know whose a fan of wrestling agrees with me on this.
Sorry Admiral but I must have been sleeping on Empok Nor, when the WWE created The Rock. I am pretty certain he was a world champion somewhere there. Maybe the Pah Wraiths have caused amnesia.
@@jasoncrane1928, lol I actually went to school with a Jason Crane in Richmond, California back in 1994. Could that be you lol? But anyway nope I wasn't over sleeping on Empok Nor when the Rock was created. The Rock who is Afro-Canadian mixed with Samoan was promoted as a Samoan and not Black and the WWE did that shit on purpose knowing he was mixed with Black. The Rock has never not once claimed to be the first Black champion until somebody brought this up to him on twitter recently around the time when Kofi won the world title in which he responded by saying "I'm both" but he never mentioned this otherwise in the many years he was in the spotlight and he got shunned by a lot of Black wrestling fans. I'm Black and I like the Rock but I did find it odd he never mentioned that. Ahmed Johnson said in an interview that the Rock was a White guy in a mixed Black & Samoan body and Tony Atlas has said in shoot interviews that Rocky Johnson thought he was better than American Blacks because as a Canadian Black he didn't go through the same level of racism that the American Blacks suffered and still go through to this very day which tells me that there is some truth to what is being said about the Rock denying his Black heritage. I think that because he is a relative of the Samoan wrestling dynasty whose father and grandfather was in the business he definitely got a leg up somewhere within it. Booker T was not treated nowhere near with the same respect as the Rock. They let the Black fans especially know how they felt when they had him lose to Triple H in a racially charged storyline where he didn't win the world championship so that said it all right there. No the Pah Wraiths didn't cause me to have any amnesia I remember everything clear as day. Thank you.
@@Janayla94 Did you Forget Ron Simmons was the first black World Champion in WCW not Booker T and major Push in WCW if I am right it was Jim Crocket who pushed for Simmons to win the championship
@@992ras , no I didn't. Ron won the WCW world heavyweight championship when WCW was still owned by the Turner Broadcasting Company way back in 1992. The WWE loves taking credit for Ron Simmons title win when they really had nothing to do with WCW in any capacity in 1992. When they bought the company in 2001 and obtained the video library than Ron Simmons really became their boy! Whatever! But Vince Russo should be given credit for at least making Booker T the world heavyweight champion when he was writing for WCW and as we seen in WWE he never became the WWE champion and his world heavyweight championship reigns were jokes.
@@Janayla94 Jim Crocket was still running WCW in 92, he left when they did the transition to Turner broadcast. Jim Crocket actually owned it till like 94 or 95 which is when Bischoff came in the picture. Also Dusty Rhodes was the Booker for WCW at that time and left when Crocket did. Really the first black wrestlers to hold belt was Bobo Brazil who was never recognized by the NWA is the heavy weight champion because it was way back in the 50’s Bobo Brazil is recognized as one of the greatest wrestlers of his time all being in the Northern Territories because the southern territories would not allow a black wrestler. The reason no one gives Russo any credit is him and Bischoff were the down fall of WCW. WCW height and best wrestling was between 88- 95 after that it goes down hill
Didn't Russo have Father James Mitchel play the devil in his crummy faith based promotion? I mean, that's some great casting so it counts right?
Way to go jim cornette
One day, I will get my question read out on one of cornys podcasts.
I'm trying to pay money to advertise with them. And no Answers from Brian or Jim Thus Far! You'll get your Questions in buddy! Good luck ✊🏽✊🏽👍🏼
No you won’t lol. Brian and Jim come up with these questions themselves. They create an echochamber of questions they want to hear
Only Russo positive I can think of: He liked to feature the entire roster...
The reason why the Attitude Ere was the best. It wasn't just 1 or 2 guys on top. There were a half dozen that you could easily plug into the main event that would be believable. But even midcard guys had something interesting going on.
I am at a loss for words to say for this thumbnail! LOL!!!
I wonder how ppl would say if Triple H was in the same position but didn't merry Stephanie
I love the thumbnail lmao.
Well,i was waiting for Tony Khan
Herd: he made good pizza
For all we know Herd sucked at Pizza Hut too. I worked in companies where the CEO would tolerate a few losers who didn't understand business. Sometimes private businesses are run worse than government, and a few of them manage to survive and not go under.
"she kept it open". For just a moment I genuinely thought they were using this as slang for sleeping with the wrestlers
What is the significanxe if the blacj car card?
Ok that is unquestionably the undisputed champion of thumbnails. Beautiful
The fact that Vince had a much better build than stone cold when they had a match still confuses me.
He was literally eating steroids like candy
What’s this collection I can go through pfefer have a museum? Need more details on that
i'll give to russo that some angles between Stone Cold/Vince in 1998-early 1999 (pre WM 15) are classic. the problem is that he was a one-trick pony and rehashing the same stuff got old fast
Russo wasnt the mastermind behind vince and austin, the montreal screwjob lead to that.... which was actually Jim Cornettes suggestion.
@@leeherring8880 yea so indirectly Corny was responsible for the biggest feud of the Attitude Era😂
Where would AJ Styles be if not for TNA?
He’d probably would have fallen off the edge of the flat Earth.
Honestly AJ is a generational talent. He would’ve found a niche somewhere eventually. I mean Daniel Bryan was on the radar 2 years after making his start in 99.
@@Hacksaw_HIM_Thuggin I agree, I’m just mocking his grasp of science and geography.
HHH is fine. That’s it. Fine. Not great. Not a legend. He’s fine.

Travis's thumbnail is hilarious!
"Marrying Shawn and fucking Stephanie" 😂😂😂
Ayy my little dog chuck getting his warning shot 😂
The only positive thing I can think of for Vince Russo is he helped make Booker T a star! He’s one of my favorites and if it weren’t Russo he would never be a Five Five Five Five Five Time WCW World Champion.
Should put a video together of all Charlie from Starkville Mississippi questions !
I was watching this as soon as Shawn came up a roach showed up... how appropriate 😂
A question I present... Without the crash TV style do people think Mick Foley would have gotten over as much as he did... Sorry but unless you watched week to week when it happened like I did your opinion isn't as valid...not trying to have that "gatekeeper" attitude but I want opinions from people who saw it as things happened and not just a looking back take because hindsight would impair your opinion if you didn't experience it as things played out
It was what turned WWF around in 1997-although his stuff had to be drastically rewritten for it to work, but before he was on the writing team they were doing garbagemen, clowns, plumbers, hockey players etc gimmicks, Rocky was getting killed as a white meat babyface etc. There was nobody else that was going to come up with that direction & it was the start of business turning around as people were tuning in to see the women showing off more skin, the wild brawling, the rapidly evolving storylines, DX etc.
Herd, good at drinking alcohol, for wrestling maybe ordering catering?
Dixie Carter, made sure the boys were relieved and gave them a paycheck
Vince Russo, Converted a bunch of people to a faith that maybe good for them and kept the sports jersey business alive by wearing one all the time
Bubba powerbombing Dixie through a table was positive in my book lol
I wonder if Jim Cornette has any opinion on the singer from Smashing Pumpkins owning the NWA league.
He talked about it some back when Billy Corgan bought the rights to NWA
HHH created a glorified Indy vanilla jobber federation with NXT. I don't see that as any sort of positive. There has been good talent in there no doubt, but 90% of it is spot monk3ys.
And the only truly positive thing from Vince is that if it wasn't for his past fnck ups, we wouldn't have Dark Side of the Ring.
I thought it was edge and lita at first glance
HBK❤️HHH (looks like Edge a little bit)
Was always wondering why HBK didn’t marry HHH
😂😂
Because Shawn belonged to Vince McMahon
Despite being a detriment, you got to admit that Russo did have ideas that got ratings. Jim even explained before was that one of the problems was they kept doing it over and over that it stopped being interest. By that logic, if Russo did these specific ideas in moderation, they would have lasted a bit longer.
Without vince mcmahon filtering russo’s ideas, he couldn’t do it again though. So basically he had a lot of ideas, but without someone filtering out all the bad ones he made a loooooooot of mistakes
@@alexalexalex797 Yeah, it is something positive. Despite Russo clearly having an attitude, as well as nutcase, it goes to show that if he actually learned and followed advice, Russo could have contributed better.
Also for those unaware, Vince Russo is now on Cameo.
Jim and Brian have to listen to that. I'm sure Shitstain charges way too much since he's only worth about 35 cents and he thinks single handedly invented everything successful in the Attitude Era.

Did Dixie really sleep with the boys?
I can't imagine that.
However, I can understand why the boys would want to sleep with her, since Dixie Carter is a beautiful, wealthy woman 😂
She definitely did. Both Kevin Nash AND Booker T eluded to it but never publicly said that it was happening. Just if you’ve listened to both enough you know what they’re trying to say without stooging lol
Dont blame them though. She was IT back in 2005-2006.

The greatest thing Vince Russo has given to the wrestling world was pissing off Jim Cornette, giving us us the feud that still lites a fire under Jim everytime he hears Russo's name.
Dusty Rhodes was great Booker in the late 80’s till he retired from wrestling
For russo I would say goldust. We wouldn't be talking about Dustin Rhodes now if not
Sounds like mrs jerret was a ruff lady
Much as I despise Russo, he did get the mid-card and lower-card guys angles etc. Apart from ECW I can't think of any roster that used all of it's roster so well. Now a lot of Russo's angles were trash but it did give a lot of guy's a chance to show what they can do that in future generations they'd just be left on the sidelines.
the pfeffer stories should be on dark side of the ring
Eric bishoff is a channel changer..he single handedly made me change the channel when in tna.. he had way too much screen time
