One of the all time greatest moments in RAW history. Absolutely historic moment because it was the passing of the torch from Heenan to Cornette as the top manager of the WWF. 1993 honestly is one of my favorite years for the company. The Smoky Mountain invasion, Bret vs Lawler, Steiners/Quebecers, Crush heel turn, start of Owen’s heel run, Yokozuna as a monster heel champ, Corny as the American Spokesman and the crossover with the USWA. It was a overall fun year.
UA-cam just started randomly recommending the clip to people with wrestling videos in their watch history The more people that click it the more it gets recommend, its a snowball.
For me its such a moment because the torch is LITERALLY being passed. Bobby knew he was on his way out and Cornette was just absolutely perfect to take over for him. Bobby’s real laugh is almost a cackle from the gut, which Jim does also when something is rottenly funny to him lol and everytime Jim got on the mic,Bobby would just hoot in laughter. He loved Corny as a professional and for your idol to give you ultimate rub,it has to make Jim just feel so joy inside.
How were Jim and Bobby able to speak to each other for several minutes without scripted dialogue written by a college-educated Hollywood screenwriter? Thankfully the WWE is a bit more professional these days, as reflected in the ratings. 😏
When Cornette talked about his segment with Heenan a few months ago, I couldn't find it anywhere on UA-cam and two weeks ago someone uploaded it to UA-cam. That is why it's trending. First time we saw it since 1993.

What I love so much about that debut is Bobby's priceless reaction to seeing you walking into the ring. That's what made your five minutes with him so genuine because he humanized the both of you as over babyface heels at a time when WWE was struggling to keep up with WCW.
This clip was not available on UA-cam until the last week(?). I tried to track it down months ago and only found it on Dailymotion. Hopefully Vince’s lawyers leave it TF alone.
