This looks absolutely delicious! I just made your meringue cookies and they are in the oven baking right now! They look amazing! Thanks for all the recipes!!! Love Abby!
Thanks very much. For now I have bought a £ 90 stand mixer. Will definitely buy the kenwood once I get going. Btw, the trifle turned out so so great ! Thank you
Stephanie, I love trifle and this recipe looks yummy, and easy! I have my son coming home (to Canada) from Ireland for my upcoming wedding in August and this recipe will be perfect for the whole family, and one that my grandkids will enjoy as well! I was wondering if in the future you could do a video on how to use a pastry bag for decorating desserts, aimed towards the beginner? That would be so awesome. I've been watching your videos for a while now and just realized lately that you could watch your tutorials on UA-cam. Thanks Stephanie for all you share with us dessert lovers!
Hi Stephanie , just wanted to say many thanks for sharing all these wonderful, beautiful recipes. I made the chocolate cake and it turned out so great ! My 6 yr old enjoys helping me with baking and he loves it. I had never baked even One simple cake in my life until I found you. You explain it so very well and it turns out perfect. Today I made your blue berry sauce and it tastes so great. as I am going to make the blueberry trifle tomorrow as we have guests coming over. Hope I can whip a perfect cream. Also , I have got a new stand mixer. Pls could you tell me what stand mixer do you use. Have ordered molasses online as next will be ginger biscuits. Sorry for the long post but I am so excited about this. Stay blessed and happy. Xx
That is wonderful that you're enjoying baking and it is so much fun when you have your son helping out. And I'm happy to hear that you are having success with the recipes. I use a Kenwood Titanium Chef stand mixer.
Stephanie, you've done it again. I have a question, instead of mascarpone cheese, could you substitute it with regular cream cheese? Please let me know.
stephanie, i always wonder that you use an electric element when cooking for your videos. if i could have a gas stove, i would much prefer it - i think they have much better temp control - and isn't your regular stove gas? (the one behind you in this newer house?) btw, there are actually some glass pyrex pots which are electric stove safe - wonderful creations!
Joy of Baking thank you, stephanie. i grew up with gas, and now have electric burners which can be "iffy"... what exactly "is" sim, low, med, etc... each stove is different. plus electric burners hold heat. living in texas with the heat, i always hate turning on the oven in the summer, and even my electric stove puts out a lot of heat in the kitchen. (i always put a kettle of water over the burner after i finish cooking to absorb the residual heat to try to keep my kitchen as cool as i can - lol!) could you tell me what induction hot plate you use, and does it retain heat after being turned off? it sure looks a lot easier to use and clean than my stove! i usually only use one burner at a time, so it's definitely worth investigating! i always watch your videos - i learn a lot, and i always enjoy the little clips of baxter at the end - i grew up with Airedales! thank you, kali
The brand I use is a Caso. Induction burners don't get hot even when you are using them. Only the pot gets hot. The only thing is they won't work with aluminum or copper pots. You have to use either steel or iron pots. Basically it works with any pot that a magnet will stick to the bottom of the pot.
Joy of Baking thank you for the information, stephanie. it sounds wonderful for summer cooking, but i think i'd better first get out a magnet to check my pots and pans and see what sticks....lol! (i have a varied assortment of cookware!)
How many times have you gone wrong while learning or making a new recipe? Sometimes the product used is not as expected and the whole thing goes for a toss? How many years have you been baking?
+US How many times one has to make a new recipe to get it right, depends on many things. Some factors are the person's baking experience, the difficulty of the recipe, and then the recipe itself. I've been baking seriously for about 30 years.

Trifles, truffles, tribbles, ... no troubles. Yum!
Can you use potato starch instead of corn starch?
These look delicious... I love blueberries

Byron Chandler She said in the video that you can substitute it with cream cheese if you can't find/afford mascarpone. :)
Meesherbeans Thanks for the advice.

Great Recipe! Can we use black grapes instead of blueberries? Or which other berries can we use?
Hi, any cake or desert recipes for Vegan? Preferably with no refined sugar and all natural.. there's a challenge for you :)
How long does it take to whisk the mixture before it becomes whipped cream? 5 minutes or so?
veryrich.excellentfor...specialocation
thank you 😊 😊 💞 💞 💞
Tasty!!! Now if only I could find some blueberries easily and not spending a fortune on them!!! :P
For the sauce, could you substitute blue berry pie filling?
Yes, you could do that.
Yipee, I'm good now :)
pretty good
Mmmmm doesn't that look delish!
Im nearly 60 yrs old, and have to say I have NEVER even seen a stale cake, let alone tasted one.

Kali Dallas the hot plate I use is an induction hot plate. This type actually has much better heat control than a gas stove.

Good morning can I use frozen blueberries and I making your banana bread this morning since it's raining
Yes, you could do that.
Joy of Baking Can we freeze the ready ones? Until how long can we freeze these?
Lavina WishMaster Once the trifles are made I wouldn't freeze them. However, you can store them in the refrigerator for several days.
How many times have you gone wrong while learning or making a new recipe? Sometimes the product used is not as expected and the whole thing goes for a toss? How many years have you been baking?

How do you wash your pastry bag clean ready for next use?
+US I wash them in soft and water. Then I let it dry on one side, then turn the bag inside out, and let it dry on that side.
Can we use dried blueberries?
Noooooo.Try frozen.
yumm :)
